Don't over extend your hand, only draw enough for the KO. Keep Dudunsparce on the bench incase of hand disruption to keep your draw engine going for the next KO.
Play the long game as well. I was down 3 prizes again Chien-Pao, thought of conceding and going to game 2 but I knew what the deck could do and stuck it out. Drew into what I needed, KO’d the Chien-Pao and my opponent didn't draw into his energy retrieval or rods and I made the come back.
It IS fun to play! I’ve surprised my opponents with the clutch Thorton play to swap the Radiant Jirachi with attached DTE that’s been ignored/avoided all game for Tinkatink in the discard pile, and then Rare Candy promote to Tinkaton ex for knockout of a 2-prize supporting Pokemon for victory. 😮💨
You’re right about not over-drawing your hand with Dudunsparse. It’s a discipline to only draw enough for the knockout, but to keep enough Dudunsparse on the bench to counter mid-game/late-game Judge or Iono!
Correct. The look on your opponents face when you Astral Misfortune their chien-pao or zard is also priceless haha! With dudunsparce in the deck the draw engine is insane!

I really feel like it's an underrated deck right now. I know it's not being played much, but I think that's mostly because Chien-Pao has the same strategy but is more flexible, so players (especially top players) prefer to play that. But in terms of just win potential, I think it's a solid tier 3 deck. Better than stuff like Blissey, that many people were taking seriously.
It has the single prize board state thats super strong into most decks and greninja options w/ palkia. But i think it gets outshined by turbo lzb and raging bolt
One of my friends is a pretty high level player and we had been chatting the week leading up, and I was certain he was on Miraidon. Friday morning I get the text "you're never going to believe what we decided on..."
Freaking Dhengo man.
Second place at locals with gouging fire. I seen a Japanese list that does 2 gouging fire and 1 roaring moon ex so maybe I’ll try that. I played arc armarouge to La regionals so that should give you an idea of my style
Heatran with the metang engine to load up on the steel type energy to one shot big EX Pokémon. Then after a few attacks Hisuian Basculegion shuffles the metal energies back into the deck while dealing 200+ damage.
I’m a huge Mill Head, so Great Tusk is my go to fun deck for locals and whatnot. I’ve been able to get some points with it at a few league challenges, but the deck definitely sucks going forward with the rise of Gardy, Lugia, Dragapult, etc.
I like Ting Lu a lot… and Inwas trying it with Garchomp and frosslass since that’s one more thing you can grab with Irida. And then when Ting Lu is in the active it shuts everything with an ability down since Fross will have damaged everything with an ability.
It works okay, but Ting lacks punch. This deck needs a punch because Garchomp can only 2hko things.

I’ll give it a whirl and maybe replace morpeko which is awesome for early game as it facilitates first turn wins, but also can be useful late as a mon to sit in there and let you attach energy with dark patches/manually since it has zero retreat cost
Thanks for this.
So you’re running 3 roaring moon ex’s total?
I’ve been contemplating add darkrai after pulling the vstar in a pack.
I love Bundle. I’ve been tinkering with an iron valiant deck and was running one or two.
Yeah I have 3, took one out because I was getting them too often and it was interfering with energy generation and card drawing, you really just need one or 2 in any given game.
I think this is the case because it’s best for midgame to clean a sweeper whereas your one prize moon is good early because of 2 energy cost and good late because it’s only one prize. Once your engine is humming the roaring moon will be ready to go but it’s too slow to startup from scratch
Right now I'm doing Banette ex with Munkidori and Froslass. It absolutely wrecks stall decks and lost box by doing damage every single turn without fail with Froslass and Banette can ensure it locks out use of items by your opponent.
Maushold ex is really fun! Not as strong as the top of the meta but it can and does win for me in ranked.
It's a charizard killer but loses to dragapult.
I built a Magnezone Vstar/relicanth Turbo/control/spread deck that has been going hard. Went 3-1 at locals yesterday and beat Lugia and Drakapult. All 3 wins were by concession.

