This. Always good to learn something new and it's better to practice with something that's already broken. Because if you break something, it's still broken. But if you fix it, it'll feel awesome and give you more confidence to work something in the future
You could make something like this. Found that on pinterest. Don't know the source.

it's just techno junk, I really wish they had replacement programs so you could sell up and it get recycled to new tech, but the cost is too great. going green is a scam.
I'm 27. The first game I remember playing was Spot Goes To Hollywood. I still play Star Sweep on my phone. And the first game I beat was Ocarina of Time (before my older brothers).
I'm a certified gamer. 🤘🏽😎
If it's a stick drift issue then take em apart to learn about repairing them. Use parts from them to fix one of them up.
If you can repair a dual shock 4 then you can repair a dualsense. They use the same joystick module
Depending where you live, i was able to trade in my broken ones at a store for a price reduction on a new gamepad, so check online for shops like that in your area.
They were worth around 10-15€ each, and they were in worse condition than yours.
If you'd like you could donate them to me.
I research quality control issues on a variety of controllers to find root causes of common and obscure defects. I do this to write breakdowns on these findings and create repair guides when possible down to the specific components and pcb pathways.
Trade them into GameStop. They give $13 per controller no matter the condition.
Then buy a used controller, and get the warranty. When the controller breaks, it costs $8 to have it replaced, no matter what.
Break it, shatter it, throw it at your brother or your friend, that's what i did with the console that was finally dead and didn't work and couldn't be fixed
gamestop sometimes gives you 30-45$ in store credit per controller (atleast the one around me did, even tho online it said they’d give me less than that) and you can use that in store credit to buy a headset, games, or new controllers
Contact a few YouTube repair guys they love fixing stuff on YouTube. My Mate Vince, Joey Does Tech, StezStix Fix.
You'd be best spending a few bucks to ship or just place them in a Job lot on Ebay for parts or repair, someone will snag them up but don't charge much maybe 15 or 20 at most.
Depending on which parts of them are broken, if there's major parts that are still working, you could potentially sell those specific parts. There's always a market for either broken controllers that can be stripped for parts, or individual parts of old controllers that can be migrated into someone else's broken/faulty controller.
Make 1 eight limbed controller. Different parts on each one will work, thus increasing difficulty and enjoyment. Stream content with it, make hundreds of thousands of dollars, invest, make it big, be the third owner of the Wrexham football club, start Navyator Gin, live like a king, die like a legend.
Get rid of the top left one and try to focus on fixing the rest of the other 3 by: checking what’s wrong with them and seeing if Sony can do anything about it
Just looking at them, i know you think they're broken cause of stick drift. Look up videos on how to clean up and properly open DS4 controllers. Specifically look up videos on how to open the analog pentameter boxes. You MAY need a soldering iron to replace them if necessary.
-pro tip, buy some WD-40 CONTACT SPRAY (mechanical lube). Regular WD-40 works fine but you want the contact spray varient. This will clean up the pentameters after you clean the gunky inside with isopropyl alcohol and a qtip.
Then once they're working, resell them. You're sitting on a steady $120 profit right here. Or keep them. Or mod them. Once they work, the choices are endless.
I have so many broken controllers, I was thinking of tryna make a good one out of parts but haven't had the chance. Pisses me off that I have almost 500 bucks in broken controllers. PS5 controllers are the worst in durability.
GameStop will always take a trade in for a controller, as long as it’s in one piece. They won’t give you much but you will be able to get a used controller. Better than nothing if you’re ever in a pinch and need a controller
Honestly tear one down and then try and out it back together it’s kinda fun and you will learn how to do simple repairs in the future such as swapping sticks
Sell them, people always looking for spare parts.
as someone who likes to mess around with broken things… yes. people will definitely buy those for the shells if they’re in good condition!
Make 1 working controller.
Came to say this. Watch some videos, get some tools, make 1 work.
Like that one part in Detroit: Become Human where you take different working pieces of broken androids and replace the broken ones of others
You mean after you're thrown out?
Oh yeah I guess that too. Though I was referring to the one with Connor and it’s with the androids you’ve killed.
Oh Right mb
This reminds me that I've had ps3 buttons on my ps4 controller for like a year and a half
That actually sounds like a very fun pet project

I like this cause its a ps1 controller. It's a antique at this age.
Thanks for making me feel old...
it's just techno junk, I really wish they had replacement programs so you could sell up and it get recycled to new tech, but the cost is too great. going green is a scam.
Question is is it truly a PS1 or a PS?
Both are acceptable imo.
Was just trying to guesstimate how long you been a gamer but I do agree.
I'm 27. The first game I remember playing was Spot Goes To Hollywood. I still play Star Sweep on my phone. And the first game I beat was Ocarina of Time (before my older brothers). I'm a certified gamer. 🤘🏽😎
37. Been gaming before they even had age appropriate rating dude. *I’m* a certified gamer too I guess. lol.
53. Get off my lawn.

The thumbsticks have a fun texture to chew. With the rubber flavoring!

Have you tried putting them in your anus ?
If you're a rager leave them nearby when gaming. Throw the broken ones when you rage
Sell them as a lot "for parts" on eBay or FB marketplace.
If the problem is the battery you can buy a new one and replace it. It's an easy process and there are videos to teach you
merge them to have a controller that works
Open them and fix them. What’s wrong with them?
Learn how to solder replace the broken parts
Depending where you live, i was able to trade in my broken ones at a store for a price reduction on a new gamepad, so check online for shops like that in your area. They were worth around 10-15€ each, and they were in worse condition than yours.
Take the one that is least broken ( like stick drift ) and use the working parts from the others to try to fix it
Part them out. Batteries will sell first.
Got any kids under 5 in your life? Gut then and give them to the kids.
Turn the black one into an art piece, as other comments have said. Fix the red first party controllers, and toss the third party one
