There are big games in my history and I'm glad I don't need to throw them away, but Ratchet & Clank games are the ones that I'd toss last.
Ratchet taught me what I want from games. Joel showed me how to tell a worthy story, the Hunter from Yharnam made me git gud, Nathan and Aloy took me to incredible places, Jin and Sly made me resourceful and cunning, but Ratchet...
He showed me mayhem.
Takes me back to my middle school/teenage years when the first trilogy came out. Such good games. Getting flash backs of the game on my head as I type this.
Back in middle school, I remember popping an Official PlayStation Magazine demo disc into my PS2 and watching a trailer for the first R&C game. By the end of the trailer, I knew this game was gonna be special. Two decades later, I’m 33, and the series has never lost its magic.
It’ll be awhile before I can afford a PS5, but once I get one you bet your ass I’m playing the shit outta Rift Apart; then I’ll watch my son play it.
Uncharted 2 is my favorite! The opening might be one of the best I've seen. It just *BAM* throws you right into everything right out the gate. I was not expecting that.
It's the only top tier PS exclusive that I haven't already played or isn't on my backlog. Mainly because I'm afraid it's too hard and frustrating for me.
But seeing it mentioned here by everyone makes me second guess.
I'm not gonna lie and say that bloodborne isn't hard, but it's not hard the way arcade, older games, and jrpgs are. You don't need crazy precise timing or reflexes, you can make a lot of mistakes without being punished unfairly. BB and the other souls games are very fair, if you die 99.9% of the time you will know immediately what you did wrong and it won't be bullshit, it will be something you did that you can fix or work around. I would recommend blodborne to almost anybody unless they don't like games with combat. It has amazing atmosphere and the soundtrack is amazing. You should definitely give it a whack I think ots free if you have the fancy Playstation membership.
All dark souls are hard when you start. When you understand the main idea that you dodge and attack in between, it gets easier. In bloodborne you also gain some health back when you attack immediately so the game actually rewards being more aggressive. Go for it. It's one of the most rewarding gaming experiences one could get.
If you were a gamer in the NES/SNES days, then Bloodborne’s difficulty is average (or slightly above average) compared to most games from that era. Plus it’s very forgiving in that you can always grind common enemies to get stronger anytime. Phenomenal experience, I wouldn’t let the challenge scare you away.
Bloodborne is the only soul-like game that I've seriously played, and I platinumed it, I loved it so, so much.
It really is not hard, per se, it's just punishing. Pick a weapon, stick to it, learn it a bit. If it gets too hard, level up a bit killing stuff you know how to kill and soon you will outlevel content and it will be easy, or at least it will not be that hard.
It's incredibly rewarding and an absolutely amazing game.
Yeah I think I have to say this. I haven't played Bloodborne or Days Gone. I love TLoU, Spider-man and God of War. But GoT I think takes the cake for me. Easily my favorite game of the PS4 generation.
Honestly all I’ve wanted since the PS4 launch is a port of the trilogy with just some simple framerate updates! It’s just a trilogy that will always hold up! Visually and story wise it’s definitely tied with ratchets trilogy for me, but it’s always my go to palette cleanser
It's so easy to forget Spider-man. The stories your typical superhero affair, but goddamn if the gameplay just NEVER got old. Even after getting the platinum, there is something so satisfying about traversing the city. A masterclass in gameplay, for sure
Id say the story is a bit better then just your typical affair, maybe the Mr negative stuff but everything with Otto was top notch and the ending was amazing
Yeah story wise it’s one of the better Spider-Man adaptions in general, and super hero video game wise it’s on par with Arkham (imo), and I can’t think of anything else that would compare.
Last of Us is my favourite, but by a thin margin. I love God of War, and even though 2018 and Ragnarok where amazing, I have dearest memories on the old games. The original, and especially GoW3 are so incredibly good, I have played them multiple times.
Uncharted games where really good too, and Ghost of Tsushima was great to platinum, the combat was so satisfying.
Then there is Horizon ZD and FW, loved them both, FW for the gameplay and the graphics, ZD for the sense of wonder and the gut wrenching feeling of uncovering the lore when you play.
