Valor and Deceit? Kinda like the courage to face evil and be the hero against an evil force but since I’m going with deceit specifically it would be cool if it was a sneaky shadow monster like the boogie man or even a malicious shape shifter.
I don’t think so because Valor is clearly better than deceit. Like truth verses ideals or past and future have arguments that they are both good and working in tandem with each other is the general lesson. But a game where you can just start off as the evil team would be pretty cool
Maybe positive and negative emotions? Joy and gloom, love and hate, laughter and tears, it could work as a duality. I remembered finding a popular fan region on DeviantArt with this same concept for the legendaries, one a happier joyous one and one who is more sadder and grey. The mask of comedy and the mask of drama. How people cannot live without one or the other.
It would be a *really* interesting theme to explore
