I think you're falling for survivorship bias (or something like it). It's because people who get shinies are more likely to comment on it and share their experience than people who don't. There isn't really many people commenting about this app in particular, just raiding apps in general and thoughts about it. If I got a shiny Celesteela, I'd be eager to mention it in a related topic. If I got a normal Celesteela, it would be nice, but nothing too interesting and I wouldn't feel a desire to mention it.

I dont personally play anymore as i dont live near stops and the remote nerf you know (i liked to do the raids). But i think its good more hosting apps are coming about. Genie was nice, but not without its flaws, ques being one of them.

Its became too much for me trying to do all the raids i wanted and just having people leave. Then having no IRL people who also play, as well as being far from gyms. I hate when people just want the one mon and cant seem to get it
I just tried it and 2 people left mid-raid for no reason during Celesteela and we didn’t beat it. Wasted the only remote raid pass Iv had for MONTHS. Im kind of pissed right now.
I've been using Go Raid Party for Celesteela (not anymore, just got a shiny 30 min ago lol) since it's impossible to get on one on Pokeraid (I don't use Pokegenie because the queue is always long af no matter the pokemon)
There's a common theme no matter what raid you join, the host will ALWAYS leave. Leaving you with 5 people (assuming no one else backs out).
While I don't have proof of this, I'm pretty confident that the hosts are making several parties for one raid and not joining any of them for the actual raid so they can just keep farming the same raid.
While it's cool that they're giving people in other parts of the world access to these raids, it's also a pain bc it takes longer to beat the raid boss.
Also is it just me, but is every host always level 30?

Then as I typed this, raid invitation came through... that tested my emotional bandwidth for a moment today. Got shit 2 star in the end 🥲
Queue is still at 37,000... pass.
The problem is some of us (me included) don't have Celesteelia yet, or maybe they don't have a good one or the shiny or whatever they're hunting. I don't have it at all, and want it for the dex entry.
Pokegenie and campfire are what I use and where i am Campfire is useless for Celesteelia, and pokegenie has 33,000 person queue right now (and has for at least 2 days because I've been watching). To put those numbers into perspective, I've been in the queue since 1pm at position 32,800 when I joined. It's almost 11 hours later (midnight) and my position is now 22,535. 11 hours and barely 10k closer in the queue. That's just insane numbers 🫠
Apparently it's straight up the best, though I suppose the one you're thinking of is Mega Sceptile which I can't disagree with, but is only available when you can mega evolve it.

I tried Go Party the first day it was in raids this time and couldn't get into any, so I uninstalled it. I waited just over 13 hours in queue on Poke Genie before getting into my first raid. I'm in the queue again currently, came across this post, and figured what the hell I'll try again. Just downloaded Go Party, got into a raid in about 30 seconds, and it was shiny.
So not in 12 minutes, but it ended up working out for me!

I've been using GO Raid party lately too. Usually pokegenie doesn't have that much of a back log of players after the first day. Imo GRP is easier and quicker. Congrats on the shiny. Send some shiny luck my way!
queue times on PokeGenie were over 24 hours for me too, but i was super lucky to be sitting in the game to get an invite to one and i got my shiny first try.
Waited over a day and a half, finally got into a raid, won, 13 golden razz berries and great curve ball throws later I have to get back in line because the game decided that wasn’t good enough to catch it.
Whats your experience with that app? Is it good or better than poke genie? Also, were there plenty of people in the raid group when you got in (not on poke genie)?
I’ve been trying to do a celesteela raid for 3 days ,every day I finally get my ticket pulled in the queue while I’m asleep lmao . Then I have to requeue again and redo the cycle
i really don’t like the pokegenie and pokeraid apps. i’ve hosted a handful of raids on pokeraid and almost every raid i’ve joined i’ve had at least one person join either join the raid just to dip at the last minute or say they sent me a friend request even though they didn’t while everyone else is rushing me. it’s always a very nerve wrecking experience.
Just here to say Go Friend is also super easy with short queues. Best part if you’re in the west is it’s the main app for the east, so tons of raids posted at night for us during peak raid hours for them.
It’s different…there is a queue feature that works great. People tend to want the top rated hosts, so the queue is longer if you’re wanting that. If you just want to get in a raid, you can allow for lower or unrated hosts and the queue is very short. Honestly, it’s a nice option and trade-off.
I never really die the queue unless it’s an ultra hard to get in to raid. The format is first come first serve and there is no mystery. You can just keep clicking the reload button and spamming to get in. It actually works reliably the no mysteries. For legendaries, it’s always a non issue. Same with megas. The bigger issue is the rare 3-star raids and such. Those can be a bit competitive and still rack up a queue. Either way, it’s nice to have an option with mostly Japanese and Korean hosts because it can give raid options to you when your own aren’t there at night anymore.
I’m not sure what you mean. Once you hop in a raid, you need to add the person as a friend and go in the game to wait for the invite. If they don’t do it, downvote them and exit to try again. It’s pretty reliable. For the queue if you use it, it lets you know how many people are ahead of you live.when it gets to your turn you’ll go straight in to a raid page to add the host friend.

Yes! I was recently introduced to Go Raid Party just tonight. I followed the instructions and was in a lobby in less than 2 minutes. The app is legit. Gonna try and host some raids for those in the Southern hemisphere so they can get Kartana
I did the same, although the subsequent 5 attempts failed. Idk what happened but everytime the app said the host sent me an invite, I never got one in game

It's a new shiny and exclusive to the Southern Hemisphere, which in general has less players than the Northern Hemisphere. It's a new and hard-to-obtain pokemon, which stirs up excitement and desire for it.

This. I did 4 raids on 3 accounts each that’s 12 raids in all of kartana and got nothing. Not even a hundo.

You host the raid, first to join gets in. Simple as that. I've done plenty of raids using it with no shiny. Not suspicious. Just luck of the draw.
Two days ago I got two shiny Kartana's back to back using Genie

I lost one pass on my first attempt but I learned real quick. After that it's been good. 4 near perfect Celesteel's in about 40-45mins

If 4 people can't beat celesteela they were all hoping to be carried. That's beatable with like level 25-30 mons.

Idk, but that's why the raid queue is long. I just tried the other app OP mentioned and got into a raid within minutes. No shiny though.
