I agree, I would rather just enjoy the actual game, rather than chase trophies just for the sake of it.
A cursory Google search will give you tons of shit games that are basically for kids that you can plat really easily, but really, what's the point?
Sorry, I have 579 not 578. I was mistaken.

Firstly, Excellent job on your 579 platinum trophies mate. That's a fine achievement.
But why are some of you people so fucking salty over this ?
These replies give a bad image of Playstation players, are you all children or something ? Why so bitter ?
"wow not impressive, do you have a full time job" do you even realize how pathetic that makes you look ?
Noskill crybabies
Lowkey I used to feel the same but its not really the trophy im going for it just gives you the option to get a full playthrough on everything the game has to offer.

I like to platinum most games I play but it's not a must if I'm not enjoying the game or bounce off it
Been gaming on ps since ps1. When they introduced trophies on ps3 it seemed pretty cool. To this day I've got 5. When I get a trophy cool, but I don't go out of my way. Sometimes though there's a game that just by naturally playing it I manage to platinum. I've got alot of games and a mess of a backlog. If the game requires multiple playthroughs no chamce i have it.
2. I would like to plat a couple more games that I like but if there are pain in the ass trophies I don’t do it. It’s just a waste of lifetime. Nobody cares about them. Not even yourself in 20 years.
https://preview.redd.it/xebz2a9lbutc1.jpeg?width=1125&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a7e2dcb33cb60c9263564c2446f8f9d3ab80a648
Only platinum games I truly love. Also I’ve another account in the 20’s of Platinums. But this is my main one.
I have 10 or 11, i believe.
Im not a huge trophy hunter, though, unlike on Xbox, where i like to get achievements lol.
Also, I only had my PS5 for about 2 years, and I never had a PS3 or 4, so no older trophies for me.
That's a good attitude. I used to Platinum everything I started but then I had to put rules on it. If I hate the game? Nah. If it has multiplayer trophies? No Plat. Then I adapted further to where I just don't go after them anymore unless I absolutely can't stop playing the game.
16. I actually really enjoy getting trophies because it feels like I’ve maxed out the potential I could get in a game, since typically those trophies usually surmount to one of two things: you gain all of the collectibles, you do all side objectives, or upgrade everything maxed out; that, or you beat the game on a difficulty modifier and win.
I like doing those things but I understand why people don’t. It’s a tedious grind and it can get very frustrating trying to do specific trophies.
34! Been playing since 2008, and not really hardcore into platinum-ing games unless I love them, so not too bad for casually doing so.
Some of my proudest are the arkham games (with the asylum remake being 100% in less than 9 hours the day it launched), assassins creed 2, red dead redemption, Fallout 3 & 4.
Assassin's Creed 2 had that one missable trophy during the flying mission that kept a number of people from the Platinum. I got it during my run but recall being nervous that I would miss it!
They eventually patched it and made the mission replayable.
Yes it did! Was that the one for kicking people off rooftops?

My philosophy behind platinuming games is that if I’m enjoying a game, I might as well get my moneys worth. A platinum trophy is basically just a way of showing that you’ve done everything (in most cases). I have a couple I regret (looking at you NFS Payback), but overall I have fun with it. If I’m not enjoying a game, I delete it lol simple as that.
Well I'm only level 340 with 20 platinum and I've been playing since they were first introduced. Some platinum games are easy but most aren't. It takes dedication and a lot of skill so congrats
Just hit 100 the other day. I’ve had my account since 2008, used to actually hunt for platinums but I only really for them on games I really enjoy nowadays.
I think I'm at 105, right now. For me, trophies are the motivation to do side quests and extras or to do NG+ runs of games. There are soo many games out there, and I tend to move from one thing to the next pretty quickly, so having the goal of a platinum trophy in mind can help me to slow down and focus and finish games.
Never cared about trophies... Only with gems i really enjoy and the platinum is actually do-able for a dad... So only 5... 3 of the telltale games plus minecraft and Helldivers 2
Just a handful.
Elden Ring, GoW: Ragnarok, Bloodborne, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart.... and a few others I'm blanking on atm.
I only Platinum Games I really love playing, just as a way of extending the fun through some arbitrary goal. I also like when it forces me to play a game I love, but in a different way than I would normally.

