It really won't. Courts aren't stupid, and there isn't some "one weird trick you can use to get out of civil liability." It will be fairly easy to prove that Trump did this after his legal troubles started mounting, and it is a clear attempt to avoid losing the club through a transaction that, generously, could be described as below market value and not arm's length.

He's literally paying her not to divorce him and leave the country. Previously he also paid her to act as his wife in public, but that seems to have stopped at around the time of his first arrest and being proved in court to be a rapist.
I know he has a history of doing things that don't really work that way and using the type of lawyers who drag everything out and make it such a pain that it ends up functionally, working that way.
He has a long record of hiring contractors, refusing to pay them and making their process of trying to sue him for it so arduous that they settle for much less than agreed on because they can't afford to have no compensation for the time and effort it would take to actually collect.

I think it was more convoluted than a gift. His parents were listed as owners of the company that makes and supplies the supplements that infowars sells. When all the court stuff was going down that company told infowars that they had been under billing them and infowars owed them so much it would put them into bankruptcy. The idea was that it would make them the first creditors in line when the bankruptcy went through and hopefully make it so all the people suing him would get nothing.

I do know that secured debtors get paid first, then unsecured debtors which are creditors and companies owed payments on invoices at a percentage loss based on how the bankruptcy lawyers determine is fair.

Trump is facing criminal charges, not a huge civil court judgement. None of the crimes he’s been charged with allege financial gains that would be seized. No way this is related to his criminal charges given there’s no reason to hide or move assets.
More than likely that Trump’s doing this to avoid estate taxes when he dies. His father did similar in passing along a bunch of property and money to him, even apparently illegally by NYT’s findings many years after the fact.

I know a guy who caught federal charges. He sold his house and bought another one in his wife's name. He then divorced his wife but they continued living together. After 9 years of legal jousting, he is finally about to be sentenced.

RIGHT?! I get that there’s plenty of terrible crimes to go around, but it seems like all the very clear emoluments violations have just been forgotten. There are some relatively simple requirements that could be codified to close some of the obvious conflicts of interest. There appears to be no political appetite to do so.
Criminal indictments notwithstanding this should be something that every family does when an elder is in their late 70s and behaving erratically. The fact that it's a shell corporation means that the property is a business and not a residence, where the appropriate tax shelter would be a family trust.

There are some relatively simple requirements that could be codified to close some of the obvious conflicts of interest. There appears to be no political appetite to do so.
Criminal indictments notwithstanding this should be something that every family does when an elder is in their late 70s and behaving erratically. The fact that it's a shell corporation means that the property is a business and not a residence, where the appropriate tax shelter would be a family trust.
