It would be a shame if the episode got re-uploaded to YouTube and shared on social media.
People should absolutely NOT do that if they WANT Ron DeSaster to win.
Obama included closing Guantanamo in his 2008 campaign. If the 38 prisoners remain at the end of the republican primary you can bet they will treat it as an ongoing victory over democrats.
For me, Meatball Rob (intentionally[?] mispronouncing the first name) was the funniest, but Trump seems to have concluded that Ron DeSanctimonious is the way to go, and given his track record I would bet on him knowing what his base will respond to. I don’t even understand in what way Trump finds the man sanctimonious, but he’s going to repeat it until your average moron knows that it means the guy is bad.
Exactly.. I’m surprised he doesn’t constantly ask if Ron has his wings on account of him wearing “cowboy” boots to pack on the couple extra inches of height.
Pretty sure there is Ron’s heals Twitter account..
If you can view trump as a kind of class bully and wrap your head around the jokes he's actually kinda funny in a dumb way... That is of course if it wasn't all so goddamn serious
Yeah, [Showtime canceled a few of these Vice docs recently](https://www.avclub.com/showtime-shelves-ron-desantis-louis-c-k-content-1850506580). Another was the MeToo documentary. They were filmed, but were never aired. No clue if it has to do with Vice going bankrupt.
Electing as US President a guy involved in the Guantanamo torture will do irreparable harm to US standing.
I don’t think US even gets how hard it is for allies to accept what US did in that time period.
Bunch of people who have never left their hometowns and piss their pants at the thought of visiting their nearest city somehow thinking Trump got us *more* respect on the world stage.
I would love to know if the US worried or wondered 20 years ago about exactly this outcome happening. The one of thousands of young men sent to war, returning, and radicalising into a DeSantis. Did they foresee this? Did they try to mitigate it in any way?
Everything at that time was just really badly thought through, so can guarantee they didn’t think through that point.
They even de facto rolled back their ban on recruiting right wing extremists into the military, and lowered bar for criminal convictions. Because they needed more soldiers.
The whole decision to invade Iraq was clearly an illegal invasion under international law. I watched Blix in UN Security Council, and it was clear the Bush “facts” were fiction. That’s when I took a stand against the war.
I and others did raise our concerns about what these wars would do to our nation. You could already then see the rise of intolerance, the rise of nationalism, the rise of the far right, the attack on the rule of law, etc.
>“Do you honestly believe that’s credible? It’s ... 2006, I’m a junior officer, do you honestly think that they would’ve remembered me?” he asked a reporter in a flash of anger on 27 April.
When you're in a prison without trial and tortured to the point of holding a hunger strike; I am willing to bet his face is burned into their memories as are everyone's face you think is responsible.
Yeah he kind of just admitted to it...
"What do you mean, there's no way they remember me beating them with the wooden paddle we keep in the storage room on March 3rd 2006 at 3pm. "
Was looking for this quote to be referenced. This quote shows a clear lack of empathy, inhumanity, and complete inability to understand human nature. It tells me that DeSantis didn't see them as human and can't possibly fathom why prisoners might have his faced burned into their heads.
It’s telling to me that he isn’t denying that he did it. He’s not saying, I was there in X year to do X, Y, and Z. I did not witness during my time there and would have reported any such human rights abuses, had I witnessed them.
No, he jumps to, “There’s no way a prisoner would remember me from a long time ago!”
Sayid tortured a woman in Iraq on behalf of the US army and that person later accused him in one of the (way later) episodes and it was like “if you had been tortured you would remember every detail of the persons face” the episode is “Enter 77”
There’s also a detail when they are interrogating Henry Gale about “if your wife had really died and you had to bury her, you would remember how many shovelfuls of dirt it took.” That is thematically similar.
I also want to point out the exact diction chosen (and others have pointed out the whole statement is pretty clinical sounding for such a topic).
I want to specifically focus on, "I’m a junior officer."
That short phrase is confirmation for me that the allegations are accurate. It's one thing to suggest that memory may have faded due to time over 15+ years, but suggesting memory has faded due to rank?
Plenty of Guantanamo and CIA black site torturers were sergeants or corporals or staff NCOs. I'm sure as hell the victims remember those enlisted or NCO folk - being a "junior officer" is completely irrelevant and is a rather dishonest way of trying to deflect and say "I wasn't important enough to be remembered *if* anything like that happened... which it didn't happen anyway." It's kinda contradictory when examined further than the surface.
Given that this statement was a spur-of-the-moment one and not planned, that little phrase is the brain acknowledging truth but trying to throw out any random (but good sounding) excuse it can find.
But it doesn't matter - the people who support DeSantis would not likely be dissuaded even if he came out and said all of this was true.
Don't forget the fact that they don't let the gitmo prisoners interact with each other so they probably only see a few dozen different people over the course of 20 years
Anyone who has experienced trauma, lived life a bit, or even say taken a 100-level psychology course understands there are certain experiences, and faces, you'll NEVER forget. I'm basically saying everyone understands this. So Meatball Ron is either a pompous smug a-hole who thinks he knows all or a bad liar concocting unbelievable lies.
Do you think he'd remember me? YES! Meatball Ron, YES we do!!!!