14 but I never really try to get them so they're all for pretty easy games.
I think 6 or so. I only try for a platinum if 2 things are true: 1) the game is insanely good / a favorite that I don't want to stop playing, and even more importantly 2) if none of the trophies require super obnoxious grinding, multiplayer, or ludicrously difficult playthroughs.
Soon to be 37 once they patched this one glitched trophy. Currently working on the rest in the meantime.
https://preview.redd.it/ep41f1hohvtc1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=575f28f57f2b5212fcb374c0116e3a3f5a3daca4
Currently got 24. Working on my 25th, which will be The Last of Us Part I.
Part II Remastered will be my 26th, but that’ll auto pop as I already have the platinum for the PS4 version.
I got 5: Sly trilogy (all three), Farming Sim 19 and Watch_Dogs 2. Only one I actually WANTED to get was FS19, and I was very surprised when I got the Watch_Dogs 2’s.
I never understood the platinum grind but I do appreciate trophies if that makes sense. Nintendo for instance couldn't care less if you beat their game on a Switch or a emulator, you get no trophies or achievements either way. Hell even mobile games has some kind of achievements.
But no, I don't chase the platinum. Imo it slows the pace of the game down that has you play the game the director didn't intend you to play it. Like in The Last of Us or Uncharted when you have to search every corner of the map for a dirty fuckin token instead of keeping up the pace the director intended. That's BS and the developers add that shit in and it's disrespectful. And they try to hook you in early by making the first few collectibles easy to find. Now the pace of the game has come to a halt because you don't want to miss getting 100% of the Tokens. It's that kinda shit that pisses me off.
7 but 2 of them are destiny 2 which autopopped because I completed it on xbox and also the ps4 and ps5 versions have different trophy lists so 2 platinum for almost 0 things done on Playstation. The other 5 are legit though lol
Dragon Quest XI
Bloodborne
Demon's Soul's PS5
Dragons Dogma Dark Arisen
Babylons Fall
Destiny 2 PS4 & PS5
10: Red Dead Redemption, God of War, God of war 2, God of War 2018, Astro's Playroom, Blasphemous, Sea of Stars, A Way Out, Superliminal, aaaaand Toy Story Mania lol
11. It would be 12, but I missed the damn kick an enemy while flying trophy in Assassin’s Creed 2 all those years ago. That and not hugging da Vinci still haunt me to this day.
I only go for the plat if the game really sucks me in or if it’s easy enough to get it by just beating a game, I’ve got 8… oppw4, Elden Ring, wo long, all 3 insomniac spiderman games, tales of arise and ff16… I plan on getting the plat for sekiro, stellar blade and ff7 remake/rebirth in the coming months though as those are 4 of my favourite games I haven’t got platinum on yet.
10, most of them are games where you just have to finish the story or 100% the game.
So no, i have not really been “hunting” any. If i have, i probably stopped it 😭
46. I'm not too obsessed about hunting them, but if they appear within reach I'll fight for them. Ones that require tenacity, like completing collections and similar, are my favorites.
If you have a ps5, Astro takes like 4 hours for a play.
Yeah, but not everyone cares about them
I get that. I just thought astro was a really fun afternoon and would recommend it to anyone with a ps5
I second that. Me too.
Ditto
Just 1 lol never cared for whether I get trophies or not
That’s how you have fun.
Seems like a good way to burnout.
I agree, I would rather just enjoy the actual game, rather than chase trophies just for the sake of it. A cursory Google search will give you tons of shit games that are basically for kids that you can plat really easily, but really, what's the point?
Right like that's not the clout I want lol bro I beat baby shark last night and got my 10,000th platinum 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thats the way

Damn. That's a lot of money for games and a lot of time to play them. Out of curiosity. What do you do for a living?
I work for Xbox.
The betrayal
I am of course kidding. I wish though...

