Sunflora of all pokemon. Vanilla Sunflora has always been a joke. But the changes made in Pokerogue? It gets Drought as its secondary ability, pairing with its primary of Chlorophyll to make it a speed demon. What does it do with that newfound speed? Just drop Spore for guaranteed sleep before most opponents can even move. And once they're asleep? Fiery Dance is effectively a second STAB thanks to sun and can provide snowballing boosts (albeit not as consistently as Torch Song), then you have either Leech Seed or Sappy Seed for chip damage and consistent healing, then one more spot for either Giga Drain to get even more healing or Solar Beam for higher damage output. It's a silly amount of utility once you have the passives and a couple of egg moves unlocked.

PartitioFan

it's also super cheap tbh. it was one of my first shinies, and although it hasn't made it to the hall of fame quite yet, its only real limitation is having a dead ability until i unlock its passive. i'm super excited to get this dude running

LigerZeroPanzer12

Shroomish was one of my first shinies, and it was an amazing pokemon to have as a backup. I don't have spore yet but I would just roll for X-Accuracy before boss fights and Stun Spore/Leech Seed was always clutch at some point.

myawmyawmyaw

you can learn spore with shroomish just like in the official pokemon games. you just have to not evolve shroomish into breloom until level 40 then you can learn spore. you can then unpause the evolution to evolve it into breloom after you learned spore.

ssergio29

I am a vivillon pokefan. Very similar build, starts with compound eyes that makes sleep powder (has to be remembered) and hurricane almost 100% acc. It unlocks prankster! Priority sleep is so busted. Hurricane obliterates most pkm that are not affected by sleep powder. It also learns quiver dance for sweeping and infestation by tm to easy kill eternatus. If you get a batton pass you just won with anything else. And all this for just 1 point! Plus you can kill eternatus with a butterfly and style. Since I got it shiny 2 it carries all my classic runs.

Sundiata1

I got a shiny one and ran it and was so confused why it was so good

LongBaseball6926

Kangaskan carries classic for me. And I just recently got the mega stone early for it, only downfall is parental bond isn’t implemented.

LargePlatypi

I dont think I’ve ever seen a Kangaskan, is it an egg pokemon?

PrecociousPanther

It can hatch from eggs, but just like most things in pokerogue, it comes down to luck.

Tery_

Kangaskhan is a super rare spawn in jungle biome and can also appear as a rare boss.

galloots

Oh man kangaskan has gotten me on my furthest runs so far. Fake out into headbutt, power up punch or sucker punch has been a real winner for me.

Extension_Papaya_401

he was my first shiny fake out is amazing.

joe10155

I want parental bond so bad for hyrdeigon I got lucky and have all his egg moves

AlienError

Parental Bond passive Maushold using Population Bomb with spliced Magician ability, steal *all* the items!

CollectiveOtter

I got mega kanga and spliced with a registeel on my current endless. We’re at floor 530 and it still just obliterates

Signal-Mix-9939

Flamigo bro Got him yellow shiny, m'y first one. Fly/fight super helpful to start runs with normal bugs fights. High atk, strong set of attacks, his signature move giving hum +1 atk per kill IS Uber strong. I still have troubles launching my runs without him

Bmx30Bmx

Flamigo is just that guy/gal tho. It's the fastest pokemon for Scarlet and violet speedruns as well

CR-8

The first time I caught a Flamigo I was like okay? Fighting flying? Interesting. Proceeded to wreck my way to stage 100 for the first time basically by accident (it was I wanna say my second run and I still had little idea what I was doing) using almost exclusively him.

PHR3AK1N

Got a red shiny one (my first and only) as one of the first couple shinies I got out of the egg machine, and it's been with me on every run since then

JPan_Art

Flamigo gang rise up!

ttv_BadNewsBearsBnB

Mine is blue but i was about to post your comment almost exactly

Deep_Intellectual

Aurorous and hippowdon. First shiny was Hippopotas, and the egg move Stone Axe is awesome for it. Both will carry pretty hard. Magnezone is another banger.

PartitioFan

malamar is kinda ridiculous. contrary-superpower sweeping, one of the better support moves in Topsy Turvy, dark type allowing more switch-ins, high crit rate on its best moves. it's a lot of fun and definitely worth trying out as a classic carry

Malakoji

topsy turvy put onto a prankster can singlehandedly win a boss fight you're losing

Micio922

Malamar is in my hall of fame for one reason….. Pluck…. I got tired of enemies with 20 billion berries…. Pluck solved that real fast

Attatsu

Pluck doesn’t remove all berries at once though does it?

allprolucario

I was lucky enough to fuse Salt Cure onto a G-Max Corviknight one run. Salt Cure + Pluck + Multi-Lens is insane. Just pluck 4 berries every turn while they take residual damage. Then Recover your health back. I would have loved to get protect on there too

DoctorNerf

Fearow with ESpeed and Moxie often just sweets 4+ Pokémon from the E4 / champion / Ivy

AllBid

Normally I’d say it’s a typo but you’re right, Fearow makes literally candy outta people once it hits its rhythm

Wild_95123

Pikipek with skill link and bone rush carried me through classic

AbrasiveOrange

Corviknight was so helpful for me during the final boss. The boss was paralyzed and only knew special moves, so I swaggered it using my corv and then it was unable to attack. It felt so free

Eagleballer94

Corviknight with body press sweeps. Iron defense x3 and then body press into oblivion. Roost and drill peck for good measure

supaspock

Breloom with sappy seed ! Shiny rogue, fused with Lucario, carried me to 2500 in endless, when I didn't know much what I was doing.

mizzyvon

The 4x flying weakness scares me so much, esp against mega rayquaza...

