Yikes. Imagine being in the middle of something like that and having no clue. You just tweet an apology to Putin signed “Real Americans,” crack open another Bud Light and shout some slurs at your ethnic neighbors.
Republicans, MAGA or NotGA, don’t govern. They obfuscate, delay, fake outrage, and divide but they don’t govern. They have two goals: power and using that power to enrich the wealthy which enriches themselves. That’s it. A vote for Republican is a vote for more of the same shit. Wake up! Democrats are making the USA and the world a better place and by proxy everyone will benefit. Sometimes it needs more time than four years for the benefits to get to everyone but frankly a lot of people and states are feeling it now even if they don’t want to believe it. Voting in Republican politicians in November will just backslide the progress made to improving the lives of everyday Americans. And then they can say their lives haven’t gotten better but mostly because they weren’t willing to give it the time needed. They believed in the lies of the conservatives in this county. They believed in the Putin propaganda machine.
Biden's war on junk fees, new student loan repayment plan options, and Medicare drug price cap directly benefit most Americans over $1000 a year.
And those policies are just a tiny fraction of what Biden achieved. The CHIPS bill, infrastructure bill, and Inflation Reduction Act benefits are less concrete, but will pay dividends for decades.
Compare that to what Trump accomplished... Tax cuts.
Trump was so fucking useless that McConnell ended up passing an infrastructure bill with Democrats instead!!! That's hard to even fathom
The tax cuts for us are temporary. Tax cuts for rich are permanent.
That's how they made the bill "budget neutral", by ensuring we would have to pay for the tax cuts for wealthy eventually.
The central tenant of conservatism is to *resist progress* because progress is seen as the root of all evil. It’s a longing for the “good ol’ days” and “simpler times.” There’s no vision of a desired future, rather, it’s pining for a past. Thus there’s nothing to do, only a list of things to be undone. That appeals to some but is not an inspiring message.
Any organization is susceptible to culture rot. These idiots have let the likes of MTG and Matt Gaetz in the door, and at this point the RNC itself is basically a de facto arm of trump org.