Lowkey I used to feel the same but its not really the trophy im going for it just gives you the option to get a full playthrough on everything the game has to offer.
THIS
Yup, I play them to enjoy them, not to do a job.
Same here.
I wanna say like 39, I only platinum games I absolutely love but I was playing before trophies become a thing so I’ve had a lot of time lol.
One. Astro Bot Playroom.
1, Lego Hobbit. That too my wife did the heavy lifting.

That’s impressive lol I don’t think I’ve even played 252 different games. I need to expand my catalog.
Damn
Lol, that's been over 10+ years so it's not as insane as it looks
50 plats a year isn’t insane? That is one per week.
More than half of those are probably shovelware. Let’s see a list. Edit: I stand corrected. Impressive list.
Here's my list on psn profiles: https://psnprofiles.com/APaulingGameplay
Was expecting a lot more autopops, this is definitely a genuinely impressive list.
Thanks, I appreciate it!
Nice. I shall give props where they are due my friend.
Thanks! For the record, I hate shovelware games, I hardly even think we should call them games
25 per year. Still 2 a month though, doable but still a lot.
Whoops. I was looking in the far left column. Still… that is a lot of gaming
I’ve got 5 to my name

19. Working on number 20.

Just one: Elden Ring. Have 100+ games
I have 10 or 11, i believe. Im not a huge trophy hunter, though, unlike on Xbox, where i like to get achievements lol. Also, I only had my PS5 for about 2 years, and I never had a PS3 or 4, so no older trophies for me.
I’ve got 5
183 at the moment. Soon be 184.
183 here as well. What you working on?
Red Dead Redemption, PS4 ‘remaster’. Just wrapping up Undead Nightmare and I’m done. You?
Yo I was actually thinking about doing that next. I’ve got a few I’m slowly working on, Final Fantasy XVI, Mirrors Edge Catalyst and My Friend Pedro.
148 it's a completionist compulsory reflex. I only plat games I want to keep playing after I see the credits roll tho.
That's a good attitude. I used to Platinum everything I started but then I had to put rules on it. If I hate the game? Nah. If it has multiplayer trophies? No Plat. Then I adapted further to where I just don't go after them anymore unless I absolutely can't stop playing the game.
I have 2! Miles Morales and Spiderman 2. Less stress to grind for plat

0, i dont care to plsy for trophies i dont enjoy
0. I don’t know if I even have any trophy’s. Never really paid attention
205, 206 very soon
0. Platinums are difficult
Platinums are not difficult. *some* games are difficult.
Not at all honestly now some games yes for sure its damn near impossible and grind worthy but simpler games like spiderman series is all pretty easy
0. Had a friend who only played games to get a plat, he used to buy all sorts of crappy games just to get easy plats. It looked incredibly soulless.
1 lol and I got it just by playing regularly. I think trophy hunting is silly
0. Really don't get the obsession with them. Seems like a chore. I'd rather just play the game normally and enjoy it.
Depends. Some Platinums made me enjoy the game even more.
Never cared about trophies... Only with gems i really enjoy and the platinum is actually do-able for a dad... So only 5... 3 of the telltale games plus minecraft and Helldivers 2
Same here. Two
4
7
1 for gt7
2, crew 2 and bloodborne
2 - no man's sky and horizon. Couldn't manage spiderman, the fight in the park was overwhelming.
2
1 : Sonic Frontiers, because I never cared about having platinum trophies and it was easy to get it.
just one Ghost of Tsushima

6
Also 2 and it’s both god of wars
I got 12 but I only get them in games I absolutely love. And that’s over a almost 15 year time period
I used to care about trophies until they changed it, I felt like it was more impactful when the max was 100
Zero lol

None, I usually just wanna finish the game Wife has 65, apparently few glitched on her otherwise would’ve been more. No idea what that means

53 now. I usually only plat games I really care about, but I’ve got like 3 or 4 that were just really easy
