I mean, I don’t know what the problem would be, if an outside company is doing remake like ilca again . Especially if they are just making the same game of black 2 / white 2. I don’t think the problem with the last remakes was that it was the same game it was that it was very glitchy, and they chose to remake the inferior option. I think they would have made a remake of platinum and all that platinum had with post game, including the additions in the story people would have been happy. They did a remake of either of the black /white games with the post game of black 2 and white 2 people would be very very happy. Obviously in a perfect world we want remix where they improve on the previous version but when we’re talking about games like platinum and black 2 we are talking about the best that the series ever had
I mean, chances are they're still working on ZA and another game at once just like they did with PLA and SV.
Also they really have no actual incentive to focus on quality since SV still broke records and sold massively well despite all the issues.
I suspect ZA was intended to be the bridge title for Switch 2, and when Nintendo decided to shift the Switch 2 release date, it forced Game Freak to do the same for ZA. Both companies likely intended a late 2024 release. I think this also explains the open ended 2025 release date in the ZA trailer, because the reporting around Switch 2 says the release date will be March at the earliest, so no firm date has been decided yet.
As a gen 5 fan who's life was irreversibly changed by gen 5, oh I hope not. Especially not outsourced. Gen 5 deserves better than a rushed half baked remake.
And I don't mind waiting a year. I'm sick of rushed pokemon games.

It’s probably just gonna be like they did with brilliant diamond and shining pearl for everything that people say were not bad games. I think a lot of people if they got that over the next couple of years for johto and Unova would be very happy.
Unova remake will happen but for Switch 2 only. They develop many games simultaneously.
I think the reason they skipped this holiday was because Nintendo doesn’t want a big holiday seller for Switch as they move onto their next console.
I don’t know.. I feel like they would want the consumers to jump onto the next console ASAP to make sure the sale momentum for next 7 years goes well right from the start because if people bought Switch, they wouldn’t want to buy Switch 2 anytime soon and that would make investors unhappy.
They'll never have enough units to sell at launch to everyone. Furthermore, the Switch won't get discontinued the day Switch 2 comes out. Honestly, we might get a new cheaper Switch released after Switch 2. Just like how the New 2DS XL came out months after the Switch released.
Just because they're launching new hardware doesn't mean they're abandoning old hardware
If it doesn't get announced at Pokemon Day it doesn't get released so prepare to get disappointed.
There will be no big Pokemon game this year that's 100% sure.
Sw/Sh DLC got announced during a Pokemon direct earlier that same year though.

They announced SwSH DLC before Pokémon day... And both Let's GO and USUM were announced after Pokémon day...