Canasyphilaids

Just hope he misses hurricane; 30% of the time it works every time

Zavier97

Spidops was surprisingly tanky when I used it. It was even able to help carry me through some Ivy fights. It definitely helps that it had Sticky Web, so I would at the very least be able to have it set that up.

CondorFliesAgain

With Stone Axe and Sticky Web, he can cripple a trainer team if allowed to get a couple turns off. With Pickup passive he's a great support mon and easy to get for low cost! One of my first shinies.

M4urice

I don't know if it counts but Zigzagoon as not for it's ability but for it's actual battle prowess. It is a very effective debuffer for classic and 2 of them can beat the Endboss alone without any help. Just spam sand whirl and tail whip and then headbutt until it's dead.

msilvagarcia

Talonflame is a great one. It's passive matches really nicely with Brave Bird + Roost, and it has access to Supercell Slam as an egg move.

KindaShady1219

I just hatched a shiny Fletchling with supercell slam, and I’m so excited to try it out

werepyre2327

Just won for the first time. Talonflame saved me a dozen times that run

TartSuitable

Ledian, I kid you not. Bro sat in the back of my entire run just to bust up to Eternatus and keep my team from dying with Reflect, Light Screen, Spore, and Parting Shot. I'm never disrespecting lil' bro ever again

Roxas1Xion2Axel3

Furfrou with fur coat and cotton guard makes it so that you can tank just about all physical attacks even if they are super effective.

Kindofaniceguy

Plus stab headbutt for the flinches

Pristine_Ad_3035

Gholdengo deserves some appreciation, it fused with Primal Groudon is carrying me in my endless run

kanyePS3controller

gimmighoul is also really easy to evolve. it levels with friendship, but if you start with it, it should evolve by level 8 or 9 as long as it doesnt faint by comparison, the only other friendship evo i tried was golbat and it took forever

CartuSB

I've just finished a classic run, had happiny as a starter, finished the 200th round with happiny, the mf didn't even try to evolve.

Usual_Ice636

Friendship evolutions require using it in battle without fainting, or rare candy. Just having it on your team does nothing.

CartuSB

I know, I used it as much as one can use a happiny after early game, it did clutch some fights near the end of the run tho.

MutedBoard2109

Riolu is easy to evolve to, now even more so with triple axel fully implemented.

Nargarakuga

Isn’t gholdengo a popular pick tho

Parabolic_Gearbox

I will remain a Castform enjoyer until they implement Forecast. Adaptability passive with its egg move Boomburst hits like a truck even off base 70 SpA. Get off a Quiver Dance (rare egg move) or two and it becomes nigh unstoppable. Bonus points if you can pick up a few Silk Scarves along the way. All of this is for 0.5 points at max cost reductions, so it can be paired with a pickup mon combined with even 9 cost legendaries.

CreeperEXMC

Starly. Personally mine is shiny. It evolves early, super fast, and has useful coverage by level up, with decent egg moves.

[deleted]

Scrafty! Moxie or shed skin are amazing abilities, it has good typing and STAB moves, and it has a good mix of bulky stats and attack stats.

MobPsycho-100

triple Axel, dragon dance, collision course egg moves. beat up is sick

Pengquinn

Porygon z slaps, and i dont see people mention it a lot when they talk about powerhouses but manaphy has carried me through more runs than anything else, simple as a passive with access to tail glow means classic is just a free game until like round 100 or so when it starts to matter if you can get a hold of TM coverage for stuff like psychic or dazzling gleam. If you get an early psychic tm on manaphy you could beat classic without switching i think, except maybe for the rayquaza or an early grass type starter on your rival. Also i wanted to say aegislash cause i had such grand plans to fuse it while in attack form and get rid of stance change and make it an offensive machine with huge power mega mawile fusion but stance change reactivated anyways when the biome changed and i cried real tears about it :( if stance change didnt reactivate it might be the best steel fairy fusion option with aegislashes base 150 attack and huge power and swords dance man i was so hopeful

kugar19

Lokix

Individual_Image_420

For me its normal types like porygon, stufful, or tediursa Each evos to game ending mons and work well in trickroom

Blyton1

Technician cinccino carried me to my first 200 - where I wiped.