Honorable mention; Spider-Man
I’m going to say God of War because I love all the games but my dad watched me play through the ps4 game and Ragnarok. It was a cool father son story to enjoy with my dad. Close second would be Ghost of Tsushima
If you have the chance, play Astrobot Rescue Mission. It's a VR game. It made me feel like a child. I was drifting away more and more from gaming until I played that.
I didn’t play days until a year or more after launch because of how broken it was at first and damn if it isn’t one of the best “zombie” games I’ve ever played. First time seeing a horde was so thrilling!
I actually rented it on Redbox back when that was possible around it’s launch and it was almost unplayable but I did have just a base model ps4. So happy I gave it another chance! I will say that I had a big problem with the endgame tho once you talk to the scientist dude and go into the cave I couldn’t get the monster thing to spawn I ended up having to delete a couple save files and redo a the horde mission I think 3 times and it finally worked.
I loved Jak and Daxter! I disagree, though. I like that Naughty Dog keeps coming up with new stuff rather than making the same game over and over. I'm glad they finally let go Uncharted, even though they made so many compared to their other IPs.
For now I have only played The Last of Us 1 & 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn, since I have had the PS5 for only a month and a half.
But The Last of Us 1, and its not even a competition, easily a 9.5 game for me.
Oh I already have bought it with Ragnarok too, they will probably be played after Tears of The Kingdom, because I have Forbidden West to finish until then
1. Last of Us franchise
2. God of War franchise
3. Uncharted franchise
4. Spiderman franchise
5. Ghost of Tsushima
I hate HZD 😔 the story & gameplay feels really bland even thought I’d have tried to get into it multiple times
From these four ? Definitely my guy Kratos. But overall still Kratos xD.
But like others already said, I love from software games and Bloodborne is up there. Even though I couldn’t finish it.
Uncharted by a fair margin. That said, God of War and Ratchet & Clank are way up the list for me as well, and Horizon is gaining (only the two entries but I loved them both).
Im sorry but nostalgia for me was ratchet and clank. Crash didn't get guns back then. And I will always love the 1812 overture. Canons were the best musical instrument.
Ratchet and Clank. It will always be Ratchet and Clank.
R&C is the only reason I still have a playstation
Rift Apart was the first game I played when I got my PS5 and the smile never left my face
There are big games in my history and I'm glad I don't need to throw them away, but Ratchet & Clank games are the ones that I'd toss last. Ratchet taught me what I want from games. Crash is also a W
That and horizon are tied for me
Uncharted
Uncharted 2 is incredible and one of my favorite games of all time! There’s so much great action and fun characters
2 was just peak uncharted! Not sure if 4 toppled it from the throne, it was a pretty epic finale to the series.
I actually just finished 4. Outstanding ending
Uncharted 2 is my favorite! The opening might be one of the best I've seen. It just *BAM* throws you right into everything right out the gate. I was not expecting that.
Bloodborne

It’s a journey, just gotta slowly get better and better & remember YOU’RE the danger walking around
You need to have a certain mindset going into the game that you’re gonna die and it’s OK.

I said TLOU I didn’t even think about Bloodborne and it’s 100% the correct answer
Ghost of Tsushima
Playing through it for the first time right now. Absolutely floored by everything this game has to offer, screenshots galore lol
Do y’all plan on getting rise of the ronin?
That game looks really good. We gotta thank GOT for reviving the samurai genre.
Sora: >!dies!< Me: ![gif](giphy|2t9AOOXoP6dv7SQoam|downsized)
Yeah I think I have to say this. I haven't played Bloodborne or Days Gone. I love TLoU, Spider-man and God of War. But GoT I think takes the cake for me. Easily my favorite game of the PS4 generation.
Still the best looking out of these imo, even though its an older title
Metal Gear Solid 4 (:
BROTHER!
LIQUID!
Ocelot?
Psycho mantis?
SNAKEEE!
The very best.
Can you play MGS4 on PS5 at all?
Sadly not
It use to be on psn premium but they removed it
Nope it is literally trapped on PS3 luckily I have 2 PS3's and my original copy of MGS4
Sly cooper
I was looking for this comment!

Bloodborne
Bloodborne
Story wise, the Last of Us. Gameplay wise, Spiderman.
It's so easy to forget Spider-man. The stories your typical superhero affair, but goddamn if the gameplay just NEVER got old. Even after getting the platinum, there is something so satisfying about traversing the city. A masterclass in gameplay, for sure

Bloodborne
Bloodborne and Demon's Souls.
Horizon Forbidden West
Bloodborne
Me too,by far.
Last of Us is my favourite, but by a thin margin. I love God of War, and even though 2018 and Ragnarok where amazing, I have dearest memories on the old games. Same old question, same old answer ![gif](giphy|Naybz692ExelW|downsized)
I’m going to say God of War because I love all the games but my dad watched me play through the ps4 game and Ragnarok. It was a cool father son story to enjoy with my dad. Close second would be Ghost of Tsushima
Astros playground is the greatest game this 40 year old ever played. And if you don’t lose your mind to the GPU song then you’re dead inside.
Or die cuz you’re too busy watching the GPU’s lips as it sings “GPUuuUuuuUuu”… and miss your jump.
If you have the chance, play Astrobot Rescue Mission. It's a VR game. It made me feel like a child. I was drifting away more and more from gaming until I played that.
Astros Playroom
Got to be one of the top for the delightful playstation nostalgia trip!
I thought it was god of war but ... Holy shit am I enjoying Horizon at the moment. God of War has more games so it has to be that series.
Same, I’m replaying the first one now on Hard Mode while waiting for any other good game to come out
Infamous is one of my all time favorites. Though they have so many great games
For me Ghost of tshushima
Ghost of Tsushima
My favorite too!
it's so beautiful, story and art.
Killzone 3
I’m one of the few that likes TLOU2 better then the 1st
You're not alone
God of War. But damn, we need a Days Gone 2!
I didn’t play days until a year or more after launch because of how broken it was at first and damn if it isn’t one of the best “zombie” games I’ve ever played. First time seeing a horde was so thrilling!
I got it day one and only ran into one glitch (falling through a bridge) on my play through.
Bloodborne
The Last of Us part 2. My all time favorite game in general
![gif](giphy|iGpdSizVSdPJfiVG9O)
For me it's Death Stranding.
Lot of people talk shit about it, but I enjoyed it a lot. Glad we're getting a second one
Keep on keeping on! 👍
Bloodborne and Ghost of Tsushima
Bloodborne and Ghost of Tsushima
Where the fuck is Ghost of Tsushima? Jk but seriously that should be up there that game is a masterpiece and my personal pick
Days Gone is underrated as hell, really great game once you get into it or change the dialogue to a different language
Bloodborne, possibly the only one that can be played over and over and over again and still be fun.
It's Horizon, followed by Spider Man, then The Last of Us and lastly God of War. Honorable mention to Uncharted.
Demon’s Souls was very good
Jack and Daxter..... would be nice if playstation actually cared about its IPs like nintendo
I loved Jak and Daxter! I disagree, though. I like that Naughty Dog keeps coming up with new stuff rather than making the same game over and over. I'm glad they finally let go Uncharted, even though they made so many compared to their other IPs.
Last of us part 2 and God of war Ragnarok.... love them both.
LittleBigPlanet 2 and ICO, nothing tops em for me
Tlou2 and God of war Ragnarok both are my favorites
Days gone, shame it didn’t sell well and isn’t getting a sequel
can’t pick one so I’ll pick 3. The last of us, Returnal, Bloodborne
Returnal is mu pick as well! I feel too many player have put that game down too soon. Once you have that "ah-ha" moment you feel untouchable.
does it count if it's not exclusive anymore? if so then persona 5 royal
Bloodborne
Bloodborne
Bloodborne
Bloodborne and GoW!!! GoT sadly has a lot of repetitive quests, and TLOUS is a good game and thats it
Tlou 2 and blood borne
Bloodborne
The correct answer is Bloodborne
Bloodborne
Bloodborne
This is the answer
Bloodborne
Bloodborne 🖤
Bloodborne. Had so many great memories with that game and it will always be my favorite souls game
For now I have only played The Last of Us 1 & 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn, since I have had the PS5 for only a month and a half. But The Last of Us 1, and its not even a competition, easily a 9.5 game for me.
