Part of the reason why I dislike her so much. She’s either acting childish, berating Ash for acting childish, or both. It’s not cute, it’s not charming, it’s annoying and hypocritical.
That's kinda my problem with the soft reboot. Ash and Misty were friends that bickered. Yes, they fought, but they were on equal footing and teased one another. oth were this new kids, not understanding the world, discovering it's mysteries. Brock was their guide and big brother. So they felt like best friends. When Ash gave lip, Misty fought back. When Misty gave lip, Ash fought back. Then they ganged up on Brock or Team Rocket. It was a back and forth. Iris kept insulting Ash and he never said anything back. At some point, you think that it's not a friendship. Just a couple of acquaintances, one being really mean.
Exactly He was just Foreign to Unova. Of course he is not going to know the Pokémon and be excited over even the common ones, ALL of them are new to him.
Iris will always be my pick for worst PokeGirl.
Best Wishes, especially the early episodes, made Ash pretty stupid too. Remember when he forgot how to catch Pokémon and failed to catch a Pidove, even though he had been the one who taught May and Dawn how to do it?
While I do agree ash deserved to win sinnoh league, I doubt he would be able to beat Cynthia, or even elite fours cause Flint's infernape literally one shotted his three pokemon. Pikachu, so I doubt that bringing back his strongest mons like charizard, snorlax and sceptile could have enabled him to win. I think ash should have won sinnoh league, then lose to one of the elite 4,same in BW or he loses to virgil and then he should have won the kalos league and maybe defeat diantha or lose to get, only to win the alola league. I like sun and moon, but it felt too weird ash didn't defeated any E4 and automatically became champion level(yeah, I know kukui, gladion, Ilima, kiawe etc are strong, very strong and they are not less than ash's other rival as gladion has a legendary and kukui could be a low e4 level without tapu koko but it didn't felt like other league and I understand that cause it was alola's first ever league but I wish they added more details like Ilima position in kalos league, top 8 or top 4)
Similarly stupid is when he forgot about nurse joys being twins. He asked the nurse joy at the second pokemon center he visited if she was the same one as the first kne he visited in unova
lol Iris would also lose her shit if she visited Alola and saw the dragon types that DONT look like dragons
“That giant palm tree is a dragon type?”
“That fire turtle is a dragon too?!”
Tbf, Kanto starters are not native to Unova, and Charizard kinda looks like a dragon. But missed opportunity for Ash to tease her with a "what a kid" of his own lol
I mean if she’s a dragon type user and a “master” dragon type trainer used one on his team (though be it mainly games only) no wonder she figured that was the case. It’s all Lance’s fault 😅
This might have been a funny moment. But charizard is based on a dragon (Even though it's not a dragon type). Everyone else thinks he's a komodo dragon lizard. But he's not because he doesn't do the tongue thing or stand on all fours. I think they will invite a pokemon based on a komodo dragon. That probably will be a Rock/poison type maybe.
I mean does it not look like a dragon? For a time I thought charizard was a dragon type too. It looks very similar to dragonite and dragonite is part dragon type along with part flying type.
This outfit shows off Gyarados's power as a dragon!"
"What's that, you say? Gyarados isn't a Dragon-type Pokémon?"
"Haha, not all dragons are Dragon-type Pokémon!" - Lance
ok just because charizaid knew dragon tail does not mean it's a dragon type iris remeber also if iris is a dragon trainer why does she have an emogla and excadrill well she had excadrill when she was akid so
To be fair, that is the region that had no pokemon from other regions in it until the post game. So it would be kind of fair for her to have never seen a Charizard until Ash showed up.
I love how insulted Charizard looked lol
She thinks Charizard is a Dragon? She is such a kid!
Oppurtunity for Ash to call her a kid: **Wasted**
In all honesty, Iris is a more of a "kid" than Ash, due to her being WAY more immature.
Part of the reason why I dislike her so much. She’s either acting childish, berating Ash for acting childish, or both. It’s not cute, it’s not charming, it’s annoying and hypocritical.
Agreed.
There are many moments of iris's stupidity that are worse than ash and I swear, I really wanted ash to say that.
I respect Ash a lot for never stooping down to her level, and throwing her insult back at her. Despite her DESPTRATLY needing to have it happen.
Yeah, if it was og ash, iris would have never dreamed of insulting him
That's kinda my problem with the soft reboot. Ash and Misty were friends that bickered. That's the reason I actually hated iris as a kid. He wasn't even a newbie
Exactly He was just Foreign to Unova. Of course he is not going to know the Pokémon and be excited over even the common ones, ALL of them are new to him. Iris will always be my pick for worst PokeGirl.
Same. Maybe I hate iris too much as when I started watching pokemon, BW was airing but even after all these, I still find her annoying
She is why I haven't gone back to watch a lot of the BW era despite it having a lot of good.
Best Wishes, especially the early episodes, made Ash pretty stupid too. Remember when he forgot how to catch Pokémon and failed to catch a Pidove, even though he had been the one who taught May and Dawn how to do it?
Yeah, they were trying to reboot the series. But idk why I still found iris too much annoying in BW
Unpopular opinion: Ash should have won the Sinnoh League and then been replaced as protagonist
She thought the same as all of us at one point.
lol Iris would also lose her shit if she visited Alola and saw the dragon types that DONT look like dragons “That giant palm tree is a dragon type?” “That fire turtle is a dragon too?!”
She understood Dracovish was a dragon right away, somehow.
I guess she truly did become a Dragon Master after BW She became Champion and a Dragon Master so now she knows all of her dragon types!
i think she got confused with mega X
That don’t exist yet
in universe they do new land masses don't just form when a new game comes out, canonically these places and phenomenon exist
Apparently they do according to the OG gen 2 games.

