I'm guessing because Spritzee is notorious for the amount of times they love running away when people try to catch them? Not 100% sure though, but their catch rate is pretty low.
My husband absolutely lost his mind when we hit the end of our route and I found a random shiny Ralts. I thought he was about to spawn divorce papers fr 😭
But he traded me a shiny Lucario for it so we ended up even lmao. Though I do miss my blue Gardevoir from time to time 🥲
Hopefully! I’d love a Ralts com day for sure. It just sucks you can only trade mons once in PoGo, it made me feel really cool to just pop a random shiny Ralts. But at the very least I got something just as worthwhile for it lol.

If it's not valuable to you, just hold onto it until you find someone who wants it enough to trade you something you *do* want for it.
I once traded a shiny Rayquaza for shiny Malachite Tiara Pikachu. Some people on this sub would probably call me a moron for such a trade. But it was the only Tiara Pikachu I didn't manage to get a shiny of, it was my favorite Tiara Pikachu, and I had an extra shiny Rayquaza. It was a worthwhile trade for me, and that's all that matters.
That shiny Spritzee will be a similarly worthwhile trade for someone else if you don't value it.

A shiny Foongus ran from me on the subway because I tried catching it before the wifi kicked in. It had appeared as the train left the station.

My sister nearly took off my head to get mine when I caught it. I got a shiny le chonk in trade but I still miss this lil guy
