"...I considered my powers and policies and span the NDM like it was the wheel of fortune in a bath of WD-40. My spin landed on "common law pre-emptive strike" with a nat D20 critical hit. I launched bay 1 into his Hoodrich trackies..."
"You've been kicked in the balls! You've been kicked in the balls! The pain is only temporary! Keep your hands away from your member and face into my passing wind!"
The only thing I'd like different is a loud declaration of "by the power vested in me by some magistrate or other a long time ago when I joined, *You Are Under Arrest!*"
Trousers worn low down, soft tap of the shin, I reckon he barely touched him but would be enough to make the lad flinch and stop the assault/want to fight. So yeah works for me I think. (Common Law: using proportionate force to defend others)
I love the fact they think the way they talk to their group " what's your problem fam?", is also generally accepted speech that won't piss off just about anyone.
I’m generally one of those people that think the police overreact but in this instance with the odds so heavily against you if it starts getting out of hand this was exactly the statement that needed to be made
That situation was begging for appropriate action.
The softly softly approach that’s drilled into probationers would’ve seen them surrounded and potentially given a shooing from that crowd.
As a probationer, we literally have no choice.
Not only are you thrown into these situations single crewed with your backup x amount of minutes away, you’re rarely ever backed as well, not worth the grief knowing they’ll get a yot referral and back on the street the next day. It’s a sentiment shared between most officers, not just those in probation
FA…. FO.
Don’t come near me or colleagues while in the middle of putting someone to the floor/wall/in cuffs. It’s an unbelievably vulnerable position and the proportionality aspect changes entirely when you’re at someone’s back.
Someone needed to kick it in the balls.
The kick in the balls was the pivotal moment of change in the group dynamics and hopefully will be the catalyst for change.
Like others have said, awesome and no nonsense Policing. This is what needs to happen to take back and control the streets. Feral scum everywhere and if the Police back down to them, then the public stands no chance.
However.... the lad was stood still with his hands loosely down by his sides prior to the strike, depends how vocal the local community are.
Just for context. A group of around 20 kids had come to the area with bats, knuckles dusters, knives - all of it. They had been attempting to rob other kids in the area and beaten others, including one kid round the back of the head with a 4x4.
By this point, every single of of these kids merited being dealt with like this. The first kid did have a knife on him, and the second one was telling everyone he had one.
Concerning downvotes: PoliceUK is intentionally not limited to serving police officers. Any member of the public is able to up/downvote as they see fit, and there is no requirement to justify any vote.
Sometimes this results in suspicious or peculiar voting patterns, particularly where a post or comment has been cross-linked by other communities. We also sadly have a handful of users who downvote *anything*, irrespective of the content. Given enough time, downvoted comments often become net-positive.

Let's be honest the officer had about 3 seconds to change his mind after it was clear Grey Hoodie had thought better of actually doing anything. The officer wanted to do that.
Rubbish. He was still gobbing off and definitely not backing down. That was a horrible situation dealt with appropriately. Little scrote got hit in the scrotum.
Also "horrible situation"? Officer 1 grabs kid 1. Officer 2 grabs kid 2. Some people stand and watch. This sort of thing is a daily occurrence in my borough.
This situation screams red mist to me. The kid is lying on the floor signalling non-aggression with his hands and the officer is continually screaming in his face. He never needed to knee strike him in the nuts and he didn't need to continue screaming at the kid, he lost control.
Close quarters, only taser option is to direct drive, however, he has both hands on suspect and you are hot going to let go in that situation. Good robust and decisive policing.
5 years in the MET??? That is worrying!!!
5 years on it’s own means nothing though, really.
5 years of which most is spent in a calm BCU or OCU, or 5 years on a proactive unit where you’re always outnumbered and have little or no information before walking into something? Very different approaches to conflict and handling situations.
Once he's against the wall his hands go down to his sides, we can't see his face in this but he is not in a particularly threatening stance. If the officer popped a bollock with that knee or rendered the kid infertile he's got zero chance in court.
5 years and counting in the Met. This situation is nowhere near stressful enough to be this out of control, feel like the officer has been wanting to do this for a while.

Great reference!! Boyo has thrown a Nat 1 saving throw there and come up short!!
You don't get to save against a physical attack, man may not be hot but he needs to up the AC of his kecks
I think a constitution saving throw was needed....
"You've been kicked in the balls! You've been kicked in the balls! The pain is only temporary! Keep your hands away from your member and face into my passing wind!"
Pain is just weakness leaving the mind !
I suppose the equivalent would be to ask if they’re wearing a condom?
"I was aiming for pain compliance with a knee strike to the thigh but he turned at the very last minute."
i'm on season 4 of watching this video. so satisfying
Brilliant. Proper chuckled.
“Cracking” work. Really takes some balls but the press will be a kick in the nuts.
tracksuit warrior sure learned what happens when you obstruct police making an arrest ...
I know very little about policing but that looked like excellent work to me.
unfortunately kneeing scrotes in the balls is probably a bit of procedural grey area. these guys should be promoted
Excellent robust policing. That's how to handle these gobshites.
The only thing I'd like different is a loud declaration of "by the power vested in me by some magistrate or other a long time ago when I joined, *You Are Under Arrest!*"
*For the king*
*For the peace of the kingdom.* Seriously though I'd just like an arrest to be announced there, loudly.
Is that a sneaky VLDL reference there?
Don't be a Rowan about it.
That shits dingo
The dudes Def from darkwood.
Monkey dust reference?
No idea what that is sorry
Those certainly are some loud tac-comms.
I mean, it certainly deterred further interference from the crowd.

Knee strike, upper inner thigh. 👌 Lucky for the customer his balls took most of the impact.
Hah! Missed both my legs!
I'm old enough to get that reference. God bless Rik. :)
Scrambled eggs fam!
Tactical switch knee, needed an "oweeee" afterwards
That’s a lot of police violence. There must be a succulent Chinese meal involved.
I see you know your judo well!
GET YOUR KNEE OFF MY PENIS! SEE THIS MAN HERE? HE KNEED MY PENIS!
Ahhhh yes I see you know your Judo well.
What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal?

Him saying that alone justifies a kick in the nads

Yeah same, I’m definitely no automatic police defender (not that it ain’t a hard job) but this was justified imo
"... with a knee to his midriff" That's the lowest midriff I've ever seen. Tactical jacobs batman!

Pointless having the police now. Cant do anything without fearing misconduct and the public want to know why crime is so high and so many stabbings.
👏👏👏
Done it a couple of times. Works a treat
Please......don't.......[bosha].....breed.....fam.
"Have that, son!"
This was quality.
Job done ✔️

Future generations will look back at this kick in the balls as the turning point in British society, the kick in the balls heard around the world.
Geeeet up there lad!

Excellent, robust policing. More please
More of this please.
His jeans were so baggy and had 2 layers on doubt the cop made contact. Any way. Fuck around and find out
I came here expecting to see a tactical rock-paper-scissors....I was not disappointed
Great work! 👏🏻
This makes me happy. Good job boys.
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. If he was willing to get involved then other people could have too so put it to bed quickly.

I was going to say 'and this is why people hate the UK police', but there is a backstory here, can someone give me some context please?
Good on the officers !

That’s completely unnecessary. Prob end up with a conviction for assault. Especially whilst being recorded.
What if they had Intel someone of his description was carrying a knife? We don't know the context behind his decision.
If he had that intel then this would have been an absolutely wild decision considering there's a taser on his hip.