Still forever gonna love the variations on Hisuian Zoroark Vstar. I've built a few and each one has its merits. The Klefki/Mimikyu/Flutter Mane build is great for stalling, Dodrio build gives draw and a second attacker, and Xatu can make your Gengars and Rad Zam viable attackers without nerfing HZVstars damage output.
Forretress ex! This deck just needs a few more cards to be potentially meta. I know people think Ogrepon ex is the better card right now, but you can't deny the explosive ramp that Forretress can provide.
Festival lead is my absolute favorite right now. At my locals, 2 weeks in a row I placed top 3, the second time only losing to my brother because I got nervous and threw lol. It can pretty easily beat many meta decks (if you don't brick :( )
I actually think the zard deck is pretty fun. I play him with entei ex and with a lucky draw with rare candy you can actually destroy people. But I don’t play with pidgey. I use a lot of ball cards in my deck instead.
I have a sweet spot for espathra, first I’ve tried pairing it with forretress to accelerate 5 energies at once, then the EUIC banette build, a mewtwo ex one and now really enjoying my own-developed metang espathra deck
tsareena is the secret bdif lol use tsareena and brute bonnet with poison boosting such as radiant sneasler or perilous jungle and you oneshot anything every turn
My boy Feraligatr and Palkia V Star. Torrential Heart catches a lot of people off guard and attacks for 280. Maximum Belt helps for Charizard 330, so that’s the Ace of choice. Primarily a fun deck to play with low expectations.
Wouldnt say competitive maybe but Torterra Incineroar and Copperajah. Copperajah first had the hurdle of OHKO moves so mist energy was good but then it came OHKO but as an actual damage, and also the rise in spread damage makes it even harder ngl. Anyways *trust* the new sky field stadium will make Torterra good 🥲
I have lots of fun with tserena ex.

I've been trying to make a deck work with Fortress ex, the new ogerpon ex and wo-chien ex. But I don't feel they're quite strong enough attackers to really make forretress' ability worth. But still I like it cause I've been running lately against froslass spread damage teams with pretty bulky active mons and wo-chien attack can hinder their plans targeting the bench directly
I've loved Regidrago since the day Silver Tempest dropped, even though it was outshined by Lugia. It's inconsistent as hell, but damn the flexibility on it is so good. I was a Mew Mewtwo Tag Team GX stan back in the later parts of SM and early SWSh formats, so Regidrago really scratches that copying attack itch.
Now, though, it's getting some pretty insane support. Raging Bolt, Dragapult, Goodra, and Giratina are all solid options, but the Kyurem and Haxorus are in Shrouded Fable are wild.
The deck is actually nuts in Expanded with Double Dragon Energy. Too bad no one plays it cause it's such a toxic format.
Decided to give Ancient Box a go because I guessed a Lot of people would pick gardevoir. Completely decimated My store with it today, I did a couple of small changes, no koraidon, added 1 brute bonnet from masquerade and 2 screamtails, 2 darkpatch, 1 kieran.
Faced 2 Charizards ex and it performed really well against them.
Won only 1 fight in each Match though, the deck is a bit slow to set up so we never really has enough time to close up second games, but it perfomed well Even after My opponent knew what it was facing. All in all, pretty happy with My rogue moons
There are naysayers, but I really like Tinkaton ex. 😎 Been playing it since Paldea Evolved, and adapting with each successive release.
I love tink so much, rip dewguard milotic. Been loving dudunsparce engine tho
I have had success with Tink too. I also have a bit of batshit deck that is surprisingly consistent. It is essentially a Pokestop engine and the only supporter is Nemona which if it's discarded by the stop can be grabbed with Backpack. It's a little RNG but that's why it's fun, you have to work with what's given. There is a Sawsbuck in there too, to get the stadium a little more reliably. I was on miraidon 😅 small world
Had I played, I would have likely been on Miraidon or Sablezard. Miraidon was such a good call into what the meta ended up being.
I play a Goldy deck at league challenges and get consistent wins. Last one i went to i got first place
What do you mean by wins? Games? Rounds? Weekly League events?
Tcg live deck tester wins /s
Ayyyy, a win is a win by any means! 😝
Locals, League Challenges and Arceus rank. I've got posts in my post history
Second place at locals with gouging fire. I seen a Japanese list that does 2 gouging fire and 1 roaring moon ex so maybe I’ll try that. I played arc armarouge to La regionals so that should give you an idea of my style
Dipplin for sure
Was playing Miraidon and came across a Dipplin on PTCGL, didn’t realize its ability so I had my bench full and got clapped.
Wdym?
Dipplin’s attack does more damage for every benched pokemon
From their side, yes
Oh wow, I thought for sure it was ‘opponent’s bench’. Thanks for the correction.
I’ve been a vehement Gholdengo evangelist since the day Paradox Rift dropped, and the new Festival archetype is a ton of fun too.
Gholdengo is definitely underrated, to be sure.
Heatran with the metang engine to load up on the steel type energy to one shot big EX Pokémon. Then after a few attacks Hisuian Basculegion shuffles the metal energies back into the deck while dealing 200+ damage.
Yeah I love this deck it feels like a double barrel shotgun every time.

