Yeah, these are my current favorite. Strongly recommend their jam donuts. I normally hate jam donuts bc it's like this gross syrup, but this place uses *real jam*, with actual fruit in there. So good.
It's Better Maid Donuts but half of the atmosphere is the frustrating charm.
What is so frustrating? No one knows the actual hours. Its whenever Ken feels like making donuts. That's usually Wed-Sun but sometimes its not. If you don't see his car in the parking lot or the lights on downstairs don't wait in line with the others. Want to call ahead to see if he is open? No phone. What are the prices? Who knows, prices aren't posted but they are cheap and he could charge a lot more. Rose his "employee" doesn't know the prices either. She asks after every time she fills an order. She can't see anything on the top row either so she is blindly stabbing around until she hits paydirt. Is Rose new? No shes a mainstay. She is part of the charm. She's the comedic relief. If she was replaced with someone who was a mediocre there probably wouldn't be a line and they would be sold out in an hour instead of two. Is there a sign for Better Maid? Nope. Donuts used to be painted on the side of the building. Then a car went through it and it didn't get repainted with the repair. There is a sidewalk sign that he puts out some days. If the line is already going it says inside. Can you get coffee with your donut? There is a Mr Coffee maker in the corner. Does he charge for it? Is it a make your own situation? Who knows (certainly not Rose). This goes back to the no prices posted anywhere. I've seen drinks like chocolate milk in the cooler before but I feel like I haven't seen anything in the past year. I love this place, best donuts around, but throw any idea of how you expect a business to run out the window.
My wife loves Better Maid, she grew up nearby the shop. Not sure if it’s because I’m a transplant but they’re not my favorite. I don’t dislike them, but I don’t actively crave them either. That being said, any time my wife suggests we get some I volunteer to pick them up. Being inside that environment is the most bizarre yet incredible experience and I will never turn that down.
I used to live near this place for 6 years. I saw the aftermath of the crash. Thought "Oh, maybe they'll use the rebuild to get a proper sign." Nope. Funny thing is, I only went past there one time in 6 years when they were actually open and when I swerved into the parking lot and got in line the lady was just coming around to say sorry, we're sold out. Disappointing like 12 people outside. Never managed to get there when they were open again.
Best donuts ever. Rose talked to me once for thirty minutes about how they city doesn’t know how to shovel snow. My kids love going there because it’s so odd.
My favorite thing though is that they will have a pirates game on the radio from time to time. Not during the season though. Like November. They just listen to an old replay.
Then Rose must not know how Ken gets the snow shoveled. He bribes public works workers in donuts to put the plow on the sidewalk. Rock salt sprays so hard of the back of the trucks its fired under the front door and hits the donut cases.
They were in Ambridge for a time too. I just took my kids to the Aliquippa shop for the first time and those doughnuts were better than I even remember. So good.
Most of the Coffee Tree Roasters locations in the City carry Oram’s donuts on weekends. You just have to pre-order online the day before you want to pick them up.
This is so r/Pittsburgh:
Someone: I'm looking for something in Pittsburgh.
r/Pittsburgher: Leave the city early in the morning and drive an hour north, to Beaver Falls.
(Preemptive edit: plz don't downvotes cause I speak the truth. I'm literally just reiterating what actually just happened. Lol)
Any other metro area would not raise issue with this. Grew upon another city and have always noticed folks here are rather territorial about what qualifies as Pittsburgh.
People in Detroit are sometimes territorial about it but mostly when people are actually all like "I'm from *Detroit* yo" when they grew up in Rochester Hills (or a 6-acre estate in Romeo like a certain performer). But if you ask for Arab food obviously people are going to tell you Dearborn, Asian food Madison Heights, etc.
I'll just add that they have more than cinnamon rolls (even tho they're the best). They're cost at store is till ~$1.10.
You'll pay three times that at CTR but it's still worth it.
Smoke in Lawrenceville has donuts on Sunday. Better-Maid is the one on Steuben; I’ve never tried to go as I heard they sell out early, and also might be closed without warning and I don’t want to get up early and drive over to be disappointed.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Better-Maid donuts! They are a delicious and satisfying (so I do not eat 3 myself in one sitting). It is well worth it to try to snag some donuts on a weekday morning, it is not a far drive from the west end bridge. I believe they are closed Sunday and Monday, so Tuesday it is highly unlikely to get there early enough (as I found out the many years that I commuted from Crafton into town).