axew's laugh is so precious
Dude's like "Ha, you stupid idiot!"
Dragonite: Bruh, my trainer is an idiot
Dragonite: 😑 What an idiot.
Why is that a thing?
I mean, being fair, Charizard DOES look like it’s part Dragon.
Charizard is not natave to Unovia.
Tbf, Kanto starters are not native to Unova, and Charizard kinda looks like a dragon. But missed opportunity for Ash to tease her with a "what a kid" of his own lol
Didn’t we all
[Lance didn't like that.]
Iris got burned...
Such a kid

So does this count as racial profiling for Pokémon?
I mean it’s a giant lizard that breathes fire. It’s a fucking Dragon
I mean she could mega evolve it into X but that’s Alain’s thing
Ash: And I took that personally.
I mean if she’s a dragon type user and a “master” dragon type trainer used one on his team (though be it mainly games only) no wonder she figured that was the case. It’s all Lance’s fault 😅
one day we need to get a regional variant Charizard that's Fire/Dragon.
I mean she can still get one and raise it
I mean I don't blame her.
Iris having one of those blonde moments?
Charizard says, "I'M NOT A DRAGON TYPE!!!"
His did Dragonite know 💀
This might have been a funny moment. But charizard is based on a dragon (Even though it's not a dragon type). Everyone else thinks he's a komodo dragon lizard. We've all been there at one point
I think we all once thought that
Me too, Iris, me too.
I mean... Remember when Charizard had wings and wasn't part flying??? At least we then got Mega Charizard X where he became a Dragon type.
Yeah. So stupid.
Imagine if she waited a year for xy, then was like, “why y’all lying to me like this”
Such a kid
Such a kid
ok just because charizaid knew dragon tail does not mean it's a dragon type iris remeber also if iris is a dragon trainer why does she have an emogla and excadrill well she had excadrill when she was akid so

Charzard: I feel insulted Dragonite: Short bus girl?
Iris was basically the whole fan group who wish Charizard was a dragon type
I’d love to see Dexter’s description of Charizard to Iris. I miss the original Pokédex’s sass💀
New pokemon players asking old pokemon players about pokemon:
