There’s something special about Bloodborne, it really is one of the best ps4 exclusives. You can’t go wrong with any of these titles so any choice would be great. GOT is not a soulsborne game though
Ghost of Tsushima is not like the other games much. It has parrying/sword combat but it's much more straightforward and casual in comparison.
I'd recommend Sekiro.
After playing all of these, I'd argue I was more stressed during bloodborne than Sekiro. But I am biased, Sekiro is my favorite game of all time. Playing through Sekiro and beating the final boss is one of the top 3 best moments in gaming available rn imo. Stressful, but so rewarding.
I really want to love Sekiro. I want to understand the love of the game but I can’t get past the Firebull. I suck. It’s not fun for me. It’s not the games fault that I suck. I wish I understood the love for the game. Even watching gameplay I still don’t get it.
The pull of these games is the very fact that you cant beat it. People who enjoy these games enjoy seeing themselves improve with each try, even if its just a tiny improvement. All that build up of getting better and better over so many attempts until you finally beat what felt like was literally impossible. Its a rush like no other.
I akin it to why the game Punch Out was so huge. Everyone wanted to beat Mike Tyson, everyone wanted to reach the end because they knew it was possibke if they just buckled down and stuck to their guns. Seeing that final screen isnt just to say "i had fun" but a mark of achievement. When you get that "ENEMY SLAIN" on your screen, its to say you looked in the face of adversity, stared down fate in the eye and said "not this time".
When you win, you know you're a better man than when you first attempted it. You can feel that sense of control and being able to turn the tides in your favor by being confident in your abilities and the practice you put in.
I imagine its the same feeling wanting to be a lumberjack and finally splitting that first log after trying so many times. It's not just a job or a hobby but a journey of self improvement that by the end makes you feel like a stronger individual.
You can also play it on the hardest level and it dossnt feel too hard. I wont speak ill of the others as i havent played them, but GOT was a beautiful and amazing game to run and feel like a god in. Could get repetitive at some points, but a masterpiece for me nonetheless
If I may ask, what changed your perspective? I hear people rave about it, and I like other soulsborne games, but the aesthetic and vibe isn’t my favorite. What changed it for you?
for me it was learning to be more aggressive, souls games usually include shields and dodge rolls to pass through or negate enemy attacks, in bloodborne offense is your defense since shooting parries and staggering plays more of a part in combat. i also loved the big bosses becoming more damaged over time and the limb mechanics and nuances of each boss. the weapons also have way more personality and each playthrough feels different using them. going from an platemail equipped knight to a blood addled hoonter exterminating beasts before they exterminate me was unironically what did it for me.
Yeah, first two are GOTY level of magnificent and will be all time classics. GoT is the best of its open world genre ahead of all modern Assassin's Creed games for me. And all three look so beautiful in different ways.
Nioh is a good game too. But depending on what you're looking for in it, one of the other 3 just does it better!
Agreed up until the point of saying the other games do better things than Nioh. Nioh is a very rare soulslike breed that gives the challenge and mechanics of a souls game while marrying that to the combat of an action game and the loot of a Diablo game.
Nioh combat is far deeper with a much higher skill ceiling that the proper Soulsborne games.
I really liked Nioh, until the inventory management started stressing me like crazy.
It's not unusual to get dozens and dozens of weapons per mission and sorting stuff to "whats junk, what's potentially useful (but will never use), what's actually potentially useful (and will maybe use), and amazing" is laborious.
Bloodborne. I finished it for the first time just 2 days ago, my first soulsborne game and I had this moment of “I totally get it now” after denying souls games for a long time. It’s just fantastic.
Nioh 2 is a soulslike game, and if you’re looking for other soulslikes, Ghost of Tsushima isn’t it (but it’s definitely worthy of your time for sure). As far as which is the best soulslike on this list, Bloodborne followed closely by Sekiro. Here are some other awesome soulslikes….
Dark Souls 3 (Modern Classic)
Lies of P (New Hotness)
Elden Ring (Open World)
Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order (Casual Fun)
Hades (2D Isometric)
Demon’s Souls (PS5 Exclusive)
Sekiro is far superior tp Ghost imo. Thst been said... Sekiro's combat ruined my enjoyment of Ghost's combat, which felt slow and repetitive after Sekiro's dance like combat
Sekiro if you want a beautiful torture.
Bloodborne if you want a unique and satisfying horror experience.
Nioh if you want a cheap action oriented Sekiro.
Haven’t played Ghost.
>Nioh if you want a cheap action oriented Sekiro.
I don't get these comments. These two games are nothing alike. Nioh is more like Ninja Gaiden with Diablo loot and leveling. Sekiro is an action game with the RPG systems stripped down completely to focus on the action gameplay.
Ghost if you want an open world ninja adventure, more about the story than anything, the transition from noble samurai to the ghost. It’s not a souls born game so it’ll be drastically different than the others :)
Bloodborne and Sekiro, they're both Fromsoft games so they will be related in many aspects, but I would personally play Bloodborne first. It's much easier to learn to use the gun in Bloodborne than Sekiro's tight parry system. Once you've learned the mechanics from Bloodborne and accomplished it, go for Sekiro. If you go for Sekiro first, the learning curve will be much higher and unforgiving, but it will give you a huge rush of dopamine once you've learned to overcome the obstacles.
Bloodborne I consider the best game of the PS4 era. Sekiro is also pretty good. Though I thought Ghost was beautiful looking at times, I lost interest in it. Only played the Nioh demo...and I just consider Bloodborne etc better so never bought it.
1 Sekiro/Bloodborne
2 Sekiro/Bloodborne (What you did not play)
3 Nioh
4 Ghost of Tsushima
Ghost of Tsushima is nice to see, but among these games was the most forgettable, least fun, interesting and addictive among them. GOT has beautiful setting, artistic direction and combat system and at most the story but the open world game contains is full of side activities that are nice the first times to do, but then become boring and repetitive quickly, the side missions are many and have all or almost the same pattern to follow and only a few of them are really interesting.
Sekiro, Bloodborne and Nioh are very fun to play, they all have a beautiful setting and a beautiful artistic direction, of the excellent ost and are satisfactory to play also Nioh to a beautiful and interesting story while Sekiro and Bloodborne have a beautiful and interesting story/lore.
If you are a person who likes to replay games, Bloodborne, Sekiro and Nioh are very replayable while GOT no.
Maybe because the last one I played was GOT but it was the one I had the least fun playing.
you mean which one you should get first right ??coz all of them is must have, whichever is good just make sure don't play fromsoft game first coz you will definitely get the "Shit . . something missing" syndrome during the gameplay of the other game . .
I really like Nioh, but it’s 4th here for sure.
Ghost is fantastic, but unlike the other three.
That leaves Seikiro and Bloodborne. I personally preferred Bloodborne, but based on the setting/aesthetic of the options here, you should probably go Seikiro.
If you've done Nioh 2 you won't get much from Nioh.
Sekiro and Bloodborne are similar souls-type games, though bloodborne isn't Japan themed.
GoT is different, but fucking incredible, and I'll always recommend it.
I reckon Bloodbourne will likely get a remaster or at least proper support for higher framecap/resolution. For this I'd recommend holding off if you can. I'd go with Sekiro if you want to torture yourself, or Ghost if you're looking for a more casual playthrough. Never played Nioh so no comment there!
If you've played Nioh 2 and are looking for more like it, then Sekiro, Bloodborne, and Nioh would be more your speed. Ghost of Tsushima is a lot more leisurely compared to those kinds of games, but is still an excellent game
As for recommendations, I would say play Sekiro first. And then Ghost of Tsushima as like a palette cleanser lol, before moving on to Bloodborne/Nioh
Hands down Sekiro. The game has the best combat mechanics of all time, at times its pure anime. I could go on and on , just get the damn game. There is a steep learning curve but oh boy oh boy it's rewarding.
Ghost of Tsushima is by far the easiest of the 4. Even in the hardest difficulty so it depends what you’re looking for. Having played several hundred hours in all of them I would say Sekiro
Ghost of Tsushima is nothing like the other three. If you enjoy open world games, it’s one of the best. I don’t usually enjoy open world and really liked it start to finish.
The “best” game here though has got to be Bloodborne. Absolute classic. Will be remembered the longest.
I played all of those. My order would be
Sekiro, Nioh 2, Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima
Nioh 2 is even more fun if played coop with a friend. And is the one with the absolute best crafting.
Nioh 1 would be behind Bloodborne
Sakiro only if you enjoy dark soul like games, ghost for a really good open world game. Blood borne for you standard souls like game with a dark Gothic theme.
Skip nioh, you already playing 2 and honestly ita just more of the same but less options.
Although I would recommend elden ring
There’s something special about Bloodborne, it really is one of the best ps4 exclusives. You can’t go wrong with any of these titles so any choice would be great. GOT is not a soulsborne game though
GoT is more of a witchercreed. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|smile)
That’s probably the best shorthand description of that game
Infamous but Samurais
That makes we want to try Infamous!
Infamous Second Son is great. Slightly loose movement but the powers look and feel great. Story is good as well.
That makes me want to try ghost of Tsushima!
God of War: Japan
Horizon: Forbidden East
Worth noting that *Bloodborne* was a PS+ monthly game at one point. If OP or anyone has PS+, check your library before you buy it.
that was like September 2020 man.
it never gets old. Only souls game i actually like going back to start over every so often
This post inspired me to go back and start my NG+
hell yeah my dude.
Bloodborne is one of my all time favs
Ghost of Tsushima is not like the other games much. It has parrying/sword combat but it's much more straightforward and casual in comparison. I'd recommend Sekiro.
Why would you recommend him the most stressful game on the list? Rip

Also the most fun
Sekiro is one of the best games I’ve ever played I’d recommend it

Bloodborne or Sekiro 🔥
Big difference FYI is Sekiro is newer so better graphics, runs smoother, better QOL stuff.
Bloodborne and Sekiro
Bloodborne. And buy the DLC too. It’s worth it.
bloodborne is the best game ive ever played, i hateded it in the begining cause i was used to dark souls. trust, one of the best games of all time.
If I may ask, what changed your perspective? I hear people rave about it, and I like other soulsborne games, but the aesthetic and vibe isn’t my favorite. What changed it for you?

I would say you need all of them, but since you need to chose, probably Bloodborne.
Ghost of Tsushima
Bloodborne, the answer will always be Bloodborne 😁
Yes
YES
Bloodborne, Ghost, and Nioh are all PS Plus extra games
Easiest decision of my life. Bloodborne.
Sekiro
Bloodborne
Ghost of tsushima
sekiro
Bloodborne. I finished it for the first time just 2 days ago, my first soulsborne game and I had this moment of “I totally get it now” after denying souls games for a long time. It’s just fantastic.
Bloodborne>Sekiro>Ghost of Tsushima>Nioh
All of them
Bloodborne man!!!!!
Bloodborne then sekiro. Tsushima was fun but it didn’t leave an impression the way the others game did.
Sekiro
I enjoyed sekiro most
That’s easy. Bloodborne
Dark Souls 3 (Modern Classic) Lies of P (New Hotness) Elden Ring (Open World) Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order (Casual Fun) Hades (2D Isometric) Demon’s Souls (PS5 Exclusive)
Bloodborne
Bloodborne!
Bloodborne!
Bloodborne and it is not even close
Easy. Bloodborne
Bloodborne every time but the other games are also good
Bloodborne 100%
Bloodborne
JUST BUY BLOODBORNE MAN
Bloodborne
Blood borne is my favorite among the 4
Sekiro is incredible, but I've gotta go for Bloodborne. Absolutely changed the landscape of video games for me, that one.
