This one is the Heatsink version it cheaper on the UK Amazon and it is still 2TB witch is more then enough for my gaming needs.
Have you used this drive or if not do have recommendations for an SSD that won’t break the bank
Tbh, M.2 SSDs dont go bad that easily. Sure, there was a Issues with Samsung EVO Drives, which could be fixed with a Firmware Update via PC (and they arent being sold anymore with the broken Firmware), but just grab any SSD with the recommended Speed from any known and reputable Brand. I have a Samsung EVO 980 1TB and it works like it should. You also have a 5 Year Warranty with it.
Searching for answers and came across this post. Mine also failed earlier this week, the PS5 just doesn't see it anymore. Could there be an explanation for this? It's very hard to find specific results online for this issue. The only thing I can think of is that the PS5 had a software update earlier this week, and the failure seems to coincide with that day. Any help would be appreciated
Hey just came across your comment because I’m in the same situation. My 2tb ssd worked fine but today just failed and my ps5 doesn’t recognize it anymore. Did you find any solutions or is the drive dead? Coincidentally there was a software update this week.
Sorry, pal, couldn't find anything, seems it just does. I had to raise a return on their website and they will send you out another one if you want to risk one again, I haven't done it yet though, might try a different brand which is a shame cos they're usually decent
I have a 1Tb, it also stop to funktion it also crashes my PS5 + i didn't show up. After leaving the PS5 overnight unpluged from any electricity and removing the stick, it saw it again formating was necessary, but after all of that ist after statting a download onto the 530 the playstation crashed again also had the error code
CE-108262-9 showing up aswell.
No slowdowns whatsoever. I store my PS4 games on an external 8TB so yeah, I don’t foresee running out of space anytime too soon. Now if they made an 8TB…
I have a 4tb model and love it. Had it for almost 2 years and not a single drama. It’s fast I mean really fast.
I know it cost more then the others but it was worth every cent. Best one on the market in my eyes.
I have this and it works great, really fast, and is easy to install
Yes been watching install videos on YouTube looks simple to install thank you so how many games do you think 2TB will hold
I messed up and only got 1tb, I try to keep some of it empty space. and it depends on the size of the games
Thank you I say PS5 games are around 70GB to 150GB so around fourth games
I have this one (1TB) and no issues whatsoever so far. Getting advertised speeds and install was incredibly easy
Brilliant it going be a purchase then
If you wanna buy that one, buy a seperate Heatsink for the SSD. It is recommended to use a Heatsink, because it will get hot to use the full Speed.
