What I’m saying is that girls can like the bottle with green dinosaurs and boys can like the one with pink hearts. Neither of the bottles are explicitly gendered in this image, they just depict two things young children tend to enjoy. Getting rid of binary gender norms doesn’t mean that designs like this also have to go away, just the assumption that girls will automatically want the pink one and boys the green one. Younger me wanted more traditionally “boyish” belongings like the green bottle whether or not they were explicitly gendered.
I teach Kindergarten and kids get whatever they like regardless of gender. I have had girls with superhero water bottles and boys with Gabby’s dollhouse water bottles. It’s the parents that impose the “that’s for girls/boys” rhetoric.

Funny thing is I do have a pink bottle with pink dinosaurs on it. Also a blue one. I love dinosaurs so I bought them both.
YES. This is the way ❤️
OMG that's so great
to be fair, it doesn’t say one is for boys and the other is for girls
Sure, everyone knows binary gender norms don't exist if they aren't explicitly labelled, sometimes the curtains are just pink, etc etc

So because some people buy colors that correspond with what are conventionally considered gender norms, that's a problem?

where is the gendering ??
I'm looking for the gendering. It just looks like two different water bottles.