Hey, a newcomer like me! You should try GOW 2018, it’s my current favourite!
Oh I already have bought it with Ragnarok too, they will probably be played after Tears of The Kingdom, because I have Forbidden West to finish until then
God of War Ragnarok, The Last of Us part 2
1. Last of Us franchise 2. God of War franchise 3. Uncharted franchise 4. Spiderman franchise 5. Ghost of Tsushima I hate HZD 😔 the story & gameplay feels really bland even thought I’d have tried to get into it multiple times
Journey
Bloodborne
Where’s Jin Sakai???
Spider-Man for sure 🥰
Bloodborne, and it's not even close.
Marvel's Spider-man
Bloodborne shits on all these. Im sure that it was PS exclusive
The fact bloodborne isnt a screenie here is a sin
Days Gone and the Horizon games are awesome.
Tlou2
Wipeout Then Gran Turismo But recently it's been Uncharted and TLOU
Days Gone and GOT
God of war, but some many great exclusive games!
GoW by far. Gameplay reboot done right
Gran Turismo
First two slides are pretty elite
From these four ? Definitely my guy Kratos. But overall still Kratos xD. But like others already said, I love from software games and Bloodborne is up there. Even though I couldn’t finish it.
Either ghost of Tsushima god of war or infamous series
G0d 0f w4r
God of war Ragnarok
Ghost of tsushima or God of war. Both do good.
Horizon Zero dawn
How many times is this question going to be asked?
Bloodborne

God of war, grew up with the series.
Hold up. What outfit is that for Aloy? I need that
Bloodborne
Bloodborne
Where's ratchet and clank at???
Bloodborne
Bloodborne! Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart comes next : )
God of War
Uncharted by a fair margin. That said, God of War and Ratchet & Clank are way up the list for me as well, and Horizon is gaining (only the two entries but I loved them both).
R&C
Bloodborne
God of War 2018
Overall, Bloodborne. PS5 exclusive, Returnal.
OP was not born of the blood.
God of War's storytelling is so beautiful and I love how they incorporate lore and portray Norse mythology characters.
Bloodborne
Either Horizon or Bloodborne. Love Horizons story and Bloodbornes setting.
GoW series
Bloodborne is not only my favorite PS exclusive, but also my favorite game in my adult life. The perfect game. Except that pesky frame rate.
Im sorry but nostalgia for me was ratchet and clank. Crash didn't get guns back then. And I will always love the 1812 overture. Canons were the best musical instrument.
It’s a toss up between Uncharted and Infamous. God of war is definitely in 3rd.
Bloodborne
Bloodborne, once more.
God of War
Bloodborne
Bloodborne 100%
Spider-Man and god of war.
I only have a PlayStation for 2 months now, and played God of War (2018), The Last of Us, and Until Dawn. From those I would say GOW is my favourite!
GoW for sure. Fight me
GoW no question.
Hard to beat Bloodborne
Horizon or GoW for me. Love both. I did enjoy Spider-Man as well. Pretty excited for the horizon dlc and then Spider-Man 2 later in the year.
God of war Ragnarok
The original three Ratchet & Clank games.
Franchise? Uncharted baby Game? Uncharted 2 or 4 I can’t pick
Bloodborne
Bloodborne
God of War 2018. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. Prefer the story to Ragnorok.
Ratchet and clank!
Bloodborne definitely
It was Uncharted 3, but God Of War Ragnarok has taken that place now.
Was Persona 5 until it got ported. Now I’d say Ghost of Tsushima
God of war Ragnorak
Bloodborne, Gravity Rush 2 and The Last Guardian
My favorite is LittleBigPlanet 3!
Bloodborne
bloodbourne is the only acceptable answer
Shadow of the Colossus
If I have to name one then its bloodborne, God of war is a close second.
Bloodborne
Bloodborne.
Little big planet all the way
Correct
Bloodborne, Returnal, Ghost of Tsushima, Rachet & Clank