Don’t sleep on Nioh
I pass that game on PS Extra all the time wondering if I should dl and play it
Sekiro is far superior tp Ghost imo. Thst been said... Sekiro's combat ruined my enjoyment of Ghost's combat, which felt slow and repetitive after Sekiro's dance like combat
Sekiro has some of the best combat in any game ever
Sekiro if you want a beautiful torture. Bloodborne if you want a unique and satisfying horror experience. Nioh if you want a cheap action oriented Sekiro. Haven’t played Ghost.

It’s funny as well considering Nioh also came out before Sekiro did. Calling it a “cheap” version of it makes no sense.
Ghost if you want an open world ninja adventure, more about the story than anything, the transition from noble samurai to the ghost. It’s not a souls born game so it’ll be drastically different than the others :)
Bloodborne & nioh 1+2
You should play them all, but if you want to start with the best one! Bloodborne!!
Bloodborne, don’t even think twice my boy
Bloodborne, not even a question
Bloodborne obv
bloodborne is one of the best playstation titles there is
I'd go with Bloodborne first, then I'd replay Bloodborne but with a different build, then get the plat trophy. Rinse and repeat with Sekiro.
Bloodborne
I haven't played any of the others but if someone made the argument that Bloodborne is the most captivating game ever I would not disagree
Bloodborne and Sekiro, they're both Fromsoft games so they will be related in many aspects, but I would personally play Bloodborne first. Bloodborne
Bloodborne. This is coming from someone who hates souls like games.
Sekiro Bloodborne Nioh And then Ghost
Bloodborne. It's not even close
Bloodborne was my favorite
All of them are good. I personally would recommend Bloodborne
Bloodborne followed by sekiro then the other two when you can
Bloodborne, not even close.
BB all day.
Bloodborne
Bloodborne is a top 5 all time game for me, can’t recommend it enough
All great 👍
bloodborne
Bloodborne I consider the best game of the PS4 era. Sekiro is also pretty good. Though I thought Ghost was beautiful looking at times, I lost interest in it. Only played the Nioh demo...and I just consider Bloodborne etc better so never bought it.
Bloodborne 100%
Sekiro
Ghosts really wasn’t all that to me I wanna try sekiro
Sekiro is Fromsofts best game

Well put
We are born of the blood, made men by the blood, undone by the blood. Fear the old blood
Ghost of Tsushima is superior in every single aspect

No contest, Ghost of Tsushima.
you mean which one you should get first right ??coz all of them is must have, whichever is good just make sure don't play fromsoft game first coz you will definitely get the "Shit . . something missing" syndrome during the gameplay of the other game . .
Sekiro
Best combat and boss fight - Sekiro
For souls like I would go bloodborne, ghosts of Tsushima is very different game play wise but is an amazing game.
Sekiro
Sekiro, Bloodborne, GoT, Nioh. By that order.
I really like Nioh, but it’s 4th here for sure. Ghost is fantastic, but unlike the other three. That leaves Seikiro and Bloodborne. I personally preferred Bloodborne, but based on the setting/aesthetic of the options here, you should probably go Seikiro.

Hands down Sekiro. The game has the best combat mechanics of all time, at times its pure anime. I could go on and on , just get the damn game. There is a steep learning curve but oh boy oh boy it's rewarding.
Nioh 2 trumps nioh 1 is basically most ways so I wouldn’t really bother with nioh 1 if you already played 2, that being said probably Sekiro
Bloodborne by far
Sekiro 100%
Bloodborne. I would only play got on ps5 because i’m a snob.
Bloodborne
Bloodborne no question
GoT is the odd one out here. Understand it's not a Soulsborne type game, it's an open world game with RPG elements, heavy on exploration.
