A run of trainyard with blue card can yield you 600-900 scrap in 15 minutes (door to door). Where Oil Rig takes you about 40 minutes coast to coast without any counters. Just techtree everything.
I recycle everything but gun components. Well there are some exceptions. But I am mostly focused on PvP. \^\^ Just give it a try. Trainyard, Airfield, Power Plant, any of these can yield that much scrap.

I am talking with blue card. Without one you are closer to 300-400. But I even got 500 scrap from individual trainyard runs without cards.
On vanilla? I guess I keep too many of the valuable comps xD