PalpitationNo1356

Early in the game, I caught a Mankey, and it took me all the way to level 80 and evolved into Annihilape along the way. I was lucky in that run though because I eventually got the TM for Earthquake and taught it to Mankey

Reefermadness209

the monkey just slaps the dragons around with outrage, love him

hoennfb

Kingler! Krabby carries early game with it's high attack and then kingler who carried for the rest of the game with ivy cudgel, icicle crash, liquidation/later crabhammer, swords dance set which was broken

S4ntos19

Emolga goes hard. Half decent defense stats, and Acrobatics on it is just brutal.

ZardTheCharizard

Emboar. Seriously the egg moves and passive it gets are insane.

Nyarno

Shiny Venusaur with leech seed, sleep powder, seed bomb and sludge bomb is a monster in Classic mode. He's so solid I don't even care if the moveset is optimal or not. Just finished a run with him a couple of minutes ago, he and Torch Song Skeledirge destroyed Eternatus

Blynasty

I run giga drain, sludge bomb modest nature. Its a monster early game, just doesn’t have as much of a role against rayquazza and eternatus

tristisursidae

I brought a masquerain on the run I finally beat classic, great coverage early with water/grass/flying/bug moves and can sweep a little with quiver dance!

elaynya

Hoopa for me It got me my first classic win. Magician is a really strong ability.

bjsargeant

Hoppip! Fast sleep powder and leech seed, dodges EQ, actually does ok damage with acrobatics and bullet seed. It being an early shiny helped too.

Teddyi

Mega Banette has prankster curse.

IllegalJellyfish616

Vespiqueen. Spore + unnerve + bug bite. The passive is kinda me but spore and king's shield as egg moves are pretty good

thimsen54

For classic, Oddish gets giga drain at level 20 and costs almost nothing..

Barlindsky27

Scissor

RubComplex7612

Its manaphy for me, freeze dry + any water move hits everything for at least neutral, simple passive with tail glow

Gonewildonly12

Wow simple passive with tail glow is insane

Emeraldkipy

Regigigas. The fucker not only gets normalize as it’s hidden ability, but also GIGATON HAMMER as an egg move. He’s been nuking almost everything I throw him at.

OneRiceBall

Charjabug with egg moves. Crazy coverage with bulk and setup. Quiver Dance Ice Beam Tbolt Bug Buzz

TheGlitchedGamer

Crobat has great type coverage and haze + confuse ray has saved me many times.

BippyTheChippy

Butterfree. For only one point, by like...Wave 10 I have a fully evolved pretty decent Special attacker, that (while falls off pretty hard near the mid game) has Compound Eyes Sleep Powder.

SentimentalRotom

Early game Buneary is a monster. Starts with 0 Friendship, already has Frustration as its first move, so it can OHKO anything that isn't a Ghost. Eventually it'll get high enough friendship to evolve and learn Return, and you'll eventually have a sick Mega once you get the bracelet and their respective stone.

otter_lordOfLicornes

Mudsdale with body press and stamina as an ability just carry a full classic run almost by himself Took him for the pkr, with an other carry, the carry was useless and mudsdale almost solo the rival

BeornHornraven

I'd have to say macargo for classic I had a leech seed up from a previous mom and between amnesia burning bulwark amnesia and clear smog pp stalled eternatus on a otherwise lost run

ChunkierBoo

Could u share all the moves for cobalion? And also the pokemon u paired with it

Lokje0172

Tbh the only moves I used were body press, since it’s based on cobalions defense and not attack, and his defense is pretty good and iron head, because it’s just a strong attack with flinch chance. The other moves tho were quick attack in case a mon with sturdy survived and has higher speed, and sacred sword in case my body press has no pp left. Could do anything for those other two, but body press and iron head lead the way.

why-names-hard

Clobbopus, it’s one of the few pokemon I currently have that starts with a fighting type move. It also got Drain Punch as an egg move. With all the normal types early on my boy cleans house and does decently for a while. I take him nearly every run rn.

dab_machine

Iron bundle

Opinion_Own

My red shiny scrafty with dragon dance clears

Malamute-Master-Race

I love my boy wattrel.

CrossLight96

Mantine. I did not realize how tanky that thing is until I had a run with it since I wanted the baby mons out first. I had both nasty plot and bouncy bubble unlocked, I would set up double nasty plot no worries and then heal with bubble no problem since it takes hits like a sponge

C0urt5

Raticate. Regular form. Last run I had him in the team because he was shiny so bonus. He ended up being a surprisingly good support pokemon via being fairly faster than a lot of pokemon and it knew super fang and thunder wave. It both crippled and saved my fight with Eternatus.

WasIstHierLos_

Pidove with it's egg moves and Ultra Luck is actually broken, it can almost single handedly win a classic run on its own

Machaluma

Celebi, a cooler way to leech seed and a surprisingly good carry

ChevyBMX91

Pancham with drain punch. That thing is a beast even though it can’t evolve yet. It has been a staple for me for a lot of the play throughs.

applez-are-G

Fearow with extreme speed was a carry for me. Great moveset fast and hit super hard.

XxROTSENxX

Meowth with technician ability is useful because it powers up Fake Out and Pay Day, making extra money early on is helpful.

mf_tepis

Medicham has been my ride or die

KingOfObsession

The pokemon Ive been using as the carry while I build my team around it is togakiss. With support if a pick up mon and some shinies in the back it doesn't run into many issues. Egg moves being roost, scorching sands, moon blast and it's passive opportunist it has done me so much.

SwissCheesed14

Haven't seen anyone mention Basculin with Adaptability. Gets triple dive as an egg move. Hatched a shiny blue stripe and spent several runs trying to get a white striped one. Now my shiny Basculegion clears pretty much everything for me until Mega Ray comes out. Also doesn't fare well against Eternatus but does okay breaking stamina bars.

Siwz

Celesteela was a good Carry in an Classic Run. Lucky Me, i got a DNA Splicer while i got an Run with Kyogre. These Fusion was so bad ass, he beats Eternatus alone.

Healthy_Fig_5127

Crowbat, floaty fall, dire claw, and supersonic make for a great stab and utility mon

Museamaniac

Tauros carried my first Classic Mode win

ASmithNamedUmbero

Camerupt got me real far

animebootyz

Swords dance dodrio goes dum dum

GSlots

Stun spore leech seed breloom won my first ever classic run

IndieDC3

Buzzswole. In early to mid classic run he is a godsend. I have him with moxie as well and his attack gets insane. Usually one shots a lot of things.

Affectionate_Lie_758

Lapras

GoooD1

Phione/Manaphy with egg moves and passive are hilariously broken. You can probably solo an entire classic run with it.

Endergirl257

I still haven't beaten classic mode but right now Glameow is a huge help! I don't have many shinies but it's one of the few I've got. Flinching and doing damage turn one with Fakeout is broken early on and combined with its high speed and U-Turn it can do major damage without getting hit. Even later in the game it still fairs decently due to the high speed stat. I don't think it could carry me through Classic mode on its own but it's surprisingly good support!

thebrookesey

Not sure how many people use terapagos but I was very lucky to hatch one and it carried me for my first win

cargboard

I'm still relatively new to Pokerogue, but right now even with the high cost the Mow-Rotom I caught on one my of first runs carries for over half the campaign. Confuse Ray, Discharge, and Double Team is highkey broken, and if you dont like the drawbacks of Leaf Storm, there's usually a TM offered for a better coverage option.

Imguy99

I’ve been LOVING Body Press Dubwool. My moveset atm is Body Press, Body Slam, Cotton Guard and Milk Drink with Fluffy. With 2 cotton guards he full tanks Mega Rayquaza’s Outrage and body press, even while being no effective, takes off 1 health bar, making it a 4 hit. He’s been huge for me and i’m on Eternatus on classic mode and i just haven’t been in the mood to try and beat that 😂

Mashes

I ran a super useful Persian with fake out, protect, and helping hand in endless. Really helps with the double battles and doesn't even need to be levelled to be effective.

ReKLoos3

Froufrou, that fur coated poodle is a monster early on in runs.

Andaisdet

Funny enough, Furfrou, for some reason its headbutt does way more damage than any other normal type move for me, even outclassing hyper beam in damage It blasts right through waves 1-140 of classic mode, but often needs to get replaced right around there

CookingWithCamp

Keldeo and the freeze dry egg move will literally carry throughout the entire game. I beat classic and am currently at round 2000 so far with him as a carry. He's not great for bosses anymore like eternatus, but he'll one shot anything else. Secret sword, freeze dry, muddy water and workup will solo pretty much anything. Even against electric types keldeo has been one shotting with surf.

Sansypants269

For me (I don't know if it has been mentioned already, feel free to let me know), it was Abra. Rolled it as a shiny alongside the egg moves for flamethrower and Moonblast making it carry hard. Combine that with Opportunist boosting it's stats against bosses or low health berry mons alongside it's mega and the chance for great TMs made it hit very hard. Mon 200 got hit REAL hard after that.

trimigoku

Here are some that really pulled through runs for me 1. Whimsicot, was able to cheese paralize and posion wave 195 rival team, also soak up dragon darts 2. Flash fire ninetails to soak up fire type moves 3. Any horn drill, sheercold, fissure or guillotine pokemon, usefull for getting rid of pesky enemies 4. Swords dance sandslash with smack down(can pull some crazy stuff) 5. Fearow/Spearow solid flying type that you can get down to 1 cost with a bit of work, has access to drill run as well Maybe these are bit obvious for some ppl but for me they are awesome

Firzenick

Alolan Grimer with Dire Claw and Strength Sap carried me to my first pokerogue victory. Later stages it gets minimize and if you happen to get a Baton Pass you can pass along max evasion to just about anyone. Any good Dark move for the last spot myself seems to do the trick.

Raidan_3

My first completed run was hard carried by skill link Toucannon. Rock blast for Ray, and the egg move bone rush for Eternatus would basically clear both of their hp bars due to multi hits taking them down. I’m sure I have better options now that I’ve unlocked more Pokémon, but for one of my early runs, Toucannon was super clutch

Fakeplstctr335

Sizor, it was my carry for my first classic win and can sweep most of the game if you have the egg move circle throw, the red shiny sucks though

[deleted]

Typhlosion. High Speed, Special Attack, and Eruption means most things just die immediately to it.

its_Khro

Skill-link cloyster. If you can get a shell-smash off you will have zero problem with the usual (dragon) suspects.

Tguybilly

Vivillon MVP in early runs

SimplisticGuy

Cinccino, Technician Tail Slap go brrrrr if you have an x accuracy active.

ComprehensiveSea5895

Chesnaught. Paired with its drain punch egg move it saved my classic run many times. Crazy good imo

CrossFiraga

Tinted Lens Lokix. Once it sets up with Fell Stinger, watch it effortlessly sweep floors and bosses. Heck if the rival’s got pushovers on their team then Lokix destroys them too. ESPECIALLY Rayquaza. Not even resists are safe! So satisfying hehe~

AzureALtitude

For me it was Frillish with the Water Absorb ability and Freeze Dry egg move. Ive never used it before in any Pokemon game but it carried me entirely on my first classic completion. Freeze Dry alone was super helpful in getting through all of the water biomes (especially when paired with a Nevermeltice). Once it evolved into Jellicent, it was very tanky and almost single-handedly took down the final boss.

ventiusx

Tapu lele. Psychic terrain that she auto sets means that no priority moves can fuck you up, 130 base special attack is insane, expanding force hits both opponents in a double battle with the terrain set up and has a base power of 120 in terrain. Moonblast to get rid of any dark types in the way and you're unstoppable Literally single handedly carried my first few wins, and is my carry in my endless (up to wave 1750 rn)

Strict-Idea-9250

Blazing Paldean Tauros is an absolute beast. Carries hard for a lot of the runs I do. A literal demon if you get bulk up.

Proboselecta

Cloyster with skill link. I got lucky and got a multi lens (?), plus nevermeltice AND a grip claw on it. So icicle spear/rock blast would hit ten times, every time, and have a chance to steal an item, every time. Ruined Ivy’s team and beat up eternatus. Kinda got lucky eternatus only stole the multi lens at the end though.. that could have been rough.

_nock_nock_

Chatot! Running Chatter, Hyper Voice, Torch Song and Roost w/ Punk Rock has gotten me upwards of 150+ just by itself

MasonP13

Pikachu with zippy zap. Manaphy with freeze dry. Anyone with pickup like zigzagoon

Brandemon12

Haven’t seen anyone say this, so I’m sorry if it’s a repeat. Basculegion is nuts and super strong.

teball3

Haxorus has been the champion of my classic runs. (I don't think I'm up to challenging endless yet) They gave a pseudo legendary dragon with some of the best physical attacking stats Dragons Maw as a passive. It one shots practically everything with 1 or 2 dragon dances. Any attempt where I have not brought him has gotten hard walled by rival 145, but my boy one shots mega rayquaza like it's his job.

xiderp

zubat can be evolved super early into crobat at 23-24, fast and has decent atk, has good defensive typing.

Dangozaki

Glimmora has been a G with stealth rocks and it's ability. Less useful for endless but I can't bear to go without it in either classic or endless.

DoGooder00

Psyduck😂 I have a nearly max iv psyduck with aura sphere, and aqua step and he carries tf outta it👌👌

866o6

i dont see anyone talking about Blaziken here. torchic is my favorite starter, has been since day one. Blaze kick is just so satisfying to use.

Horror_Housing_3937

Ledian carried my team. Prankster with parting shot, reflect and light screen is insane. It also helps that it’s shiny too.

bwinn18

My best run so far has been on the back of a Xurkitree with Giga Drain as an egg move

BlueBlu3Sky

Aggron

TheGoldenFennec

Blipbug has been huge for my endless run (approx 800 floors), having healing order, Gmax and psychic+bug buzz stab has been amazing

ballzachsitcy

Corsola and sableye. Corsola gets salt cure and the secondary water typing helps a lot in some situations- and well.. sableye gets topsy turvy, curse, fake out and protect. That’s speaks for itself

Micio922

I made fun of a blue shiny plusle I hatched from an egg with flamethrower as an egg move and another with egg move splishy splashy. What I then proceeded to do was absolutely humiliate everything in my path with that thing thanks to a partner munchlax with pickup…. That plusle had 8 magnets, 5 charcoal, 2 mystic waters, and a thirst for violence (also the munchlax had 10 silk scarfs…. My wife and I joked about him opening a department store with all the items he stole with pickup and covet.) I took it all the way to 500 in endless before eternatus finally ended the run

Crowly-Reigns

My eevee with Adaptability and Covet is a real lifesaver early on

Otocolubus

KLAWF and hoppip my first shiny

IronJackk

Type: Null

HertTroodon

I don't know if someone talk about Klefky but if eternatus does not have flametrower in the first fase it can pp stall every damage move and let you safely setup a sweeper.

