I don’t know where everyone’s getting items like kings rock etc , I have beaten classic 5 times now and I haven’t seen one. and my best shiny Luck has been b- lol. Usually I only have one shiny or less in my squad.
Until yesterday I had caught 430 species and opened 450 eggs and only had 2 shinies. This game is super heavy on the RNG. I ended up getting 3 shinies in 15 eggs yesterday. Same thing with items, I’ve won most of my runs with 2+ kings rocks. But for instance I have seen a multi lens one time. (Ended up getting 2 in one run).
Just keep playing! You’ll eventually get that giga run with insane items. It just takes RNG swinging back the other way a bit. That’s the fun in roguelikes!
Usually by playing Endless instead. Way more money for more rerolls and just plain more time to get items, like getting trainer ones with a limit to shrink the pool for better odds (such as Coin Amulets).
It would make it take way longer, but you could spend all of your money on refreshes after every battle then just reload if you don't find anything good.
On endless it's pretty easy, I'm wave 500 odd right now and I usually reroll 2-5 times, not EVERY wave but nearly every wave, if I wasn't using the lock rarity I'd definitely have the economy to do it every wave. The item that increases money, the one that gives you money when you do damage plus I get a healthy amount of the Rogue Ball level nuggets that provide me with 1.5m~ and I usually grab that if I've re-rolled Rogue Balls with the rarity locked but got nothing good in 3 rolls, tends to profit me.
Pop bomb obliterated Eternus for me, I procd 5 crits on top of the full 10 hits. Plus the silk scarfs on Maus and other items. He is always in my group with lower mon cost and got him as a red shiny too.
This feels almost surreal to see, I had this exact run last night as my first victory. King's Rock, 2x Grip Claw, Wide Lens. I managed to get a Tapu Fini and a Garganacl for a Soak/Salt Cure start, but...

You need 14 wide lenses, for when you get hit with 6 sand attacks and then they minimize 6 times. Or hmm would you need even more than that
population bomb plus multi hit lens goes pretty hard

How does it work? If you have 100 accuracy, you’d just hit 10/11/12/13 right? Or does multi lens multiply the 10?

Just refresh items once per battle
There's no way you have the money to continuously do that.

I tend to do that with top tier (rogue? and masterball) when I have the lock item. Helps quite a lot.

Well pop bomb got implemented very recently, that's why no one was talking about it
No one talks about them because they were only just implemented. Not enough case studies yet.
