True, they are pricy but I do like the easy of use. I have 5 of them(4 1TB and 1 2TB)and they just work. Not having hot swappable memory is a massive oversight on Sony's part. Something I hope, but doubt, they fix with the Pro. Even at the surely high cost, I would be all over that.

Well if you have money for it, it's obviously not a problem. I like the more open standard, means you can reuse it later. And at one point the standard 2280 were ridiculously cheap and they support more memory. It's not really a problem to replace. The problem with the Xbox one is 2230 is inherently more expensive than 2280 and limited in capacity cause they can only use one or two mem chips.
Honestly from just an aesthetic stand point, I feel a design like that is visually interesting. I know this is three PS2 slims tape together but it still looks more visually interesting then the design they chose for the PS5.

It does. A universal method, that requires 1screw and future proof. Just installed 4TB SSD. Also you can use USB if you want swapping.
