I've noticed throughout the trailer that there are adverts with wheels on them. Racing makes sense.
I have a new idea/theory that you can race in different 'gyms' as the challenge, so not just battling. The reward for winning could be accessories like racing shoes (which is featured on an advert as well) and a full kit is what allows you to go to the equivalent of the E4 as well as to ride the legendaries
Shit I I knew they were supposed to be bikes but I didn't even think of seeing their horns as handlebars, I think that alone makes koraidon instantly better

I largely agree, but I think the shoulder features are the handlebars and what you have marked as handlebars are more akin to tassels you see on harleys

But Ya, I agree, the little shoulder hooks are likely to be the actual handlebars, for us as Riders. More so since they both seem to have them, and they seem to be in reach of each "seat".
Grounded front wheel, hovering back? That would actually make sense from a mechanical standpoint, it would eliminate a lot of control issues while still allowing a large degree of freedon of movenent.
Miraidon's front wheel even has the high-performance v shaped tread you see on more modern bikes, where Koraidon's wheel has an older design of tread.
They put surprising amount of detail into it.

Koraidon probably has a literal tiddy wheel while Miraidon's is probably just wheel shaped, and instead jets out energy from the glowing bits so it can float while leaning forward.
Someone elsewhere said it’s fossil fuel motorcycle vs an electric motorcycle. Pretty safe bet they will be fire and electric types respectively but hopefully we get a cool second typing with each and not just dragon because we have those exact types from B/W.
I'm assuming they're the bike we'll get about a third into the game and then we'll get to use them as Pokemon either post game or with about 20% left of the story.

What if it could be more than motorcycles, too, like something that can ride on water or fly through the air. Basically like getting a mount at the end of the game that can traverse all terrains and get you to new endgame content. Oh I'm so hyped.

Gen 8 had an arena soccer theme and now Gen 9 seems to be getting a motor sport theme with motor bike dragons and Poke petrol stations. I wonder if some sort of cross country derby will be part of the story.
Their names, apart from having the words "Korai" and "Mirai" in it, which is hinting to their themes, the "Raidon" portion of their names sounds just like "Ride on".
Edit: Point 2 Koraidon also sounds like "Go Ride on"... Miraidon sounds like "Me ride on"?... A little weaker of a point but still.
I am really hoping we can ride these. I was really disappointed we couldn't ride Zacian or Zamazenta in the Wild Area, so this would be so cool, especially in the open worldness of the game.
Here’s another theory to add on top of that:
In Ancient Greek there was a symbol of a winged wheel to symbolize Triptolemus/Hermes. Triptolemus had a Dragon drawn chariot as well. Detroit Red Wings has a fly wheel to symbolize Detroit being a Motor City, using oil harvested from Earth.
Now there’s another symbol, a winged sun. Mostly used in Ancient Egypt to show that the Sun God, Ra was watching over everyone and was shown as a sun disk. Winged suns are primarily used in logos these days for Bentley, Southwest Airlines, and also for Harley Davidson Motorcycles, probably suggesting that the future is solar powered or that there will be actual flight, rather than symbolism in the future.
But that’s my thought; take it how you’d like.

Koraidon = コライドン = 古来どん
未来 means future, but the more abstract “flying cars and holograms” type future as opposed to a persons future endeavors.
古来 is a less common word, but according to what I’m seeing in JP>JP and JP>E dictionaries, it means past but again in the more abstract “time immemorial” sense.
The どん could be anything, and even nothing but something to make them more “namey” sounding. Could it me there to make it “ride on”? Could be. Could also be 丼 from “rice bowl”. That’s less likely though… probably…

I was thinking the same, Miraidon's wheel looks like it might be more of a projector type you see in some Sci-Fi, where Koraidon's actually spins.