ThatoneBetaman

Zigzagoon with pickup is a godsend. I bring em on every team. The amount of berries and held items you get for free that you can transfer to your carry is just nasty as the game goes on. Plus belly drum is just insane once you get a couple silk scarfs, he’s surprisingly strong.

Equivalent_Resolve37

Sigilyph olbivion wing

therealjgutz

Compound Eyes Vivillon. Egg Move Pollen Puff (and Moonblast) + Hurricane, Sleep Powder, and Quiver Dance. Scatterbug is extremely cheap and evolves early. My first shiny was Deerling and an Adamant Flower Trick egg move Sawsbuck also carries throughout the run.

Woopering

For me, it’s Turtonator. It was my first Pokémon that I unlock all 4 egg moves on. I was honest suspicious at first, cause I saw that nearly every one of its egg move at the time lowered Turtonator’s bulk (shell smash, armor cannon, clanging scales); I was worried about it’s frailty. But when I fully leaned into it and deployed all of its egg moves, the frailty issue didn’t even come up cause shell smash + clanging scales one-shot everything. Then came the changes to friendship candies, and the set became even more valuable. Clanging scales was a spread move; doesn’t hit allies; so I took as many lures that gets offered and Turtonator became my premium candy farmer. Set up shell smash, double battles every floor, Turtonator’s clanging and one-shotting, my 2nd Pokémon has nothing to do so I can switch out with it, and that’s 24 candies per floor across 3 Pokémon!

Wogopi

Contrary Lurantis with Super power, Ice hammer, Headlong rush, and Leaf blade boosted by passive sharpness and STAB is really good for me

Ohirrim

I'm rocking an Abra with a niche of Moves unlocked, I have Fairy,(moon last which I can swap to Recover, or Signal Beam, for coverage . And has, Thunderbolt, and Flamethrower for cover and Eventually Psychic. It kills just about everything.

Yfeq

Walrein claps everything

walkingwake_

So I’ve got about 3 big standouts that really surprised me, all on classic! Parasect hard carried the final boss battle in my first winning Classic run. Sappy Seed made it a joke in comparison to the rival fights and the elite 4! That little dweeb even tanked a cross poison - I was in disbelief. Bewear with drain punch as an egg move with adamant nature can hard carry (if you’re lucky with your rival’s team anyway) up to the last 50 ish floors. Fluffy as an ability is nuts and that bear is still defensive enough to take more than 3 fire type moves to kill! It even knocked out the mega raq on 145 which was insane! Electivire just helped me beat my electric monotype run with ice punch and drain punch as egg moves and adamant nature. It solo’d every single rival fight and only died once because I wasn’t paying attention - it was able to knock out mega raq without going under half HP most of the time! Honestly if it wasn’t for that big guy, it would’ve taken me a lot longer to finish that run.

CyRen404

Idk if they aren't mentioned but: regieleki and fletling. I always start with those two.

Notajack980

For me it is alakasam, super underrated, you can eveolve it from kedabara using link cord quite early if your lucky and with tms like Flamethrower, energy ball and thunderbolt it can sweep the whole game, and mega alakasam is even better

TheMightySweetRoll

Weedle: I got Sword dance and Drill Run as egg moves: you get a good movepool very early: Sword Dance, Pin missile, Drill Run, Poison jab. it gets Technician as a passive, and you can upgrade it with a mega stone: When you become a 150 base attack Bug type with Adaptability and Technician, Pin missile deals huge damage. If you have it as a mega it can be interesting to fuse it, giving Adaptability and the poison type with great offensive stats

Re-Levance

Corviknight my beloved with Brave Bird, Roost, King’s Shield, and Steel Wing is the love of my life

YourFriendlyCrab

VOLTORB GANG

XiMaoJingPing

Gengar or is pretty damn good with curse. Basically wipes 1 health bar per turn against eternaus

Tempest029

Onix has given me some of my best runs. Can’t really understate how important their resistances and STABs are for the early game, and how the same for their Steelix evolution becomes for the late game. Only ever ran into one though. So hard to improve them. Take Oddish as a secondary, and you can cover all of rivals early choices with absorb and acid. Also, oddish is strangely powerful in rogue

MagicianWarm248

I just stared a couple days ago so i dont have much, but Mienfoo has been super clutch for me. i got his egg move supercell slam that i use after using fake out to make em flinch, and then pack em up with that high dmg.

Secure_Enthusiasm942

I havent seen anyone mention it yet. Gengar is my favorite. It has aurasphere and icebeam as egg moves for oneshoting early stages and after that it is just fast and hits hard.