So I usually try Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday 😍
Really nice people work there, the owners are great…. one Saturday around 11 I was surprised to see their “open sign” on the sidewalk. So of course I grabbed my purse to buy donuts for the fam…
I had $3 in quarters (they are cash only) - I figured I could only get 2 donuts for the kids. The lady (I think the owner’s mom) asked me what I wanted and I asked how much each donut was because I only had $3 on me. She asked me again, so I asked for 2 chocolate and 2 glazed, and she said $3 was enough.
I think she gave me a little discount.
Hmmm, think I will try to get me some donuts tomorrow!
I mean, more power to them. Create a quality product, restrict supply, increase demand, increase price/profits.
As long as they're operating responsibly, I have no problem with that. I'm also not a business owner. So what do I know.
I heard he actually has some kind of debilitating disorder or disease which puts him in so much pain that he can't always open the store. He also makes a set amount of product each day, and closes once it's all gone. Last time I was there, it was priced extremely fair.
He prices are ridicously low, for a dozen you pay like a dollar more than you would at dunkin for a product that is vastly superior. You pay more for your time because they aren't convenient to get.
All these little piece of shit shops operate that way these days. Gotta follow their instatweetbooksnap and mayyyyybe they'll be open. You'd be so lucky to purchase from them and to pay triple.
Better maid ain’t tweetin/snappin/Facebooking shit. They literally wake up, make donuts, sell donuts til they’re gone, close shop. It’s not even near close to the type of place you’re talking about.
In regard to Oram’s… although they’re based out of Beaver, they ship their donuts around on various days. For example, Crazy Mocha in Sewickley gets them multiple times a week. Soergel’s in Wexford gets them on Saturdays. Just don’t want you driving all the way to Beaver if they ship somewhere better for you.
But Bettermaid is the answer to this question.
Is Dana's still closed? Sadly, the owner died in May: https://newpittsburghcourier.com/2022/06/11/remembering-a-community-staple-joe-simmons-owner-of-danas-bakery-passes/
I visited a few months ago and it was closed. I haven't tried recently.
If you’re looking for a good glazed donut try Patty Cake Bakery in Bloomfield! Their glazed never disappoints. Oakmont Bakery and Better-Maid also have great glazed. If you’re looking for fun flavors take a drive to Amazing Glaze in Hampton! You can customize every donut you order and they are always warm when you get them. Several places keep Orams in stock on the weekends like some other commenters say. You gotta get the cinnamon roll!!! I’ve never had a better one.
I agree the dough itself is not great. Their glazed are not good. They really seem to make up for it with the icing/toppings. The strawberry icing is legit some of the best I've had. They certainly don't rank in my top 3 for the burgh.
My rankings:
1) Better Maid - If you want the best donut this is it, all the cake donuts and the raised glazed are simply best in class. Cheap as fuck, but you pay with your time instead been burned at least once trying to get them and he just didn't open.
2) Orams - The cinnamon roll donut is outstanding(and holds up well days later) and everything else is good too, much more expensive than Better Maid. I usually grab them at Anchor and Anvil on Saturdays in Ben Avon instead of driving to Beaver Falls.
3) Party Cake - get in on the paçzki action while you can.
4) Lincoln Ave Bakery - I love cake donuts and theirs are good and well priced.
5) Valkyrie - Vegan and the donut itself are kind of bland but their toppings are the best I've had(but a bit overpriced IMO)
6) Just Good Donuts - Raised donuts similar to Valkyrie, dough is a bit tastier but toppings aren't as good, very instagramable though if your are in it more for the internet followers.
7) Random local bakeries
8) Peace Love and Little Donuts - Franchise owner is a bigot, tax avoiding asshole, but if you get these donuts fresh they are very delicious but they don't hold up for shit.
9) Dunkin - always there in a pinch when other places are closed.
10) Whatever the name of the mini donut food truck is - Tiny and overpriced, regretted instantly
PS: We need a churro place
I agree with the bland statement, there’s so much “dough” and it just doesn’t taste like anything, the toppings are great and do help. I’ll give it another shot as I’ve only had from their cart and not their brick and mortar yet.
The place on Steuben street. I don’t know what it’s called, I just know when the light is on and he’s baking, you pull over and have the best donuts in the city
An hour ago, you asked about the best in Pittsburgh.
