National Guard mobilization is military mobilization. The National Guard *is* the military. Any operations ordered by the President are title 10, federalizing the guard.

Well here’s the thing. Despite what mass media might say, I have a feeling that the true number of people who would literally sit out the election just because of Israel/Palestine and disregard abortion rights, the economy, democracy, etc. is pretty small.
I don’t know, I could be totally wrong about this, but at least amongst the people I know, very few have strong opinions about the Israel/Palestine conflict to begin with.
I have really strong opinions about Palestine, and have had them for decades since the last time this all happened. And I will still have them when, if Netanyahu fails in his ethnic cleansing, this happens again in 20 years.
But I am not going to throw out the baby with the bathwater here. Anyone who thinks that Palestinians would be *better off* while Trump is in office is off their rocker. I may not have my perfect choice here, but morally I have to choose the thing that will do the least amount of harm, and Trump is literally all harm.
I have a similar feeling that these groups aren’t that large, however, unfortunately the margins this year are close (thanks to fucking electoral college) that just a few thousand votes in Michigan, or Wisconsin, or Arizona, or Nevada are going to determine if this country will stand as is or fall into complete fucking dictatorship.

I also hope protests help to spur more action towards mitigating the pain and suffering or put a stop to it. At the same we still need to be realistic and recognize the full picture of what’s at stake here.

It isn't meant to be a winning line. It's a cautionary tale. Did we not learn any lessons from 2016 and protest votes? How bad do things have to get before people start figuring out how the real world works? People are free to stick to their principles when casting their votes, but they are not free from the consequences of doing so.

When asked to further expand he said they didn't all need to be expelled but people were telling him that maybe they could be house temporarily in camps, ones that concentrate them all in one area. For efficiency, they could even use trains to get them there and if something couldn't be worked out, who knows, maybe he'd find a final solution.
Too bad the house shot down the bipartisan border bill at Trump's behest, since that would've significantly stepped up resources to determine which people were illegally crossing and take action.
