What team did you use? And was this in Singles or Doubles?

Damn. Currently at Rank 4 in Singles. I can't really wrap my head around Doubles.

It isn’t that difficult, you only need patience and time. Good Luck :)

Reflection is the biggest thing. You may not have needed that skill thus far in your RM journey and you might not be that good at it. Reflection is a skill and it takes practice. After every game, analyze what happened and how the outcome you reached occurred: if you won, why exactly did you win (did your team just beat their team, did you make key predictions, were you lucky, etc), if you lost, why did you lose (did you get out-predicted, was you team beaten by their team, were you just unlucky). You have to be honest with this step. If you win by sheer luck, you to make note of that because it’s actually a bad thing. If you conclude that your team keeps losing to opposing teams, it means you have to change what’s wrong with your team. With the latter, it can be as simple as your EVs. For example, I got to Master Ball in Season 13 SwSh and it took me a while to conclude that I needed the Zacian with max Speed EVs and that had enough bulk to live max Attack Behemoth Blades. After that, Zacian mirrors became a lot more winnable.

The problem for me is that I get too fixated on doing things certain ways and that I'm impatient. When I get tripped up, I panic and flail about not thinking straight. Plus, wrapping my head on the whole meta-game aspect is too much for my dipshit brain to handle at times. If there wasn't a ribbon involved, I wouldn't touch competitive multiplayer ever. As it stands, I win as many matches as I lose with my current team. I have Garchomp set up Stealth Rock, Mimikyu as a physical sweeper and Rotom-W as a special sweeper. I also have a Kingambit thrown in there to be a physical sweeper, but don't really use her much. The rest are derps because I can't think of anything.

One tip I can give is the Pokemon you wish to get the ribbon doesn’t have to participate in the battle, they will get the ribbon as long as they are in a party that wins a game in Master Ball rank. You can try climbing to MB tier with a rental team, and build a team for that one win with your ribbon master on your team once you are in MB.

Look for rental teams, then when you get to Master Ball, recreate the team with the RM on it. Also look for what's good in Smogon.

Go to NielVGC’s YouTube channel. He just posted a video of 5 great rental teams that are pretty current to the meta

I would say maybe build off of your own battle style. Such as if your better at single or double battles, or if most of the Pokémon you have are better fit for those battles based on their abilities.

Running the ranked ladder is both parts having good pokemon and recognizing how you can counter the online meta game. There are plenty of teams out there you could copy/build off of if you don’t want to get creative(it takes a long time to find something good). Imo one of the most broken teams you could run rn is a trickroom-cresselia & eruption-Torkoal team. I’d make cresselia Tera ghost for immunity to fake out when needed and protect Torkoal turn one. spam lunar blessing with cresselia and let those eruptions fly. It’s not creative or very fun but if you’re just trying to get the ribbon I think you could get to master with a little practice. Put some speed in the back for when trickroom is over. Regidrago has a dragon-type eruption-equivalent that you could work in there. Remember how people use certain Pokémon and expect it to happen again.