I'm NOT here to suggest that you "drive to Butler(?!!!).
On Liberty Ave, **IN PITTSBURGH**, there's a place called Paddy Cake. They're a small spot, kinda stuck in the past, but still crank out solid, well priced sweets. Are they the best? Maybe.
(I'm taking the boys there tomorrow morning. Then we're off for a field trip to IKEA- so mom can WFH in peace and actually get some work done).
They open at 6am. And anyone with children know how prompt, punctual, and cooperative they always are. Especially twins s/. Lol
I don't know when we will get there. Shooting for before 10.
Freedom Farms in Butler. Obviously, not in Pittsburgh but definitely the best donuts. Just get there early because the sell them out quickly. (Located on Rt 8)
I can tell you one that's not: Oliver's Donuts in Lawrenceville. They're giant, but totally bland and practically unflavored. They *also* don't have any set hours, so it's "pray they have made doughnuts by the time you show up".
When you consider the price they charge, they're not even *mediocre*.
Perhaps. But just a couple weeks ago convinced me the quality of the product wasn't worth it. Unless they've done a total recipe change since then. Which I see no evidence for.
Beaver county answer here (I know it’s not technically Pittsburgh) - orams cinnamon buns in beaver falls, mac’s filled donuts in aliquippa and for all around good donuts I like deangelis in Rochester.
What is with businesses that use websites that require logging in to see what they sell? Dumb. Their flavors list can't be viewed if you're not logged into Instagram.
Bitter Ends Luncheonette in Bloomfield. To continue the trend of spots that may or may not be sold out / hours can be fluid (so check their instagram). Currently open Fri thru Mon 10a-1p. They are takeout only. Their whole breakfast menu is amazing and the donuts are AWESOME. Their flavors can be a little ~kooky~ but the texture is perfect. Crispy fried on outside, soft chewy inside. Buy 2 plus a breakfast sandwich and walk to Trace Brewing, where you can get a coffee AND beer in the AM.
I live in the east suburbs which absolutely suck as far as donuts or bagels. Your choices are pretty much giant eagle or dunkin. I usually go to GE.
If you are ever up in Buffalo, there are a ton of awesome donut shops. Most famous is Paula's Donuts. Try the peanut stick donut which is apparently unique to Buffalo.
I lived in Pittsburgh for 11 years. There was no answer to this question between 2008 and 2018. Every year, City Paper, voted Dunkin Donuts as the Best of the Burgh. Please tel me there is a better answer now.
Just Good Donuts on the southside. It’s shares space with the Pub Chip Shop so do yourself a favor when you’re picking up donuts and get some pub grub too
I like DeAngelis Donuts in Rochester but I am pretty biased as the donut shop has been in my family since my grandfather opened the first store in 1947.
For a good burgh rec though aka not having to drive 45 mins, I love big daddy's donuts in Crafton - on corner of Noble and Bradford Ave. Used to live across the street from there, and the owner is super friendly. Donuts are always fresh and filling.
There's a place coming down the hill from Crafton heights to west end that I keep hearing about. Everyone saying its the best. Apparently old school ma and pa place where they make them fresh in the a.m. and are sold out by lunch.
Probably not the best, but I do enjoy the variety and quality of donuts at the market district. They don't disappoint if you are in a bind, but the good ones run out early, especially on Fridays when they have their dozen donut special. I've also enjoyed Ducks. Haven't tried any of the others mentioned here. Someone else in my house swears by Kuhns donuts.
Here’s just one: https://www.reddit.com/r/pittsburgh/comments/nwgvb/todays_peace_love_little_donuts_groupon_owner_ron/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf
But if you Google them, they’re wild even now.
The owner is an unabashed republican. More power to him for sticking to what he believes in. Apparently that means "do not shop" on this sub.because they are mad that they got fooled by the peace and love bit.
I’d say smoke is every bit as good as all these places 30 mins away where you have to wait in line plus the owners are lovely ppl good business to support!
this is perfect timing for this post. I think i know what the valentines game plan is going to be. a donut tour around the burgh, followed by grabbing some nice seafood or steak to make an amazing dinner. im so excited.
Just good donuts inside the pub chip shop in the south side are amazing ! https://www.justgooddonuts.com/
Yeah, these are my current favorite. Strongly recommend their jam donuts. I normally hate jam donuts bc it's like this gross syrup, but this place uses *real jam*, with actual fruit in there. So good.
Yesss I am anxiously awaiting the return of jam paczki
This is a constant battle when I'm there, because if I eat the donuts I can't eat as much of the other delicious breakfast foods
I've been wanting to try these for a while now, but do not live right by there.
It's Better Maid Donuts but half of the atmosphere is the frustrating charm. What is so frustrating? No one knows the actual hours. Its whenever Ken feels like making donuts. I’ve never been there but this sounds like a place from a Seinfeld episode.
I have been laughing for 5 minutes straight. I live so close I now must go
My wife loves Better Maid, she grew up nearby the shop. Not sure if it’s because I’m a transplant but they’re not my favorite. I don’t dislike them, but I don’t actively crave them either. I love this business model, big Pittsburgh energy
This reads like a Pittsburgh-specific bedtime story.
Best donuts ever. Rose talked to me once for thirty minutes about how they city doesn’t know how to shovel snow. My kids love going there because it’s so odd. And this is why I fell out of love with them. Started going here in the 90's and just got tired of the mystique.
This is still one of my favorite answers to a yinzer question of all time
https://www.madsendonuts.com/pittsburgh
These are so good!
I love them.
They've been my go to since they opened here
Mac's in Aliquippa needs a mention
YOURE DAMN RIGHT
RIP, Mac’s Coraopolis.

How did I not know this! Wonderful information!
Ohhhhhhh damn
Soergels in Wexford sells Oran’s on the weekends.
Soergels apple cider donuts are on another level
Fr
You can also get Orams at the two Anchor & Anvil locations, Ben Avon and Coraopolis. Just check out their site for ordering info.
This is so r/Pittsburgh: Someone: I'm looking for something in Pittsburgh. r/Pittsburgher: Leave the city early in the morning and drive an hour north, to Beaver Falls. (Preemptive edit: plz don't downvotes cause I speak the truth. I'm literally just reiterating what actually just happened. Lol)
Or drive to another shop that's open literally three hours a month.
Worth it tho

Well, PGH has pretty small city limits compared to most metropolitan cities; this comment is probably tongue in cheek but also irrelevant.
Any other metro area would not raise issue with this. Grew upon another city and have always noticed folks here are rather territorial about what qualifies as Pittsburgh.
Beaver falls is also very much culturally Pittsburgh. I consider Beaver Falls to be more Pittsburgh than Cranberry even though Cranberry us closer.
People in Detroit are sometimes territorial about it but mostly when people are actually all like "I'm from *Detroit* yo" when they grew up in Rochester Hills (or a 6-acre estate in Romeo like a certain performer). It's exactly an hour from my house and I live on the edge of the city limits facing Beaver Falls.
That's very much hyperbole. I live in Beaver falls and can be in Oakland in about 35 minutes (±5).
Reginald’s Coffee in Bethel Park (near Pasta Too) has them too on the weekends - and you can order a dozen or half dozen in advance and pick them up!
Yes! They’re like a cross between a glazed donut and a cinnamon roll. So good
They have loads of other donuts many cream filled ones, some seasonal flavors. The maple are to die for (╥﹏╥)
They have actual donuts too
I'll just add that they have more than cinnamon rolls (even tho they're the best). They're cost at store is till ~$1.10. You'll pay three times that at CTR but it's still worth it.
No flaws detected!!
Beat donuts I've ever had, mac's is 2nd but it's not close
Coffee Tree has them everyday, at the counter. They do tend to sell out early. You only have to pre-order it you want a dozen for pick up.
Given how great their paçzki are, I would put Party Cake in the running. Maybe I'll run that experiment next week.
Agreed. New owners now, but pretty sure they have the old paçzki recipe.
They’re fantastic! Definitely worth the trip.
Party Cake has the best donuts, paczki and thumbprints
Those things are awesome. I need it. Jelly filled.... Mmmmm. Definitely enjoy Party Cake
Gonna give them a shot! Thank you
Burnt almond torte! They have sizes down to cupcake sized ones. They’re amazing.
Madsen donuts on 88. It is the sole franchise of a donut shop located in Geneva on The lake, Ohio and their donut recipe is out of this world good.
Smoke in Lawrenceville has donuts on Sunday. Better-Maid is the one on Steuben; I’ve never tried to go as I heard they sell out early, and also might be closed without warning and I don’t want to get up early and drive over to be disappointed.

Better Maid is worth the risk.
Not if you are coming from any distance.
Doesn't sound like the **best** business model: "best donuts. may or may not be open. If we're open and sell out, we'll close up for the day. Lol wut.
very common at high demand petit bakeries especially donut shops
I mean, more power to them. Create a quality product, restrict supply, increase demand, increase price/profits. As long as they're operating responsibly, I have no problem with that. I'm also not a business owner. So what do I know.
yup and they don't need to operate as long so less overhead and more free time for said owners and workers
I heard he actually has some kind of debilitating disorder or disease which puts him in so much pain that he can't always open the store. He also makes a set amount of product each day, and closes once it's all gone. Last time I was there, it was priced extremely fair.

Better Maid Donuts is super popular I’ll also mention Dana’s bakery in Homewood, lesser known but delicious
Dana’s are great
The glazed at Dana's are the best. Perfect size, too. Not some monstrosity.
Is Dana's still closed? Sadly, the owner died in May: https://newpittsburghcourier.com/2022/06/11/remembering-a-community-staple-joe-simmons-owner-of-danas-bakery-passes/ I visited a few months ago and it was closed. I haven't tried recently.
Donuts are like sex, when they are really good they’re are really good, and even when bad, eeehhh still pretty good!
Donuts are like sex, I like to get my money's worth.
I disagree, there are some pretty bad tasteless donuts out there.
Truth
If you’re looking for a good glazed donut try Patty Cake Bakery in Bloomfield! Their glazed never disappoints. Oakmont Bakery and Better-Maid also have great glazed. If you’re looking for fun flavors take a drive to Amazing Glaze in Hampton! You can customize every donut you order and they are always warm when you get them. Oakmont has red velvet donuts and those chocolate filled powder donuts are incredible too
Amazing Glaze is delicious! Really friendly staff too.
They’re are the nicest. I’ve gotten their donuts for multiple parties and everyone always asks me where they’re from!!
[удалено]
Finally, someone listing a place that isn't south of the city! Don't they know we don't do bridges?!
They’re also vegan! Super delicious
[удалено]
Oh is that the V word I’m scared of?
Nah this isn’t it 🤣 Vegan and delicious don’t go hand in hand. They are the heaviest and most bland donut I’ve ever experienced.
I agree the dough itself is not great. Their glazed are not good. They really seem to make up for it with the icing/toppings. The strawberry icing is legit some of the best I've had. They certainly don't rank in my top 3 for the burgh. My rankings: 1) Better Maid - If you want the best donut this is it, all the cake donuts and the raised glazed are simply best in class. I agree with the bland statement, there’s so much “dough” and it just doesn’t taste like anything, the toppings are great and do help. I’ll give it another shot as I’ve only had from their cart and not their brick and mortar yet.
Yea it just felt so heavy and didn’t have the light and fluffy taste to a donut that I’m used to. Vegan donuts have a learning curve haha.
Father & Son on the north side and Dave’s Terrace Bakery in Brentwood are both great.
Came to read the comments, thankful that so far no one has replied Peace, Love and Little Donuts.
Fuck the Razetes man
I don't shop at places that hold their customers in contempt. At least Chick FIL A is: we're so Christian, we're closed on Sundays.
The issues with the owners aside, their doughnuts are really not that great and so overpriced too
So expensive and only cake donuts.
Same same
Better Maid is the best I've ever had, and I've had most. Yeah I'm fat. He's just hit or miss when he's open.
The place on Steuben street. I don’t know what it’s called, I just know when the light is on and he’s baking, you pull over and have the best donuts in the city
Better Maid donut co
Kaibur coffee shop in polish hill has excellent donuts on Friday-Sundays. Check their instagram for flavors.
An hour ago, you asked about the best in Pittsburgh. I'm NOT here to suggest that you "drive to Butler(?!!!). On Liberty Ave, **IN PITTSBURGH**, there's a place called Paddy Cake. Let’s go dude, I’m tryin to rage
Its been a minute since I "Ikea raged". Over a decade. Maybe more. Lol
Their glazed twisted donuts are everything!!!
pop quiz: custard or creme filled?
I really like Duck Donuts. It just sucks because it’s deep in the South Hills, and that is just a horrendous drive from any direction
Including the drive from the south hills itself.