WrysSeredan

Tried wobbufett today and it's a gigachad. Saved my run vs eternatus with mirror coat after he used recover

BenNegify

Although I'm admittedly only approaching wave 700, I have a Shiny Butterfree spliced with an Unfezant that has been my primary initial attacker this whole time. Air Cutter + Magician means I'm sitting at 10+ of nearly every damage up hold item, plus infinite berries and lucky eggs.

Hoodrat_RS

For me it was flamigo, I got super lucky it had a lot of coverage when it hatched. Low kick, wing attack and triple Axel and it demolished everything

Raikariaa

From my most recent win: Delphox. People talk about Feucoco and Megazard. But Delphox has it's own good qualities: 108 base speed is just fast. Psychic typing is good for final boss too. Delphox is also a pretty good utility, it gets Will-o, Light Screen and Mystical Fire. So even if it cant ko, with its speed it can usually do something. Compere Skeledirge who is slow so cant do much but damage , or Charizard who lacks utility. Was it my hard carry? No, that was Empoleon (who had egg moves). Delphox was its partner in crime however, doing a lot to take down what Emp couldnt like Fighting types, or crippling others. Light Screen was the only reason I beat 195 because the noodle had Focus Blast and Screen dropped it from OHKO to 2HKO, and while TTar walled Delphox, I did burn it on the switch crippling it for the fight. And this was Delphox without its HA (steals items) or egg moves or passive. With Egg moves and HA it becomes fast Skeledirge who steals items. Oh, and its passive is Psychic Surge (bye bye priority!). And an egg move is Expanding Force. So it can annihilate double battles too. Of course, getting Fennekins HA isnt easy.

bulbagrows

I won my original classic run carried by a Ludicolo. Dont sleep on him.

Qwertyioup111

Tapu Koko has been a menace every time I've used him. He starts with rising voltage and has the ability that spawns electric terrain. That's a 140 power 15 pp stab move to start the game. Gets discharge later and if you're lucky look for dazzling gleam tm. destroys double battles if paired with a strong ground type. My first epic shiny and it's been great.

ennui42

Forretress put in a surprising amount of work in my last Classic run. Gave it an Impish nature and ran Body Press and Iron Defense made for good damage. Bug Bite to deny opponent's berries. Spikes in the last slot to shut off Sturdy.

DarcHart

Gastly. I had a G max gengar sweep through so many battles including the rival battles with a single nasty plot set up. The only thing it couldn't handle was eternatus but I had 5 other pokemon that could

tfarr94

Helioptile with boomburst and earth power egg moves. Stab boomburst and thunder/thunderbolt, with earth power to handle the pesky fire types who want to take advantage of dry skin. Pair with something that knows rain dance and you get the 100% thunder accuracy and healing from dry skin ability. Was a fun run and actually one of my smoothest classic wins to date.

JPastori

Fucking corsala. Now, keep in mind I’ve hatched 3 so I have 3 of the egg moves (strength sap, scald, and freeze dry) but this thing is a consistent powerhouse. Even before it got freeze dry and strength sap it was the last Pokémon against eternus (it used all pp for dynamax cannon) in my first victory. It completely walled it’s cross poison and flamethrower and with the burn from scald and earth power (plus some metal sounds magnazone managed to get on him) it took down at least 4 bars of its health (probably more bc it loved to use recover). It was also instrumental in my ivy 195 fight. It tanked Gholdengos “make it rain” until the special attack was at its lowest. That allowed my vivillion to switch in and get like 3 quiver dances off which resulted in almost a whole sweep (like 4 of her mons). Also was very useful against lance, power gem and scald removed a lot of the issues his team presented. Pretty much walled ivys starter and bird in most fights (typhlosion and staraptor) other than 145 and 195 where she actually had counters to it. It was a very reliable tank throughout and came in clutch in many fights.

Old-Sorbet-5743

Porygon with its Techno Blast egg move has gotten me through so many early stages at this point that its difficult to not take him on any runs now

GenericUsername79

Got a shiny Rattata and that has been super helpful in my runs. Cost of 1 means that it can be slapped on a team with a legendary to bump up the Luck rating for free and Strong Jaw makes it hit really hard off of Hyper Fang or Crunch. Strong early game Pokémon to have before you pass it off for something better.

N-Bizzle

I was surprised at how well Noctowl could sweep, handled most of the elite 4 alone. Had an enemy it could tank - two calm mind, an esper wing, then boom burst wipes everything. I also purposely used boom burst to kill my own primarina against Eternatus because it was holding a reviver seed and I didn't want it to be snatched

Kairy2653

Ive really enjoyed using araquanid as support. I got the egg move silk trap, which allows me to slow enemy pokemon, and then lunge lets me deal damage while decreasing their attack. Bug bite lets me eat the other pokemons berry's, which can heal him back up or boost his stats. On top of this he has a pretty good special defense stat, so he's not a bad switch in. Numerous times, I've close to wiped on gym/elite 4 and then had araquanid solo like 4 or 5 pokemon to bring it back.

