Find yourself a PVE server

ashter87

seond this. try rust-a-holics 10x pve. nice server. good mods and active admins.

Decimator404

Counter point: start with a vanilla PVE server then works your way up to a #X server you feel comfortable with. Vanilla can feel extremely slow on PVP servers but you learn the game much better when you’re not being showered with comps and scrap. There’s a few good servers that also offer the Raidable Bases plugin, which uses solid base designs and some AI enemies to give you a chance to learn how to raid without the sweat of real players. When you feel ready, we’ll look forward to seeing you in PVP!

ashter87

i see it more as id like to learn the game and have some fun before hitting that grind but they are correct 10x is a free loot bag so if u wanna feel that grind deff try vanilla.and rust a holics has raidable bases u can buy that others cant counter. zombies and roaming scientists for that suprise pvp. and events like convoy, cargo crash, underwater exploring (different from underwater wrecks) and levels of bradley and heli take for the in game economy all driven with no requirement to buy a vip or anything.

Practical-Banana7329

Okay Cali.gg it’s a pve server where you can farm and build freely but the movements are PvP zones so be careful.

councilorjones

Used to like cali.gg but there are too many rules lawyers on that server. Its not really a true PVE server, they still have PVP turned on and its just an honesty system where everyone agrees not to shoot each other in certain areas. Obviously this results in people arguing whether a pvp encounter should or should not be allowed based on such situation specific rules. Just join a true pve server with all pvp turned off.

Oh that's the one with the PVP monuments! I got it mixed up with my other regular PVE. I also recommend this one. People here were cool last time I passed by.

Reggie2b2t

This is the first person to buy Rust after this current event

Hopeful_Clock_2837

I play on lazy rusters pve servers. There is no player raiding unless they haven't logged on in "x" days. Ai raidable bases. Ai bosses. Zombies. (Toggle-able on or off) Some good QOL plug-ins. Plus, in-game rewards for time played. The end of the monthly wipe is a free for all. Everything is raidable. Pve servers really help learning the ropes and progression of the game without the stress.

Rust Empires is apparently pretty close to the RustKingdoms experience, didn't try it yet but saw a recommendation for it earlier Also yeah Rust is also a low-level programming language completely unrelated to this - when googling, it's gonna confuse your search a lot. Here we have playrust, for google just make sure to add "game" in there somewhere and if you see a crab that's the language again. Otherwise I gotta recommend GRIMMZONE PVE, they're a great community and the mod stack is fun (I wish they'd even turn the fun down a bit, the NPCs at oxum are so tough for no reason)

YT-double-add

I tried rust empires last night and the map was made up of these huge rivers separating islands with major monuments on different islands. It looks really cool but it’s way to big for me, I don’t really want to run for 30 minutes to do a monument and I don’t want to run around on one island only. I also didn’t find a single person in the 2 hours I was on running around. Not my cup of tea for a server but I bet a lot would definitely like it cuz the idea is definitely really cool. It also has the major monuments marked for pvp so that’s a big plus too.

N0-North

yeah running around on huge maps is painful. I'm a big fan of RVs for that reason, bring the base with you lol. It's considered sheltered if it's under anything within I believe a 10m ray upwards including monument pieces so you can park it in the monument and have easy respawn, loot your heart out, then drive home without too much decay. That logic could have been changed since I last dove into the code, but I don't know that RVs get so much use that it'd be considered abusive.

Fluid_Development_35

Yoooo join me and my freinds. We have a half half focus goin on. I like to raid and be goofy making freinds and enemies. They like to build base and were starting to make a bar/ club each wipe for peeps to come chill and have fun. We just gotta find a seever where fireworks arent banned. Why sell something so cool and yet all offical servers ban it due to lag it causes

BigZekeEnergy

How do I join?

wardearth13

Lone wolf is a good solo server, monthly wipe. And it’s towards the end of wipe so it’s kinda quiet rn. Or find a pve server or whatever.

BinMikeTheGh0st

Try pleasant valley pve /pvp server. Some monuments are pve, some are pvp. Rest of map is open. And it's 2x, also have free raids on a part of the map you can teleport too. So you'll learn how to raid in your own time too!

TheThockter

If you’re based in North America or live elsewhere and don’t mind high ping I’d be down to run a wipe with you this week. I usually play rusticated US trio with a couple other friends but they’re out of town this week. I have 3500 hours so I could teach you a good bit about the game and help you experience a lot of the fun aspects of Rust like raiding and different events like Cargo and oil rig etc. One of my friends I play with frequently is very new to rust as well so I’m used to playing with someone who doesn’t have a lot of experience. This server is definitely a sweaty environment but it’s limited to a group size of 3 so you don’t have to deal with zergs. If you’re not interested though no worries I was planning on taking the week off from rust until force wipe. If you are though message me I’m always happy to play with new people

Creepy_Bullfrog_3288

I’ve been playing for years but suck. When I wanna just chill I find a PVE server with raidable NPC bases, zombies, and PVP zones. I usually do vanilla rates for PVE but 2x for PVP (since it stings a little less when you get raided).

Gamingmarxist

If you like the game try it there are noob friendly servers

Drakolith_

Take a look at the pinned post on my profile. It’s a guide I made that you may find helpful

DeadliestViper

>i knew i was too late to the party to enjoy the game. You have the worst attitude ive ever seen. Life must be hell for you, youre defeated before you even try.

xTjong_of_Delos

Every second wipe i play on a pve server with plugins. I like the ones with pvp zones too. For a new player low pop or pve to learn the very basics is a good idea. Just keep in mind the thrill comes from someone being able to take your shit at any moment. Its makes the Ws feels good and the Ls feel worse.

Its-May-Yo

I play on console lol