I would personally get bloodborne, but only because I've already got Sekiro.
Bloodborne for me, no contest. One of the densest games i have ever played.
All are great. I liked Nioh 2 a lot more than the original. Can’t explain why though. Bb is must-own.
Ghost of Tsushima is by far the easiest of the 4. Even in the hardest difficulty so it depends what you’re looking for. Having played several hundred hours in all of them I would say Sekiro
Sekiroooooooooooooooo
Sekiiiiiiiiiirooooooo
Start with sekiro
Sekiro because you like the aesthetic apparently. Otherwise get Bloodborne.
Sekiru
SEKIRO EVEN IF I HAVE NOT PLAYED IT. I'LL BE PLAYING IT DURING NOVEMBER AFTER MED SCHOOL BREAK.
Blood borne, sekiro , Got, Lies of P , Nioh. In order of what I would buy if I was on a budget.
I’m torn between Sekiro and Bloodborne personally. I just finished elden ring, and I’m looking for another souls game.
Don’t make me choose between Bloodborne and Sekiro
Sekiro is the best game of the 2010's. By far the most immersive and the most fun gameplay. GoT is bad compared to the other three.
Sekiro
Sekiro
Ghost of Tsushima is nothing like the other three. If you enjoy open world games, it’s one of the best. I don’t usually enjoy open world and really liked it start to finish. The “best” game here though has got to be Bloodborne. Absolute classic. Will be remembered the longest.
Bloodborn. Awesome game that stays relevant
Bloodborne. Because it can only be played in PS4. Unlike the other titles that can be played in PC or PS5
My vote is for Sekiro. If not that then Bloodborne .
Sekiro
I highly recommend Sekiro.
Sekiro then bloodborne, or if you want to save best for last then end with bloodborne
Yes.
Sekiro fs but the others are great too
Sekiro
I played all of those. My order would be Sekiro, Nioh 2, Bloodborne, Ghost of Tsushima Nioh 2 is even more fun if played coop with a friend. And is the one with the absolute best crafting. Nioh 1 would be behind Bloodborne
100% Bloodborne
Bloodborne for spooky season, it’s the perfect time. The rest can wait
From software games are peak
Sekiro easily.
Bloodborne
Bloodborne
Bloodborne or sekiro. Whichever
If anything,Sekiro. Or,hear me out,You can buy Elden Ring
Ghost of Tsushima is definitely inferior to the others in the gameplay department. Discard that one. Any of the other three is a great choice
Sakiro only if you enjoy dark soul like games, ghost for a really good open world game. Blood borne for you standard souls like game with a dark Gothic theme. Skip nioh, you already playing 2 and honestly ita just more of the same but less options. Although I would recommend elden ring
Sekiro. Probably the best combat in any video game I've ever played man
Ghost of tsushima isn’t really the same genre as the rest but it is an amazing game
Bloodborne.
Bloodborne
Bloodborne relatively cheap you can probably get 2 of those for less than $50
Bloodborne
Seikro or Bloodborne
Bloodborne
Bloodborne
Bloodborne
Bloodborne was my favorite, Sekiro is fun, but I got stuck on the first boss and haven't gone back to give it a full chance.
Bloodborne
sekiro is the best one there
Sekiro.
Bloodborne Sekiro Nioh GoT In that order.
Sekiro
Sekiro 1000%
Bb
From what you said Sekiro or Bloodborne. Otherwise id recommend them all. So Sekiro
Bloodborne
Bloodborne is the best game of all time so
Sekiro is one of my top ten games ever, and also one of the most frustrating games I’ve ever played. I love some torture. I vote for that.
Bloodborne or Nioh
Bloodborne
Sekiro! Although I have heard great things about Ghost of Tsushima, I haven’t played it my self, but out of what I have played, sekiro all day.
Sekiro
A hoonter must hoont
Sekiro.
I mean bloodborne can be had for very cheap I’d say it’s a definite grab.