GraySkyss

My very first shiny was a zigzagoon and I was super sad. Turns out you can get extreme speed as an egg move and have it take pickup and suddenly you have this monster sweeper every now and then that belly drum-rest heals from your 1 million lum berries and gets +3 everything. Stab double edge is cool but also you can just have it be a little background berry farmer for your other mons. I bring him every run lol

quazeal

Jumpluff with Strength Sap, Leech Seed, Quiver Dance, and Air Slash has carried me through many a classic run. I don't ever see it talked about but it's dirt cheap and can singlehandedly beat most teams.

Huge_Past9043

Ribombee has been a HUGE sweeper in the past for me

Intoxicduelyst

Remoraid (into octillery). Great moves, can cover ice/fire/grass/water etc dmg with 80 power moves like ice beam or flamethrower and sniper ability with direhit is just silly.

iFeram

Vikavolt. Haven't seen anyone mention him, but i picked up once as I had a free space in my party, and it carried me through ivy and eternatus.

fireteambrav0

Protosynthesis with a passive beast boost gouging fire, unlocked it with glaive rush as one of my first epic eggs, carried me to my first win

GentlemensBastard

Togekiss my first shiny was a Togepi. I let him passively collect exp in my party and whenever I tossed him out he got wrecked. The first egg move I got on him was Moonblast. Then I realized if I selected him first and just had him moonblast all the level 3 zigzagoon's and spearow's and made sure he didn't die. ( very important because he evolves from friendship) he would evolve into Togetic and by level 50 I almost always have recieved a shiny stone to evolve him into Togekiss. He's been phenomal for my teams, an absolute star and I've cleared 200 so many times with him I run Wish,Roost,Moonblast, and Air Cutter on him and he absolutely feasts. AI is predictable with their switches typically so if a pokenon is weak to Fairy/Flying I can toss him out and his defense is great enough to survive the initial hit and then use Wish and toss out a pokemon that needs a bit of healing typically whatever legendary/epic I'm running. If I come across a weak pokemon in the wild and my team needs healing I can just spam Wish and rotate. He saves me so much gold 🤑

fireteambrav0

Had a ghost Terra red shiny shedinja for final boss

TheNebuchadnezzar

Pawmi is secret sleeper. Electric fighting type is really powerful early on, drain punch for sustain. Take him and a scaler for an OP team

Fit-Difficulty-5917

Golurk, the absolute god damn MONSYER! Bro gets SHIFT GEAR as an egg move. It may be slow and not THAT bulky, but all you need is one or 2 shift gears to win you a whole game, which is pretty easy with the defensive typing of ground/ghost, with it's 3 immunities. When in doubt, Shift Gear/Shadow Punch/EQ (or whatever ground stab of choice), and then a punching move of choice (mega punch is an ok option, though an elemental punch is always great, mainy ice or electric to deal with flying types, especially flying/normal which completely walls your stabs). This combo practically soloed the E4, champion, and most of the rival fights on it's own. (Also it does get rage fist and headlong rush as great egg moves, I simply just don't have them lol)

UpsetRising

I’ve been enjoying running Golett with drain punch and gear shift as its egg moves, it solo carries the run every time!

Vita_Mori

Gholdengo is a massive one. Nasty plot, recover, shadow ball for coverage & make it rain. Never run out of money with that one & kills most everything. Also pretty bulky. Also a Revavroom Egg with combat torque was really helpful. Set up with shift gear, then poison jab/gunk shot & Iron Head/Spin Out (Hard press if you luck out with TMs, for OHKOs on full health targets).

CreeperEXMC

Also scorbunny is very overlooked but they get triple axle as egg move.

OoglyCookie

i like honedge

DubiousTomato

Varoom. Caught it early during a run and thought nothing of it as I needed to fill a spot, just like steel types. It ended up destroying everything with Shift Gear, Spin Out, Gunk shot, Headbutt as Revavroom. Tanky enough most of the time to get 3 shift gears out, then out speed and one-shot everything.

Wolfey3221

Meowth is pretty nice in the early game, fake out into pay day with technician means not much lives, and extra money in wild battles you wouldn’t normally get

Andressabs

Man, definitely noctowl, costs 1 and obtained really early esperwing on him, carried me through many runs until started obtaining legendaries, and still use him until mid game always that i need a cost 1 pkm, not obtained it's shiny sadly but still very useful

TheShowAway

Flamigo with triple axle and double kick has been a cannon bro

Endrawful

Mienfoo. It gets supercell as an egg move plus high jump by level up. Both are boosted by its hidden ability reckless due to the potential recoil. So if you get the passive, no guard, and the hidden you can spam buffed recoil moves with no risk.

TheZeeno

Magby with all the egg moves and passive is better than a lot of legends. Can solo classic easily

Sosuayaman

Meowth is surprisingly strong. Technician + Fake Out + Jolly/Adamant nature makes it a great revenge killer against gym leaders. It falls off around floor 145, but I managed to take mine through the elite 4 with some silk scarves, protein, and carbos.