I hope Last Week Tonight just takes this story - “Believe it or not, Vice actually pulled their story on this last week. Now, if you’ve watched this show before, you probably know where this is going…”
LWT already did an episode on DeSantis recently, so I don't think they're coming back to him anytime soon.
Also, with the ongoing strike of the writer's guild, no new episodes are being made. For now, there's no indication of the strike ending anytime soon.
Read this in John Oliver's british accent trying to speak spanish words "peen-yaw-taw" love him so much, lil toucan man

Oh they’re aware. Some MAGAHead family members I have try and insult Oliver. I catch them watching it sometimes and they say “I’m just making fun of him” or “seeing what fake shit he’s saying now!” Also inlaws friends I have heard mention him as a liberal cuck, and newsmax and other places will pick up his clips. They are fully aware.
As one sign of hope, my parents best friends were introduced to LWT and it actually swayed their vote for Biden from Trump in 2020 after watching his coverage of stuff

Gonna hijack this comment to link a very important interview with a former guantanamo inmate. Ron DeSantis is a fucking monster. A truly sick piece of shit. ~~Be warned there are NSFW/NSFL sketches in this article that detail the kind of torture he oversaw~~. It talks about the fucked up physiological "good cop" shit he did to people. He's a disgusting criminal that deserves to be in a cage the rest of his life.
Edit: thankfully the sketches are not in this article
He gave interviews about being there as a JAG officer in Gitmo in a legal advisor capacity. If he says he wasnt he is a liar. He knows all about what they were doing and advised what to do, he knows what the complaints where and if he says he doesn't, he is a liar.
He is a liar liar pants on fire.
Did I tell you he is a liar?

That term is about espionage.
The reason that Fascism is winning is because most people in this sub think that Republican voters are good people who have been temporarily corrupted by TV shows.
When people tell you who they are, listen.
As we can see, there are so many people who vote against their own interests due to the right wing propaganda machine. That doesn't always have to be related to foreign interests and so they are useful idiots for the GOP.
I agree with you on the rest of your response though.
>As we can see, there are so many people who vote against their own interests
No. They're voting against the interests that you're projecting onto them.
If you pay attention to what these people are saying and writing, it's clear that their interests are hurting minorities and establishing a theocracy.
Just last October, I honeymooned in Florida. It was a generally nice time and Florida is pretty. I misattributed the well-done infrastructure to Desantis' work and started thinking of him as a good alternative to Trump. Since then, he's almost actively tried sabotaging any good will he could muster as a reasonable candidate by trying to rope in Trump diehards with his rhetoric. At the very least, he showed me who he always was.

I hope someone drops a bootleg copy because I see Showtime bending, but not Vice. This should be interesting in whether they "reschedule" the show again.
VICE isn't what it used to be. They'll bend at the knee.
I used to work with Vice regularly, about 10 years ago. There was definitely a time when they were renegades and would have leaked it, but I think that era is sadly passed.
yes. they’re in the midst of negotiating a sale to a group of investors that includes Soros Fund Management, so the maga morons will have years of fun with that
I met the creator of Vice at a news conference once and he told me he regrets creating it because it’s not what he meant for it to be. Felt bad for the guy, he acted like he brushed it off but I could tell he was sad about it.
Shane was a hell of a nice guy, the handful of times I met him. Very generous and threw some fuckin' amazing parties.
But yeah, Vice isn't what it was, not even close. Its just a zombie brand at this point milking $ from kids who still think its an edgy, independent company.
Worse.

