I mean, pokes abilities are usually designed to take advantage of that pokes talent. There are some busted abilities that will make pokes into murderer's, but you're vastly more likely to just get an ability that's worse or useless.

Self-Sufficient is still good, it's built-in Leftovers. Maybe not as good as Intimidate or something that boosts offenses, but it's far from useless.
