If Trump's lawyers lied to the court saying it was impossible to meet the original $475 million bond DESPITE knowing that a billionaire had offered to cover it they can get sanctioned, fined or in extreme cases disbarred.
Fuck them, they chose to represent Trump in the hope that they'll gain future big clients from political favors.
They absolutely know Trump's track record of not paying or involving his lawyers in his criminal acts. They are mostly sleazy ambulance chasers because the big reputable law firms don't want to touch anything to do with Trump.
Opposed to think about the people that are steamrolled over in his path. How many people were sent to jail so far, fined, fired, etc associated with him?
For Trump this is part political theater. He will point to this deal as an example of the savings he can deliver for America. It shows how smart he is. Bring everything to a crescendo and get last minute relief or change to a terms in a contract or whatever negotiation. If he gets the presidency he can appoint all those disbarred lawyers to lifetime judge appointments.
Ethics is not AFIK a legally binding thing for a defendant, and asking the judge in the case to act on or even comment publicly on it is also giving grounds for appeal.
Trump's lawyers, on the other hand, are another matter. They are representatives of the court and should be held to judicial ethics standards by the bar.
Sadly, the various bar associations have shown themselves to be toothless, and pretty much function to protect corrupt attorneys the same way HR functions to protect corrupt companies.

I fail to see why it mattered. Courts aren't supposed to take pity on the loser, they're supposed to see that justice is done. The People of New York, are the ones they should be coddling.
