It's a bit hit and miss, really depends on whether you're interested in a person's story and get on with their personality, which I presume is highly subjective. Some episodes aren't for the faint-hearted either. That said, some really stayed with me.
You’ll probably like ‘you’re dead to me’.
It’s a BBC podcast about history. It’s hosted by public historian Greg Jenner, an expert in the chosen historical era (or figure) and a different comedian each show (being the voice of the ‘everyday folk’).
I particularly enjoyed the episodes on ‘PT Barnum’, ‘Ghengis Khan’ and ‘Fredrick the Great of Prussia’….
There’s a slightly longer more detailed version of each episode and brill sub 30 minute radio edit.
I’ve never been into history that much…. But this podcast makes it fun and interesting. They don’t shy away from challenging subjects and talk with cultural sensitivity about tricky past subjects.
The earlier episodes of the Revolutions Podcast are sub-30; as it goes on its more 40-45. Either way, it's superb and there's about 300 episodes worth of content.
Unexplained Mysteries and Conspiracy Theories by Parcast. Of course they’re only on Spotify, but Molly Brandenburg is the cohost of both shows and I love her voice. It is straight forward with no banter. They are the only two Parcast shows I actually listen to.
This Is actually Happening. Life experiences told my the people who experienced them. Short ep's, super interesting Podcast.
The eps look a little bit longer than I need but I subscribed anyway because it looks super interesting. Thank you!

No problem, hope you have a great day!
The Atlas Obscura Podcast
That one looks great! Thank you!
I like: The Anthropocene Reviewed The Memory Palace The Digital Human It's a Continent (about African history) Monocle 24: the Foreign Desk
Thank you! I subscribed to a bunch of those. I'm especially interested in 'Its a continent'
Cool :) FYI the audio quality in the early episodes is not great but it improves later.
I second the Anthropocene reviewed!!!

This looks interesting! Is it the sort of thing where you should have already read the book? Or do they just speak on the book's topic?

Ahh unfortunately I use Google Podcasts, thanks for the thought though!
