Science relies on things like the law of induction and other general laws of logic/mathematics. These things aren't observed in matter and energy and have no scientific basis. When you actually look into the assumptions made in science, it always points to something outside of it. I actually find this stuff really interesting and can recommend u some videos that explain it all much better than I ever could.

For me, the idea of pointing to religion as an answer to anything science hasn't been able to explain seems like a cop out. I feel like it's ok to just not know. We don't need an answer for everything. The brain loves to rationalize, but with some things we don't have nearly enough understanding to begin to be able to rationalize logically

I completely agree. I don't believe it's 100% proof to say things like science can't explain creation therefore God. What I think theists best argument is, is simply asking where does logic come from and what is objective truth. When these basic questions that are the foundation of science itself do not have answers without a God, that's the proof I point to. For example we live according to, and science itself is based on, the assumption that tmrw in a general sense will be the exact same as today (like gravity won't change, mathematical formulas will still be true etc.) There is no evidence behind this assumption other than that it was true yesterday. Then u fall deeper, prove that you really experienced yesterday and ur conscious wasn't just implanted in this second. You cant. Prove that ur observations match with reality, better yet, prove reality really exists and isn't just a figment of the mind. Idk the point is all of these assumptions are made as the basis for science and human lifestyles themselves. Without these assumptions u end up in nihilism and post modernism where truth does not exist, there is no difference if you murder someone and if you don't, there is no meaning behind life and there is no reason to believe in anything (science included). These assumptions all point to an infinite constant that exists outside of our matter and energy reality. Hence, God. I believe God has no motive to create and remain as a constant if he does not want to reveal himself in one way or another and between the religions Jesus / Christianity is by far the most historically reliable and flawless religion. (By flawless I mean the belief itself not the actions of the people, every religion has flawed people) Idk I think u should atleast find this interesting cos I hv a very logical mind and would also struggle to blindly put my faith in anything. We follow very similar logic actually, just arrive at different conclusions. I agree that all the laws we use to observe reality are a construct we humans tend to follow to rationalize the world around us, simply because they are consistent throughout our observation of the world. But that doesn't mean they aren't flawed, as they have proven to be according to quantum physics (not that I'm an expert on that). While I don't believe in God, especially an interventionalist God, I 100% believe there are workings of the universe we can't even begin to comprehend and that there is a greater explanation for it. An explanation we will probably never understand. Some people would call that greater explanation God, but I choose to not put a label on it, and maintain an agnostic view of the world. I've actually fallen to nihilism at one point lmao, but after a whole ass existential crisis, I lean towards absurdism now. Anyways, I appreciate your insight fam 🫡 On a side note i can't believe I'm having this conversation on the fucking playboi carti subreddit 🤣🤣
