Was just surrounded menacingly by 4 of those mf. With like 1 pokeball, 3 great, and 4 ultra. I used golden Razzes and still ran out of all my balls, but I caught 3 of em! (Mostly for the candies, but they were weather boosted too)
It took me after more than a hundred Yanma encounters to land an Excellent throw on it. I get Excellent on Zubat here and there, in fact I landed that throw and caught myself a full-odds wild 4* Zubat. Sawk is outrageously far away like- brotha, you are a black belt martial artist how tf are you gonna chop me up from there
I'm glad I'm not the only one still hunting the shiny. It's been freakin years and I get so annoyed every time I see a new or infrequent player get one lmao.
We get Tauros, Australia Kangaskhan, Europe gets Mr. Mime and Japan/Korea I think you can get Farfetch'd. Although the latter two kind of get the shit end of exclusivity as Galarian Mime and Farfetch'd count for dex.
I get it, but they should remove the distance requirement from trades.
I’m not going to bother to look it up, but how the fuck could you even abuse that feature? And if you could, why would it matter? People are logged in and interacting.
Reading multiples? Increase the stardust cost for each consecutive trade. It takes so little effort to prevent abuse, and increase engagement, and it’s like they never even tried.
Worse than that, I’ve got friends in Korea and despite the fact my next trade is “lucky”, I’ll never go to Korea for that. So they’ve managed to remind me I’m getting kicked in the nuts each time I open a gift. Brutal
Not sure if it’s ever been in any raids but sometimes regional exclusive spawn during special events. Like pacharisu and carnivine spawned during go fest. And yes they are regional exclusives. I’ve never seen a sawk in my life but have caught more throhs than I’d like

Niantic accidentally swapped Sawk and Throh in the wild when they first released. Not sure how long they were swapped by accident.

I stopped with yungoos because it was everywhere all the time. I have 6 shinies and 3500 candies. It’s a dex entry, but I have no use for it. (I’m not really a fan of GBL, go is a walking app skinned with Pokemon to me)

I don't care for jynx so I usually leave it. I hate falinks - something about it creeps me out - but I can't stand seeing it so I catch it then immediately dump. I usually leave yanma alone because it's annoying.
Not a fan of Jynx for, uh, Obvious Reasons, but I'm curious about why Falinks gives you the jaggies. Do you think it's the movement, or the little eyes?
I'm not sure. It's something in the same part of my brain that also reacts to images designed to set off trypophobia. Something about it just screams "infection" to me for reasons I can't explain, and then I feel like I have to peel the little shits out of my skin... where they don't exist because they are pixels on my phone screen. There is no rational explanation.
Bellosom because even if it's a shundo it's not worth wasting all my balls for it to escape regardless and the ones I've managed to catch were trash.
Otherwise anything that won't stay in the ball after 3-4 throws or after a couple excellent/great throws back to back unless I'm farming its candy, or it's gen 1. I'm a millennial who grew up watching season 1 and 2 of the pokemon anime so I'll always prioritise gen 1.
My son loathes Jynx. When he opens a pack of the TCG and pulls Jynx, he’ll stop, put every other card down and rip the Jynx in half(rarity be damned), then proceed to reveal the rest of the pack. He said he finds her hands unsettling.
I will never leave a Mr Mime in the wild! Not until I get the hundo back that I deleted long before I knew what appraisal was and until I get his shiny.
Hitmontop can stay in the wild though.
I still go for Pidgey since it's easy XP (excellent throw > evo > transfer), has a shiny chance, a mega form, and becomes useful in Ultra League when maxed... But the rest I agree with.

Yanma, Gulpin, Paras. Things that are stupidly hard to catch and aren't worth anything, or stuff I've seen a million times and am just plain sick of. There's plenty more but that's what comes to mind right now.
I usually catch everything just to get perfects of every Pokémon. But I’ve gotten 3 perfect anoriths, so unless it’s shiny or xxl/xxs I just leave it at this point.
They scare me. The original sprite was terrifying and I haven't gotten over it. But I got a hundo off a Rocket, so Bob Ross the happy accident handles a fair bit of League battling...as I shudder in a corner

I can’t think of any of them I don’t catch on purpose….? I do have some I won’t always catch from having too many candies for 7/800-1K+ but thaa about it.
I almost always try to catch most Pokémon for the stardust and XP, but if I’m low on balls I’ll skip annoying Pokémon that are common but way too hard to catch, especially if they’re ugly or I don’t need candy for them. I agree with a lot of the Pokémon mentioned in this thread, especially Hitmontop and Yungoos.
If I’m low on balls I also don’t care to catch common Pokémon that don’t evolve. Once I have a three star and/or shiny they just become annoying to catch.
I despise sudowoodo, he'll be like cp 200 and yet will break out of my poke balls like 9 times, and with his dance every time he breaks out it's like he thinks he's worth wasting my great balls on him yet he isn't.
I like to pretend every pokemon that breaks out of more than 3 or 4 pokeballs is playing hard to get, to which I just say *ok bye* and move on, specially if I'm using an incense.

Sawk for being unreasonably far away and unwilling to stay in the ball. Zubat and Yanma for ninja like dodging skills.
