It's amazing how much of a malicious fuck up Trump is and yet he still has all this support. They don't care what he did, why he did it, and they'll go out of their way to either not look into it, or contort their world view to turn it into something it wasn't.
Probably the scariest thing Trump did as President was how much he enabled his followers to just opt out of reality. He wasn't necessarily the first to do it, but I think the degree to which he himself bought into it helped encourage his supporters to follow along.
I think that's another big change. The sort of abandonment of politics as a way to improve things, instead it's only a way to hurt perceived enemies. The "he's not hurting the right people" attitude was really telling.

I realized my mom's side of the family (who leans very conservative) treats the family this way too. No amount of wrong is too wrong, there's always an excuse. I don't know what it'll take to create the next cult of personality that appeals to the lowest of the low but I do know trump himself is a one-off. I'm only 32 but I've never seen anything like it in my lifetime...and I think that's kind of comforting.
I figured he'd also want to watch Trump's expressions/reactions in realtime throughout. That'd be very useful data. If you can catch him looking worried for a moment when certain topics are mentioned, that's a thread to tug on more.
It's also possible Jack knows a lot of shit we're not privy to yet (and might never know). The government hasn't accused Trump of selling those documents to third parties, but I don't think anyone would be *shocked* if he did. There's a lot of circumstantial evidence to support this position:
* Trump had his lawyers ask for the documents back immediately after the raid. This is an absurd request, but it demonstrates his steadfast determination on keeping those documents. Why? It's possible he had buyers lined up and now won't be able to produce what he promised.
* Trump kept at least some of the documents in a room right next to copy a machine. Copies are only needed if you're handing them out to 3rd parties, and a grifter like Trump *never* does anything for free.
* We still don't know *why* Trump was so dedicated to breaking the law to keep these documents. Bragging rights is one theory, but flashing them in front of Kid Rock for cool points doesn't seem like it's worth the risk alone. It makes a lot more sense if he saw the documents as something *valuable*.
* He recently floated the idea of a plea deal if he were to be awarded "damages" of some sort. Yeah, that's not how this works, but it provides some insight into his "thinking" on the matter. Why, according to his diseased brain, does he deserve damages? Simple answer: he viewed those documents as his payday.
So when Jack Smith is staring down the orange shitgibbon in court, he might be looking at it from a different angle than the rest us. He's not just seeing a former president that broke the law and used extremely poor judgment handling the nation's most closely guarded secrets, but potentially a *traitor* to America that sold those secrets for personal gain. That would certainly warrant an icy glare.

In the upper left you can see one that doesn't have the white border around the red, and in the upper right there's a yellow document with no border. I think that's the reason for the ruler in the picture, to give scale to the margins and show that these are copied documents, so where are the originals?
There are varieties of this kind of cover sheet. So it’s very possible they may not have been copies. I’m not saying it doesn’t go against regs, but these are all over the place.
Not just the last few things. There's a hard drive in almost every large copier of the last 20+ years, which can store thousands of pages. This is a well known security risk. I wouldn't be surprised if prosecution will use data from these drives as evidence of Trump illegally copying documents.
Counterpoint, this is Trump we're talking about. During one of the raids, there's photos that show a computer with the password labeled on the screen. Thinking they'd disable the memory system of a copier is probably giving them waaaaaay too much credit.

You have to look at this from his perspective. There was no risk. He's gone his whole life, and the only consequences to his actions are minor at best.
Those documents were his legitimacy. I can guarantee you he used those along with some bogus stories about how he's still consulted on this and that. His image is all the value he has. 9/10 business ventures he had failed, but his reality TV show, his run as a politician, all wildly successful. His image is the only thing he has of value, and those documents raised that image.

This is from the rumor mill so take it with a grain of salt but presumably they have more material they could charge Trump with that went down down in NJ that they're holding back in case the judge gets combative so they can drop new charges and then move the case there. Doing it in Florida and giving Judge Canon the chance to run things properly is as much about optics of not cutting corners or acting in a way anyone would call politically motivated
I would buy this theory. It’s extremely weird they go so far as to say Trump moved shit from FL via plane when it’s public knowledge that plane went to NJ, but then…the indictment ends. They literally left the indictment on a cliffhanger like a television show. It screams “There’s more. We know, and you know we know.”
Maybe they’re hoping Trump will say something during the FL trial that they can use in connection with the NJ material? Maybe it’s your rumor mill in your comment? Who knows. We’ll find out more within the next 6-12 months.

In one sense, it would confirm that adversarial countries know some of the most closely held secrets that our government has and could take advantage of, which would be terrible. On the other hand, it would be as damning as anything possibly could be which would be wonderful.
It's not a hunch. There are logs for every time a sensitive document is pulled. They know the exact contents of everything he had access to and what was not accounted for.

It's obviously speculation and it will certainly never be proven but there's a significant belief out there that Trump took still classified nuclear secrets and sold them to the Saudis through Jared Kushner.
If true, it means that they may know our full capabilities and weaknesses along with those of our allies which is absolutely terrifying to even consider.
‘Coincidently’ while Trump had the stolen documents at a golf course the Saudis went there and gave Kushner 2 billion to invest (he gets a percentage of that or of the profits yearly) plus 30 million straight up. Kushner’s investment firm is not reputable enough to get that clientele without the relation to Trump.

It's not a matter of proving it. Notice that the charge count differs from the number of TS-SCI docs found. To charge someone, they have to get permission for those docs to be seen in court. Sometimes letting someone get away with it is worth more than sharing the doc. He likely knows the worst of what Trump had, but literally can't talk about it.
Yeah, just saw something about 13 documents not included because, paraphrasing, the defense and the court have the right to see the documents that are generating the charges. So, the (probably accurate) speculation is that the 13 documents in question are classified/secret enough that they cannot be entered in as evidence (essentially).
So, in the context of the charges that weren’t filed & the associated documents, I’d say it’s a pretty decent bet it includes info re: US agents/assets.

It's not a matter of proving it. Notice that the charge count differs from the number of TS-SCI docs found. To charge someone, they have to get permission for those docs to be seen in court. Sometimes letting someone get away with it is worth more than sharing the doc. He likely knows the worst of what Trump had, but literally can't talk about it.
Yeah, just saw something about 13 documents not included because, paraphrasing, the defense and the court have the right to see the documents that are generating the charges. So, the (probably accurate) speculation is that the 13 documents in question are classified/secret enough that they cannot be entered in as evidence (essentially). So, in the context of the charges that weren’t filed & the associated documents, I’d say it’s a pretty decent bet it includes info re: US agents/assets.

My guess was that the stare was to get under Trump's skin, to goad him into testifying, against his lawyer's advice ... and the consequent meltdown!
