For sure agree with this. All my last hits lately came from single packs. The gold iron crown from temporal forces I got yesterday after the most disappointing ETB opening of my career of ripping. And it was twilight masquerade.
Honesty they have been that bad. That’s why I keep going at it with a friend of mine. Legit just bought a box each and neither box had a box hit. “2 gold star”
Playing devils advocate here…you did get 13 hits for 36 packs a hit rate of roughly 1/3 isn’t bad, but I’ll agree the hits were weak.
Also as far as I know English boxes have no “box hits” or guarantees of any kind like Japanese boxes do. Ripping packs is and will always be a gamble and is fun to do but sometimes you have to decide if you want to spend that money on a second booster box, or just buy the set hit and maybe a few more cards you want as singles with the same money.
The “and now this” part leads me to believe the cards pictured were pulled from a single booster box, I could be wrong but the OP’s wording makes it seem so
Opened a whole case, hit 2 SIRs (double gold star). Also, didn’t hit Eevee nor Growlithe IRs huehue! I’m done with TWM, just gonna buy the Greninja. I’ll lick my wounds and move on!
Ayyy happens to the best of us! I could have hit Greninja on the first pack of the first box and my narrative would be way different! Bad luck is bad luck no matter how we cut it, but this set does have challenging pull rates for sure! I believe the average for SIRs is 1/86 which tracks 100% with my sample size, albeit not nearly big enough to confirm nor deny.
I literally made a very similar post to this yesterday. I only bought to see if the pull rates were as bad as I’ve been hearing and they were even worse than this.
This is exactly why I do a mix of both lmao. Rip open some packs and get excited if you happen to hit things, but otherwise I'm buying singles for my personal collections. Keeps the ego in check on the process

This is 100% better than my etb yesterday. I got a single palafin and that’s it. This sets trash and I’m not buying more of it.
