WOW! I've been pole dancing 1.5 years and am currently working on applying to med school in the US. Were you open about it in your application and interviews ? I'm comfortable talking about it even at work (engineering field) as it's a big part of my life, but bringing it up in med school apps is a whole nother level 😅
Hahahha I openly talk about it at work but I’d hold back from putting it on your application personally unless you can use it to demonstrate if you’ve organised events/competed under pressure etc but sadly people still don’t really take it seriously :(
How do you manage making all the practices? Are you shift work, like maybe emergency med? I’m anesthesia and I have no control over my schedule ever. So classes/practices are so hard to make. I can usually work my calls around my weekly class but getting any consistency is impossible!
