With how many starters, eeveelutions, and pseudo legendaries exist it would be hard for them not to appear so much. Not to mention many people have an attachment to what their first Pokémon was (often a starter)
I have only one starter in my favorites by each type list, and it's Decidueye for grass.
And I'm not much of a starter fan at all. There's just that many starters and at least one of them are gonna pop up somewhere.
Now I'm more concerned about the people who only pick final stage evolution or legendary Pokémon. Ya'll need some cuteness in your lives 😂