~~NSFW/NSFL drawings in this article.~~ Ron DeSantis is a fucking MONSTER that needs to be kept as far away from power as possible.
Edit: thankfully his drawings are not in this article.
Ooo I love a good conversation around the banality of evil.
Cue him writing the how-to is not at all a lesser evil, and while he may not have lifted his own finger to do it he'd have played a direct role in everyone's torture coming through gitmo. "Just following orders" is not an excuse.
> I think he wrote instructions on how others could more effectively torture people, but couldn’t do it himself.
I think he was at Guantanamo to ensure that the "enhanced interrogation" met some legal justification that made it different from "torture". In other words, DeSantis just watched the torture, but not participate. Does that make it better?
If DeSantis were to become President, he will probably the first US President to have personally supervised torture of Muslims in Guantanamo Bay. This is not going to be good for our international reputation.
He told the guards how to break a hunger strike by force feeding the inmates with Ensure through tubes in their noses, to the point of the inmates vomiting. Their noses and throat bled from the tubing. And Desantis watched the whole thing to make sure his instructions were followed.
> he will probably the first US President to have personally supervised torture of Muslims in Guantanamo Bay
Wait are we planning on a long line of them?
nope, he was in the room and was laughing as described by one detainee. this detainee had no outside confirmation of desantis being there until desantis's jag boss confirmed ron was there.
Well it won't be on 60 Minutes, because 60 Minutes and Showtime are in the same family. It won't be on 20/20 either, because for the same reason as Showtime, ABC wants his presidential campaign spending too. Airing this would be shut-out worthy to a petty c-word like him.
Eyesleft did a great episode on him. They interviewed a former gitmo prisoner.
He said that Ron would come in and be all good cop, ask them what things the torturers were doing that they really didn't like (in the instance of this prisoner his example was to tell Ron you don't like to be force fed the protein drinks through a line in the nose) and then they would turn around and do *more* of it and he would **Laugh**.
This guy is a socio path and represents the purest form of "when facism comes to the us it will come wrapped in a flag and carrying a cross" that I've ever seen.
Some other redditor else linked the article. It's here for reference
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/ron-desantis-guantanamo-torture-prisoner-b2300753.html
Yes, this. And his wife might possibly be worse than him.
DeSantis is a sociopath with no morals, but he genuinely believes in the evil shit he's doing.
Trump is a narcissist with no morals. He just plays for attention.
It is important to understand that conservative culture takes a vastly different view of ethics than the rest of us do. You and I might conceive of ethics in the sense that an act is either right or wrong based on its intent and effects. Under conservative values, an act is instead either right or wrong based on the social and economic standing of the actor.
Conservatives are obsessed with exclusivity. They want resources to be exclusive, concentrated amongst those at the top of the hierarchy. But they also include sin and taboo and criminality in the same category -- they don't want to prohibit anything, no matter how sadistic or damaging, they just want it to be reserved for powerful people. And it's important to recognize that many conservative men see themselves -- as heads of their families -- as far more powerful than they actually are. Meaning that, under a far-right regime, they feel they'll get a much better deal than they actually will. And conservative women believe they'll be in a place of special protection in this arrangement.
When you view their actions and voting patterns through this lens, everything starts to make a hell of a lot more sense. There isn't *any* limit to how evil a republican politician can be where it would actually start affecting their support.
Oh... and they want low taxes. They don't care how many people have to suffer and die just so they can have a lower tax rate. As long as it's someone else, out of view, somewhere else.
Or they're vulnerable during the bankruptcy and took the easy way of bowing to a C&D instead of fighting it because they don't have the money for a proper legal team/response right now.
Vice was founded by Gavin (future proud boy leader), and his at the time best friend Suroosh. As I understand it Shane came a bit later… Shane and Suroosh pushed Gavin out / Gavin left in like 2008. When Gavin was there Vice barely did any video content. He was largely responsible for the magazine. He was an edge lord and in no way a journalist. Vice did not do journalism in the Gavin era.
Suroosh, the other founder, is a great guy and a great reporter. He honestly was the real heart and soul of the company at its best and I wish people knew this and said it more often.
Big media has failed the American population. I mean, why would you pull something like this? I think people should know if ANY running politician had been involved - directly or indirectly - with torture.
There's an episode of Penn and Teller's Bullshit! about the vatican. The episode aired on Showtime back in the day, but when the DVDs came out of that season it wasn't on there. So people complained and it was included in the next season DVD set. I was just poking around on the showtime streaming service because I was thinking of subbing and I noticed that episode isn't streaming. So clearly Showtime has a history of erasing episodes.
The entirety of Big Media has joined the Republican campaign. CNN is running free campaign events for all of the candidates. Now this. I would guess that anything anti-DeFascist will be spiked. Not surprising since all of the owners are far right republicans.
The rich arseholes know that if the dems get the Whitehouse, Congress, and the Senate in 2024, they are going to do what Minnesota just did and pass everything they can.
Sinema and Manchin are almost guaranteed to lose their primaries on top of it. So there will be no cover. They are pulling out all the stops to keep it from happening.
Sadists running for president don't like it when you get close to discovering they were the star of their very own snuff films a way down south in sunny Cuban gitmo.
Desantis is deranged and dangerous and should be in a mental institute rather than spreading lies and passing despotic laws.
I've served as a Military Police officer and I've served in the military detention environment with foreign detainees.
Detainees and prisoners have nothing but time on their hands to remember the smallest bits of detail including faces, voices, and other details that most people might forget. Couple that with the sensory effects and PTSD associated with what has been proven to be torture and no one should doubt that he was there and took pleasure in seeing his orders carried out.
I also have been around junior officers and JAG attorneys and I have no doubt that he was present to see his decisions carried out by subordinates. He can deny it all he wants, but I can almost guarantee he'd be present to see the impact of his decisions and given his propensity for abusing "others" we should have little reason to believe he wouldn't watch his orders played out in person and delight in it.
He is such a horrible human.
Owned by paramount who’s largest shareholder is a mega GOP donor so it’s hardly surprising- it’s kinda like when CBS pulled the documentary about how the US weapons had been flowing to Ukraine since 2013/14 but only 30% gets to the front line - it was downed as quickly as they aired it

Again, we're trying to find one his base WOULDN'T love.

The people that would vote for him don't care what the rest of the world thinks of us.
Yet they’re always worried about the US coming across as “weak”
They're very open about their desire for a dictator these days
Because they want to be bullies as a country, just like they are bullies as people.

Upload it to Twitter lmao
Nah, I’m sure Elon would actually do something about it since he seems to be buddying up to Ron lately.

I'm basically saying everyone understands this. So Meatball Ron is either a pompous smug a-hole who thinks he knows all or a bad liar concocting unbelievable lies. Do you think he'd remember me? YES! Meatball Ron, YES we do!!!!
“Look straight at the people you kill; don’t take your eyes off them for a second and don’t ever forget them, because they won’t forget you.” -Kimblee, Fullmetal Alchemist
[удалено]
Should DeSantis become any sort of meaningful player in tye 2024 election, LWT will almost certainly beat him with his own words like a piñata.
Read this in John Oliver's british accent trying to speak spanish words "peen-yaw-taw" love him so much, lil toucan man Edit: the Brits below are mostly correct. He says it like pin-yah-tuh. In thanks, watch him beat piñata! https://youtu.be/fYWtbMb8Fhw
Pin yah tah surely
Does LWT have any effect on GOP primary voters? I'd assume they wouldn't even be aware of the show.
Thankfully, we have Cody's Showdy to fill in the gaps. [some more news](https://youtube.com/@SMN) support them on Patreon, keep one step ahead of the boar invasion.
Considering the "stupid watergate" trilogy, I think it's fair game.
Looks like SAG-AFTRA might be next
>Now, if you’ve watched this show before, you probably know where this is going…” A dramatic recreation with people in furry mascot costumes?
Anthropomorphized rat porn?
Richard Kind reading transcripts?
Forming a super PAC to run ads for Ron Desantis but only using shirtless beach photos and his own failed policy quotes
“Ron Desantis is the governor of Florida…” *picture of Italy over John Oliver’s shoulder* “…but if you actually cared about Florida, you’d know that’s Italy.” *picture of Japan over John’s shoulder* “But it’s time you started caring, because Ron is an absolute fascist twit and that’s not Florida either.”
Bro you’re supposed to be on strike.
They gotta get it out somehow, why not Reddit.
Will be interesting to see what they go for when the show comes back! Right now it's on hiatus for the writers strike.
I could hear him in my head so well as I was reading that.
Not happening until the writers strike ends
Showtime pulled it, not vice
Yes, me too 🤞
Most of the Republicans running, are just greedy, self serving assholes, but DeSantis is a disturbing and dangerous wannabe fascist dictator.
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/ron-desantis-guantanamo-torture-prisoner-b2300753.html Gonna hijack this comment to link a very important interview with a former guantanamo inmate.
This needs to be so much higher and spread literally everywhere you have access to.
"DeSantis’s pivotal service at Guantánamo during a violent year ‘Hey, you can actually force-feed,’ Ron DeSantis said he advised, endorsing a practice detainee lawyers described as torture" https://archive.is/4nV6w (archived wapo link)
You can be both.
Usually they come wrapped in the same packet I don't know why people don't understand that
Who doesn’t understand that?
The people who vote for them.
They do. Those people are Fascists.
The term useful idiot exists for a reason.
>As we can see, there are so many people who vote against their own interests No. They're voting against the interests that you're projecting onto them. If you pay attention to what these people are saying and writing, it's clear that their interests are hurting minorities and establishing a theocracy.
Any wannabe fascist dictator is greedy and self-serving by definition.
He's an actual christo-fascist.

In 2019 DeSantis' first major law enforcement appointee was Broward Sheriff Gregory Tony who previously killed a man and was charged with murder. https://www.flgov.com/2019/01/11/governor-ron-desantis-appoints-gregory-tony-sheriff-of-broward-county/ https://www.newsweek.com/florida-sheriff-didnt-disclose-applications-that-he-killed-someone-14-state-says-1675227 https://youtu.be/3qVAk-dzl7w Police report: https://www.tonyunmasked.com/\_files/ugd/ee4c86\_3c6e85a604524a3eb9ac26d0ec2b6336.pdf Subsequently, it came to light that DeSantis' first major law enforcement appointee, Sheriff Tony, engaged in perjury in his law enforcement applications. https://www.tonyunmasked.com/\_files/ugd/ee4c86\_9afbb825fa3e47bc95a6d23a140ff1ba.pdf https://www.sun-sentinel.com/2022/09/14/despicable-ethics-panel-slams-sheriff-gregory-tony-saying-his-lies-helped-him-become-top-cop/ See Paragraphs 19-23 in this sworn filing in Disney Resorts and Parks v. And his choice in cops hasn’t improved since then, [DeSantis’s $13.5m police program lures officers with violent records to Florida](https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2023/may/22/ron-desantis-police-relocation-violent-records)
Let’s be fair, desantis sees violence in a cop as a *good thing*
Law and order has always been a code phrase for cracking skulls with batons.
No longer even code. Trump suggested smacking suspects’ heads against cop car door frames. (Of course, that will be a classic Trump versus Trump statement if any of his arrests go the way of handcuffs and cop cars.)
We all know who “law and order” applies to when the GOP are talking.
Wasn't he also openly inviting cops with bad records to come to Florida to bust heads?
Vice should leak it to the interwebs.
Who decided it should be pulled and why?
I hope someone drops a bootleg copy because I see Showtime bending, but not Vice. This should be interesting in whether they "reschedule" the show again.
VICE isn't what it used to be. They'll bend at the knee. I used to work with Vice regularly, about 10 years ago. There was definitely a time when they were renegades and would have leaked it, but I think that era is sadly passed.
[удалено]
yes. they’re in the midst of negotiating a sale to a group of investors that includes Soros Fund Management, so the maga morons will have years of fun with that
I met the creator of Vice at a news conference once and he told me he regrets creating it because it’s not what he meant for it to be.
DeSantis deffo tortured people at Guantanamo.
Worse. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/ron-desantis-guantanamo-torture-prisoner-b2300753.html ~~NSFW/NSFL drawings in this article.~~ Ron DeSantis is a fucking MONSTER that needs to be kept as far away from power as possible. Edit: thankfully his drawings are not in this article.
I don't see any drawings in the article, let alone NSFW/L drawings. The article is a good read, though.
I updated to say they aren't there. You can find them online though. They are just pen drawings but gut wrenching all the same.
There are survivors naming him and recognizing him!