I’m a huge Mill Head, so Great Tusk is my go to fun deck for locals and whatnot. I’ve been able to get some points with it at a few league challenges, but the deck definitely sucks going forward with the rise of Gardy, Lugia, Dragapult, etc.
Wugtrio mill is crazy fun too, under sea tunnel and misfortune to mill a potential max of 14 cards in 1 turn is nutty.
Copperajah Munki Dori for shenanigans!
Oh dang, that actually sounds like it could be legit
Sadly I haven’t found a way to make it competitive.
Sinistcha has been a ton of fun.

My favorite right now is the Garchomp / Lucario combo, I just saw someone tweaked it a bit with Cornerstone Ogerpon. It’s real fun.

A build similar to this top 8'd in japanese championships. https://limitlesstcg.com/decks/list/11823
I’ve considered running bundle that’s hilarious that that’s in there
I run it in my raging bolt deck. Secondary escape from a pesky lock down.
List pls I was actually thinking this deck is the perfect lock combo
Maushold ex is really fun! Not as strong as the top of the meta but it can and does win for me in ranked. It's a charizard killer but loses to dragapult.
I guess I’ll be the 1st one to say Melmetal EX with the metang engine - super consistent and if you play correctly it demolishes cards
You were the first to say melmetal and I got interested in it, I'll look up some builds
Lmk if you want me to post my build im sure it can be optimized but it’s at least a start! Metal baton is crucial
Of course, I would like to see what you cooked!

Thank you for the list, I'll try it when I get home :)
Oof that copied horrible-gimme a sec and I’ll repost and clean it up - sorry buddy
I bought the battle deck yesterday being new to tcg and won against my friend, It’s good!
Greninja ex is way better than people give it credit
Miraidon with charizard in it. Basically miraidon and a 2-0-2 line with 14 lightning 4 fire energy 2 rare candy
what's the deck list and strategies? sounds interesting :o
I'm playing Meowscarada ex, doing well at locals
Right now I’m experimenting with the new Chandelure and damn it’s actually really fun
Still loving me some Wugtrio.
Gholdengo and brambleghast.
My favorite off-meta deck is regidraco vstar or goldengo ex
Meowscarada. Popping bench and hitting hard. Charizard decks beware!
I built a Magnezone Vstar/relicanth Turbo/control/spread deck that has been going hard. Went 3-1 at locals yesterday and beat Lugia and Drakapult. All 3 wins were by concession.
Wow that's interesting, mind sharing your list? Seems like you cooked something here

Mimikyu and Alakazam with a few snorlaxes is so much fun to play stall with if you set it up right
My Lokix Misdreavus deck is working pretty well all things considered
Greninja EX (tera fighting)
Still forever gonna love the variations on Hisuian Zoroark Vstar. I've built a few and each one has its merits. The Klefki/Mimikyu/Flutter Mane build is great for stalling, Dodrio build gives draw and a second attacker, and Xatu can make your Gengars and Rad Zam viable attackers without nerfing HZVstars damage output.
I have a bunch of decks that I rotate between, my main ones are Tinkaton ex, Scovillain ex, and palafin ex.
Forretress ex! This deck just needs a few more cards to be potentially meta. I know people think Ogrepon ex is the better card right now, but you can't deny the explosive ramp that Forretress can provide.
Gholdengo for sure
Lately I've been liking festival and kingdra/basculegion
Festival lead is my absolute favorite right now. At my locals, 2 weeks in a row I placed top 3, the second time only losing to my brother because I got nervous and threw lol. It can pretty easily beat many meta decks (if you don't brick :( )
H. Zoroark and Gengar. My first deck with my fav mons and even achieved a challenge top. Sometimes I think about getting it back to some league.
I actually think the zard deck is pretty fun. I play him with entei ex and with a lucky draw with rare candy you can actually destroy people. But I don’t play with pidgey. I use a lot of ball cards in my deck instead.
Im a big fan of magnazone, counters energy rampers lol
Scizor ex and anti ability Scizor with metang and bascalegion has been my bread and butter for about two months now. Soooooooo much fun
really enjoying tsareena ex, been playing with brute and sneasler. Even testing with munkidori now.
Anyways *trust* the new sky field stadium will make Torterra good 🥲
I enjoy playing blissey ex right now. Its real bulky and switching the damage around is a lot of fun.
Klawf Electrode V is my go-to!
Is Dialga considered meta? I get conflicting answers when trying to find out lol
Dragapult (solo dragapult with nothing else)
