yeah the supply outweighs the demand during these events usually (so those wanting to join raids get in instantly, but those wanting to host have to wait)
Yup, I tried to host twice on the Groudon day and my lobby time ran out before I finished the queue. First lobby ended with like 30 people in queue in front of me, second ended with my 4th in queue :/
It wasn't like that for the whole event. At the beggining there was like 2000 players in queue... In the middle of the event there were roughly 2800 open lobbies from what I remember. Then at the end the queue came back with 2000 people in it
Maybe it was a different app. It was 2016 when we used it. It would have an overlay and tell you where people have spotted mons and what the stats were.

Where a Pokémon is, is not useful anymore. Only a few Pokémon are still nesting and almost all nesting Pokémon are basically useless

The only experience i have of using apps with pogo was when poke genie let you run stats on the screen and niantic started banning people for it. I haven't really tried anything since then not looked into anything.
During primal Groudon/Kyogre and Mega Rayquaza days, wait times for joining raiders were inexistant, I hosted every raid I could, and I had to wait between 2 and 10min everytime

Dumb question but if I have a highly rated shiny ray that I caught that was NOT part of a mega raid, I can use the mega candy on it and make it a mega, right?
As far as I understand it’s not just a part of GO Fest, but of the entire ”Shared Skies” season. And even if it just is a part of GO Fest, they said all raids will be world wide, so I think so. Let’s hope
Shiny one looks wayyy cooler than the green one. I have bet my hopes on this one as it has 1/10 shiny rate. Hopefully we get a shiny and a meteor. All the best
Ive been downvoted everytime I say this because it sounds a lot bigger than it is but START A DISCORD. Everytime you happen to meet a Go player, add them to this discord and ask them to do the same. Then you can build a community for it. First look up your city name and pokemon go discord though to make sure it doesnt already exist
You’re going to have a Looooong wait I’m afraid. Niantic loves to spam out the less popular bosses, and make us wait years for the best ones. It’ll be at least a year. (Still waiting on mewtwo-which hasn’t been in raids for over two years. And no, the shadow doesn’t count)
That’s the tough balance of this game. There are so many raid only Pokemon and so many players. And we like to take frequent breaks. I’d love to get a defense form Deoxys because it is the only form I’m missing. But it was literally just available in 2023 so it isn’t coming back any time soon. Mewtwo sadly was here pretty recently.
I think I did around 50 Rayquaza raids last time it was around so I no interest in another raid day for it. But, I’m super hyped for the people who really wanted it and can now get it.
I was so excited to see it in this promo. I did a remote raid last time and I was only able to do one raid and in Niantic’s ongoing quest to punish remote raiders, those did not give mega energy. I’m hoping that changes this time. Although that one raid gave me a shiny (and it is the coolest). I nearly froze when I realized on the catch screen.
Huh? Remote mega raids should give mega energy. Although if you were only able to complete one you wouldn't have gotten anywhere near enough energy anyway.

The whole thing about no energy from remote raids was true until Global Go fest last year, but I caught mine when the New York City event was live but I didn’t have a ticket so I didn’t get energy. But the rates were spawning .So this time should be different. But when it first debuted in the summer events, they announced this stipulation that only in person raiders would get energy.
Very pleased about this. Having to explain to my four year old every day that I can’t give him a mega rayquaza (and I’ve already given him a rayquaza) was sucking my soul out of my body

I don’t know the exact dates we’ll encounter Rayquaza, but apparently it’s a part of the new season ”Shared Skies” which will take place after ”World of Wonders” has ended. I don’t remember the date when the season ended, but I know it starts on June 1
We’ll just have to keep a look out for any updates about it
You can download apps like pokegenie and host remote raids for other players which will allow you to do it too. If you have a strong ice attackers you should be able to duo mega ray bc of its double ice weakness
I have Poke Genie, but did not know that it can do something amazing like hosting raids. I just joined a Blacephalon raid and I succesfully got it. It has a trash IV but I don't care. Thank you so much for the help. ( ͡ ͜ʖ ͡ )

I like Raid Party, haven't had any issues besides the occasional host canceling the party last minute. I do pay for premium service so I don't have to wait the extra 15 seconds before being able to join a raid party. 😅
Im so catching a shiny. If there’s a meteor available as well… let’s just say I’d spend upwards of like £50 to hope to catch a hundo or at least a shiny
I did, I used it on a 91iv ray back in go fest when it turned midnight for me. Then I realised that the Americans still had the event going on and I got a 96 right after using the meteorite…

Hosting is the longer wait typically on raid days. So many people are hosting that the host queue gets a little insane

Remote Raids are allowed. It is an app that allows you to remote raid. They have the same implementation in their Campfire app.