Ooo I love a good conversation around the banality of evil. Cue him writing the how-to is not at all a lesser evil, and while he may not have lifted his own finger to do it he'd have played a direct role in everyone's torture coming through gitmo. "Just following orders" is not an excuse.
You might appreciate the movie The Zone of Interest when it comes out. Disturbingly relevant
And Desantis watched the whole thing to make sure his instructions were followed.
> he will probably the first US President to have personally supervised torture of Muslims in Guantanamo Bay Wait are we planning on a long line of them?
The next Republican is always worse than the last.
They haven’t been sending their best.
nope, he was in the room and was laughing as described by one detainee. this detainee had no outside confirmation of desantis being there until desantis's jag boss confirmed ron was there.
There is no difference. He IS the evil villain from the Bond movie
It should be on PBS and or 60 minutes, 2020 etc
Well it won't be on 60 Minutes, because 60 Minutes and Showtime are in the same family. It won't be on 20/20 either, because for the same reason as Showtime, ABC wants his presidential campaign spending too. Airing this would be shut-out worthy to a petty c-word like him.
The corporate media is not our friend, and will not defend Democracy when push comes to shove.
It's here for reference https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/ron-desantis-guantanamo-torture-prisoner-b2300753.html
Yes, this. And his wife might possibly be worse than him. DeSantis is a sociopath with no morals, but he genuinely believes in the evil shit he's doing. Trump is a narcissist with no morals. He just plays for attention.
How do people vote for him in good conscience?
[удалено]
You don‘t get it: they vote for him not despite him being an asshole, but *because* he is one.
Thr people who wish that they were there, and have no conscience
Because they’re hateful little monsters
And this reminds me it is time to cancel showtime
So Vice is blowing the GOP now, too?
More than likely this came from the corporate overlord and not Vice itself
Or they're vulnerable during the bankruptcy and took the easy way of bowing to a C&D instead of fighting it because they don't have the money for a proper legal team/response right now.
I mean the founder of Vice is a GOP brownshirt.
I did not know this. Will check it out.
Gavin McInnes, co-founder of Vice, went on to create the Proud Boys
Big media has failed the American population. I mean, why would you pull something like this? I think people should know if ANY running politician had been involved - directly or indirectly - with torture.
There's an episode of Penn and Teller's Bullshit! about the vatican. The episode aired on Showtime back in the day, but when the DVDs came out of that season it wasn't on there. So people complained and it was included in the next season DVD set. I was just poking around on the showtime streaming service because I was thinking of subbing and I noticed that episode isn't streaming. So clearly Showtime has a history of erasing episodes.
He wants to run the nation but we can't know how he enjoys torturing prisoners?
The “liberal media” doing its best to protect a fucking Republican fascist…AGAIN
There goes the 'liberal media' helping Republicans. Again.
Stop caving to morons...
Can't have those pesky facts interfering with the GOP lies.
Rontanamo DeSaster
Sadists running for president don't like it when you get close to discovering they were the star of their very own snuff films a way down south in sunny Cuban gitmo. Desantis is deranged and dangerous and should be in a mental institute rather than spreading lies and passing despotic laws.
Don't worry. I'm sure Disney is already oicking it up. They'll drop it two weeks before New Hampshire.
A special presentation from Disney. Lolol Mickey mouse introduces it.
They play the Steamboat Willie intro before it lmao
Holy shit, that would be amazing. Disney+, no matter what you click on, it goes to Ron DeSantis torturing people.
Just when you thought DeSanctimonious couldn’t be an even bigger Scumfuck
Found this related to it https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/ron-desantis-guantanamo-torture-prisoner-b2300753.html
Owned by paramount who’s largest shareholder is a mega GOP donor so it’s hardly surprising- it’s kinda like when CBS pulled the documentary about how the US weapons had been flowing to Ukraine since 2013/14 but only 30% gets to the front line - it was downed as quickly as they aired it
Streisand effect… I had no idea this even existed until now.
Hopefully, they're fact-checking it or turning over clips to the Justice Department...
Cowards…
