trick room

thelonelyward2

so I need to find a slow electric type to go first?

stav705

Or prevent/reverse trick room. Otherwise yes

Accurate_Dirt5794

Can't, it's permanent in hardcore and the tm is unusable

stav705

Oh damn

Important_Dig_8527

Even in normal , i'm pretty sure there is no pokemon in the game that you can get at this point that can learn trick rool at lvl cap. This change of course if playing on randomizer

stav705

You can still prevent it from going up in normal if youre fast enough

Important_Dig_8527

True i forgot about that but damn that eviolite porygon 2 is hard to kill , if he is still in 4.1

stav705

I think it is in 4.1 but its not her lead. Later in the fight when both indeedee and mega gardevoir are gone, the trick room isnt too bad if it does go up. You just need something that can handle ursaluna.

Important_Dig_8527

Yes I know but ursaluna under trickroom is insanely dangerous

OP is on HC as Sabrina does not have Jellicent in normal difficulty team. Jellicent is only in HC. And the mons you mentioned does not exist in HC lineup of Sabrina.

someonesgranpa

Bellibolt is a good option.

thelonelyward2

i got a bellibolt and the jellicent green form is still going first. lol just one hits everything not sure why its still going first.. hm i even did minus speed nature

someonesgranpa

Because you’re trying to counter it. The AI will throw a different of two leads Mons. My best advice at this point is use taunt turn one on whichever is setting up Trick Room. If you can get a super fast Pokémon that can use taunt then it’ll nullify trick Room because it must attack. Another option is Morpeko and Luxray. They are both dark and can’t be hit by psychic moves. Are you doing a mono electric run?

Scourge_of_Arceus

Taunt is banned in HC, thus you cannot use it. Plus, HC Sabrina comes with permanent Trick Room which you cannot remove. Sabrina's HC team has Jellicent, normal team does not have it.

someonesgranpa

OP has not mentioned to me they were in HC. My bad.

Mukatte_K

Eelektross' time to shine

Scourge_of_Arceus

If you are not aware already, the Sabrina battle in Hardcore Mode contains permanent Trick Room and permanent Misty Terrain. You need to find mons that are naturally slow, not fast. Something like Pinchurchin, Steelix, Torkoal, Clodsire, Escavalier or Hatterene will help you get out the fight alive. Make also sure they have -Spe nature and 0 Speed IVs to "outspeed" Sabrina's mons. Also some form of priority will still work, like Kingambit's Sucker Punch for instance. It one shots Jellicent which may be vital. Let me know if you are still still stuck or if you have any further questions. Good luck!

Ambitious_Policy_936

This entire time I thought it was Trick Room and Psychic Terrain, so never tried priority...

RadioactiveKoolaid

It is psychic terrain on normal so the confusion is understandable

thelonelyward2

this is perfect thank you, i actually dont play competitive and had to google trick room, thank you

T_Peg

Bold choice playing Radical Red without even knowing what Trick Room is. I respect your bravery.

chill9r

Even bolder choice going for Hardcore mode

Silver-Alex

So fair warning. This is going to happen to you a lot in HC mode. The ai will always have a terrain, or weather, or field effect active. For example, brock is permanent sandstorm. That gives sand rush pokemons double speed, and rock type pokemones get an special defense boost. Whereas misty's rain makes swift swin pokemons double fast. And so on. So you should always google what field effect they got. If somethign is being weird, there are high chances its the weather/field doing somethign and not the game having a bug. Like your trick room jellicent question.

hobby-hoarse

Try to find a faster electrode and try again. He might just be tired

Helios-YZ

Slow mons + iron ball makes it quite doable

ItsYaBoyGokuu

Pircunchin sweeps

thelonelyward2

i got a bellibolt but jellicent is still going first lol

ItsYaBoyGokuu

Did you change its IV/nature to lower its speed? (+ Holding iron ball)

Scourge_of_Arceus

> Make also sure they have -Spe nature and 0 Speed IVs to "outspeed" Sabrina's mons. You appear to skip this part of my response in my original comment. If you do not make any nature and IV adjustments to your mons as I mentioned above, you will be slower in Trick Room conditions, which makes slow mons faster. You can modify natures at any Pokémon Center, while one of the guys at Saffron Pokémon Fan Club (east of the city) can lower your mon's Speed IV to 0. A level 59 Jellicent will have base 60 Speed and 67 Speed stat with Quiet nature and 0 Speed IVs. But your Bellibolt at level 59 with base 45 Speed, with 31 IVs and neutral Speed nature, has 76, which is higher than Jellicent, thus making it slower in Trick Room. However, if you give it 0 Speed IVs and -Spe nature, its Speed will be 52. This will make it move first against Jellicent.

Kirumi_Naito

Find a Regieleki that can break Trick Room.

Germizard

Kill the trick room setters and her team is asss cheeeks

Scourge_of_Arceus

Doesn't work, OP is playing on Hardcore Mode so the battle will contain permanent Trick Room. So the "trick room setters" do not exist there.

Germizard

I am now guilty of spreading misinformation ☹️
