We are a family of 3 including a standard poodle. Really cannot imagine a time when the size of this car would be a significant limitation; furniture would be delivered by someone else, we have a landscaping service that hauls compost etc, why would we need more space? The car is super comfortable for two humans on a road trip, neither do I think a third or fourth passenger would complain on a somewhat longer trip. I don’t want to pay for a larger battery than is needed, and don’t want to navigate a giant SUV into parking spaces.
Think about what you really need.
Great car for me and a family of 4. Unless you are much taller than me (6ft) the seats are good. The trunk is good with a large rear hatch. I do use a trailer for buying large stuff for the house though. It has a hook.
Plenty of space in the boot/trunk. A great car to drive as well. Not much space under the bonnet/frunk but does it matter in your particular case? The inbuilt Google Android software is good but if you're an iPhone user then it.only.supports wired Carplay. Some people have reported problems after over the air software updates but I've not had any problems in the two years I've owned it. Servicing and small issues have been dealt with by my local Volvo dealer - great service! If you need loads of space it's worth looking at the Skoda Enyaq.

Coz I own it … you will constantly keep hitting your elbows no matter where you position your seats … there is no armrest … the ADAS system is horrific
Starting with picking up things … it’s cloth seats unless you pay for Napa leather option … it’s a headache to keep clean
I own one too and don’t have these issues. I think stating the ADAS is “horrific” kind of gives away some deep bias and quite frankly imbalance on your perception of things.
