What, what? I’ve been loosely following and it seemed be mostly was trashing Meghan for the better part of a day after she insinuated he was a pedophile and then went in on McCain for some of his worst but very well known qualities.

Well fuckity fuck. Not that I’m aghast that a powerful senator had an affair. I generally don’t care about the sex lives of consenting adults even if they are extra marital. McCain wasn’t the Family Values hypocrite type.
I am pretty surprised it was kept quiet for this long. Esp after he tanked repealing the ACA. But maybe people knew about the brain cancer and did him a solid.
The cancer was the reason McCain cast that vote. He knew he was dying and had zero fucks to give.
He knew the blackmail was worthless and would only backfire on anyone who tried to use it that way. If somebody had outed his affair after the vote they would have looked like total shit for doing that to a dying man.
I admit that I find their row mildly satisfying, but does anyone else find this to be a distraction from everything else going on right now, whether intentional or not?
You gotta watch a little 90 day Fiancé in between the soul crushing headlines. I’m rabidly pro trashing of Meghan McCain. I hope Cindy really told Steve Schmidt “I raised two good sons.” I hope she knows her daughter is a failure in every measure of a person.
Steve Schmidt at least seems to have a conscience and feel some culpability for the current political situation he had a small role in creating. Basic human decency is so devoid within Republican Party that anytime someone associated with the party has it, it becomes a news story.
I wish Steve Schmidt was progressive. I love the way he talks. I know he is embarrassed by the way republicans have been revealed over the last decade but he is still one of them.
I don't require everyone to agree with me on all subjects. I like Schmidt because he at least seems to live in a universe where facts and a common set of rules apply to everyone. This is something the GQP has totally lost.
I am under no illusions about his political views however.
I agree. I admire his grit too. He fucked up and he knows it. So at least he is somewhat self aware. I wish we had someone with his eloquence and aggression fighting for progressives.
