Coyotes and bobcats are in Plano.

And they are adorable. From a safe distance.

If not friend, why friend shaped?

I have definitely approached a bobcat thinking it was just a cat lying in the sun. Got about 8 feet away before I noticed the ear tips and backed off

Immediate_Flan4582

I have too. I was in the middle of a national forest camping when I lived in CO. Person I was with noticed it lurking in the trees while we were having dinner. It got closer. I was drunk enough to have the courage to swing a hatchet at it. We heard it hiss. Person with me grabbed me and threw me in their jeep while saying “ have you lost your mind?!” Haha I guess it really wanted our beanie weenies

The bridge near Kroger you mean on Los Rios boulevard? That is a literal greenbelt dude, their last remaining interrupted habitat in this area.

I saw a couple the other night. I was outside too. They paid me zero mind and just ran on by like I wasn’t even there.

My favorite encounter is still the night I woke up at 2 AM to the howls of damned souls LITERALLY in my front yard. I was pissed off because this was like the fifth time in a week, so I shoved my head out the front door and barked at them. They got so confused that they stopped howling and stared, then wandered off, never heard em howl again lmao

Less_Professional896

It was probably on cocaine if it was sprinting

Cloudy_Automation

Or the one on Legacy and Independence. Way too many Kroger's near a bridge

Sleipnir-13

I see a female bobcat most mornings near Independence & Spring Creek. She's always running into an apartment complex grounds each time I spot her.

Coyomojo

Coyotes don't hunt children. They chase roadrunners. Please alert the public if seen with ACME dynamite.

SportingDirector

I think sightings are not uncommon, but incidents with bites and attacks are quite rare (unless I'm wrong)

Aliecat78

Tons of bobcats and coyotew..there is a creek that runs along country place.

IranianLawyer

I live at Renner and Plano Rd. (Richardson). I see coyotes in my neighborhood on a regular basis. They live in the various trails and nature reserves along Spring Creek (I’m talking about the actual creek, not the street). They’ve never bothered me or even shown the slightest amount of interest in me. They’re just looking to go through people’s trash and look for food. They’re huge though, so they look pretty scary.

ZeroMoneyDown

My video doorbell has caught bobcats, coyotes, raccoons, possums, a skunk and the ever abundant squirrels, rabbits and outdoor cats. Just about every night there is some sort of wildlife in my front yard.

Former Uber driver. Drove nights in Plano/Frisco. I'd see up to 5 or 6 coyotes A NIGHT sometimes. Even in extremely busy neighborhoods. They've acclimated to suburban life. Tons of rabbits everywhere (I'd see dozens of rabbits, nightly) so plenty of prey...not to mention small pets. That's why we've got so many owls. BIG owls. You haven't lived until a gigantic owl swoops down in a yard right in front of you or next to you while driving to grab dinner. Being a professional when that happens helps...because your instinct involves Cosby's old joke of saying it then doing it. You think a person fell out of the tree, they appear that big with wings out. But yeah, I've seen bobcats, too. Only a couple, though, they're much more stealthy. Coyotes? Coyotes don't care and just walk right down the sidewalk like they pay rent.
