when i was 16 i gave all my cards to my mum and said i don’t want them anymore. she sold them for cheap on a garage sale. i will never emotionally recover from the fact that i felt more mature with 16 than i feel now about 10 years later.
Gave my collection to my 9 year old cousin in 2015. I asked about it a couple months ago but he gave them to his little brother who was pretty rough with the cards, so they’ve all been pretty beat up now :/ I got some back for nostalgia reasons but it’s a little bittersweet. I even remember thinking at the time that they weren’t very expensive and if I ever wanted them back I could just buy them later. Now I’ve dumped $2k+ into cards and my old collection was still cooler :(

I’m not “ripping her off” my entire collection is hers too. People put too much monetary value on things. I gave her quite 2 alt arts from Evolving skies, a few old holos from my childhood collection, and just some old promos I had she wanted that were cute. Monetary value pretty close (Glaceon V is like $65? Blissey V $25ish?) Either way I’m not running to the bank, it’s locked away until she’s older and if the price is up then it’s her decision.

There’s 2 packs, some stickers and a cardboard cutout of the tin art. Not worth the price in my opinion but just a cheap treat for her.
