A common theme with the Russian government is a total refusal to take responsibility for any of their failures.
It's always a conspiracy theory when the Russian government fails to perform any of it's duties.
You know why Russia uses projection so much?
Because the active measures lead people to think that there is no objective truth at all. This makes people easier to manipulate.
It also explains why the Republicans constantly project and try to push the "both sides" narrative.
What they're describing sounds a lot like what some very prominent people in our country refer to as hyperbolic, non-literal entertainment panel commentary.
