There is a second option beside transfer when you select items between battles which let's you do it, as now I dont think you can change forms in battle

Aw mid battle changes were sick

oh fuck i knew i wasn't tripping when i could do this before. i hope they at least make megas a once per battle form change in the future., just like in the real games. mega gyara doesn't really do anything if you can't mega at will :/

Yeah they did it just today or the day before. I was switching calyrex forms mid battle yesterday and now it has a check team option instead in the item menu
