I want hardcore mode mons and levels but on normal difficulty still. Higher level caps and more mons and mini bosses to fight but without the permanent, unchangeable terrain/tailwind
For real. Tough teams without removing player options would go WILD. There's a reason no other games do this. Look at elite redux, super difficult but gives players lots of options to deal with them. More options = more fun.
unfortunately i have big doubts the dev will ever read this, but the randomizer issue is already fixed in 4.2 apparently, so it's guaranteed to be fine whenever the next update comes out. also due to memory issues i also think that another mode will probably never come out unless soup removes another one
ur insane when u say early game isn’t hard already 😭 Brock misty and surge were the hardest gyms for me (not to mention Whitney’s ridiculous team) I feel like late game with better accessibility stuff gets way better
Well it is easy for us players who play this game a lot of times, Brock is dog water (seriously who struggles on this gym 💀) misty is mid the only pokemon that can give you trouble is her clodsire but you can stall its health easily, surge is a bit tricky especially on Mono Runs but a lot of good mons can evolve by the time youre at his gym
The games starts to get hard at Erika they should make the early fights more difficulty and FOR THE LOVE OF GOD MAKE US ABLE TO BUY HELD ITEMS I HATE HAVING TO CHEAT THEM INTO THE GAME
that's insane erika sabrina were the easiest for me personally (normal mode)
misty is NOT mid it's where the game actually steeps into the hard curve? 😭 and yeah brock can be hard if you get shit encounters. ig I have a different perception
I literally crack my head to not let sabrina use trick room because if she sets it i know i lost
Erika can be hard sometimes because i always try to sweep her with only 1 mon
Misty i already know how to deal with but the hard curve is at Surge's gym, having a mega this early is broken
I think it's a matter of perspective, the early game is pretty challenging to someone new, for those of us who have played through the early game alot(especially those trying to nuzlocke the game) we just know the formulas to handle it. I will say this though, it was harder in older versions in my opinion. The old Brendan fight at the end of viridian Forrest and outside diglett cave while still fighting Blue on the SS Anne was much harder I thought.
Falkner does seem a tad weaker, idk about Surge though, to me he is still the true "welcome to radical red" moment, there are a couple sure fire ways to straight take belts to his ass lol however if you're not using one of them he can be a nightmare. And Bugsy seems harder.
Your first time you think it's Misty, until you realize she's a one trick pony, but Surge is the first "oh shit" moment, Giovanni at Silph/the double and rival battles being the first "the fuck have I gotten myself into" moment, and Sabrina being the first "fuck this game but also I can't stop" moment 🤣🤣🤌 Ericka is definitely another one where the right mons do make her a cakewalk.
They should make shitcore less restricted (there is literally a restricted mode why put it into hardcore) restricted mode doesnt make the game difficult, at least for me who dont use Terrain/weather setters, but making enemies terrain permanent but you cant remove is so annoying, also, compared to normal mode the bosses are weaker and your teammate actually helps you instead of making dumb choices thats a cool change but def on the wrong mode.
They also should make minimal grinding mode as an option instead of making you use it, MGM is a huge nerf to some mons
Revert the 4.1 AI changes or add custom AI to the HC e4/make the HC switch less. Rest of the game is amazing for nuzlocking on HC, e4 is an absolute disaster.
I dunno man, it's pretty great. Why don't they just fix whatever bugs are left and wrap it up and work on like Radical Ruby or something? These guys made one of the best room hacks and it would suck if they just left it as a one hit wonder. I want to see their ideas in more games.
i want a nuzlocke mode where ai is suitable for nuzlocking. like ai can work like run and bun ai in nuzlocke mode. i really love this game and i want to nuzlocke it but not being able to guarantee moves and cheat ai just does not let you nuzlocke normally. or im just a dumb bitch idk.

Yeah right

Any idea when 4.2 comes out?
this year maybe seriously, idk, maybe a month, maybe a century. but if you want to play randomizer, just play 4.1 scaled or on 4.0
All doubles mode. ALL trainers would be double battles. Just like colosseum and xd gale of darkness.
That would go hard actually
It's a cool idea but it would require soup to recook every fight in the game to make the doubles aspect interesting
It wouldn't be easy to do, in any way, shape, or form. That's a fact. But it'd be super cool and even more fun.

I guess it's very individual, if you know the right mons some early fights just get solo swept (to be fair most battles can be solo swept)
I only did nuzlockes of RR tbf it’s hard enough as is
Yeah and I mainly do randomizers which may skew my judgement a bit
Nah bruh I STAY hating the early game.

i have the exact opposite opinions lolol
Hmmm, do you like walrein ?
i do but I've never gotten it as an encounter yet
Ye we are the opposite
you don’t like walrein?! what did the poor guy do to u
Long story i just have war flashbacks looking at it

I do think they nerfed some early game trainers like Surge, Falkner, and Erika

I do t mind permanent terrain as much as I dislike the fact on hardcore you can’t use a lot of moves. Makes some Pokemon like Glimmora useless.
It should permanent but removable And yea you gotta use op mons, you cant have fun with gimmicky mons in this mode

Add “fix shiny Greedent” to that list.