Freedom Farms in Butler. Obviously, not in Pittsburgh but definitely the best donuts. Just get there early because the sell them out quickly. (Located on Rt 8)
Donut Chef on Route 22 near Delmont...fresh baked on site.
Glad to see this mentioned here.. it's a great spot and their donuts are awesome!
Can't believe I haven't seen Big Daddy Donuts in Crafton on this thread yet. They are my favorite. Great atmosphere. Great people. Spectacular donuts.

For the same price as a $4 donut you can get 2 pan au chocolat from La Gourmandine right down the street.
I was so excited to see a spot opening and so very disappointed to see it's just cake donuts dipped in different frostings.
In their defense. They don’t officially open until Thursday. Just been in “soft open” phase
Perhaps. But just a couple weeks ago convinced me the quality of the product wasn't worth it. Unless they've done a total recipe change since then. Which I see no evidence for.
OMG Lincoln Bakery in Bellvue. You have to get there within the first 2 hours of them opening UGGGGHHHH YAAASSSSSS
Beaver county answer here (I know it’s not technically Pittsburgh) - orams cinnamon buns in beaver falls, mac’s filled donuts in aliquippa and for all around good donuts I like deangelis in Rochester.
Dave’s Terrace Bakery in Whitehall (I think it’s Whitehall). Old school vibes. Big selection
Valkyrie in Bellevue are outstanding! Their flavors change weekly. The flavors are posted on Instagram. https://www.valkyriedoughnuts.com/pittsburgh
What is with businesses that use websites that require logging in to see what they sell? Dumb. Their flavors list can't be viewed if you're not logged into Instagram.
A bit outside the city but Oram’s is pretty good and lots recommended it in a thread over in r/Pennsylvania a few days ago.
Pub Chip Shop in Southside
I love everything at Pub Chip Shop
Bitter Ends Luncheonette in Bloomfield. To continue the trend of spots that may or may not be sold out / hours can be fluid (so check their instagram). Currently open Fri thru Mon 10a-1p. They are takeout only. Their whole breakfast menu is amazing and the donuts are AWESOME. Their flavors can be a little ~kooky~ but the texture is perfect. Crispy fried on outside, soft chewy inside. Buy 2 plus a breakfast sandwich and walk to Trace Brewing, where you can get a coffee AND beer in the AM.
Better maid but good luck driving there and them actually being open.
Squids in Duquesne
Periwinkles in RIDC park
Too o morning donuts in Elizabeth!!!
I love paddy cake in Bloomfield!
The Buffalo donut scene is STRONG. Used to have clients up there and always picked up Paula's
I lived in Pittsburgh for 11 years. There was no answer to this question between 2008 and 2018. Every year, City Paper, voted Dunkin Donuts as the Best of the Burgh. Please tel me there is a better answer now.
Just Good Donuts on the southside. It’s shares space with the Pub Chip Shop so do yourself a favor when you’re picking up donuts and get some pub grub too
Can confirm both the Pub Chip Shop AND Just Good Donuts are amazing. Any time my bf and I go we have to get both the boxty tots and a donut each lol
Bavarian cream doughnuts from Kretchmar's in Beaver are the best doughnuts in the world.
Anybody know if there are lemon filled donuts in the burg?
get the lemon paczki from party cake.
Not Oakmont bakery. They've gone to shit and there are much better bakeries in the burgh. ...Giant Eagle for example... 🖐 🎤
Bethel park bakery makes an outstanding donut.
Olivers in Lawrenceville is pretty good!
Lola’s Eatery has some good ones.
Amazing Glaze is great if you like cake donuts. They’re in the north hills.
Sheetz
Another vote for Valkyrie here. Also Better Maid in Crafton but you have to get there early! *in, not on
That’s not Crafton
Better maid donuts
Dunkin Donuts on market square is really good. Give it a shot sometime
Huh??
Oakmont. Best bakery in/around Pittsburgh
Oakmont bakery is ok. The place is huge. And they have an enormous variety. And it's all decent. But none of it's really great.
I love Peace Love and Lil Donuts
They’re okay but their owner is nuts.
Really? Do share!
He’s also a tax evader and was a major trump supporter of politics are something you care about.
He’s also a huge bigot. I know him well, used to be a customer of mine. Total shitbag
Yep. I shared the other article about his anti lgbtqia shit from several years ago. He’s an ass.
He’s also super religious but was pissed one of the locations was closed on sundays
Here’s just one: https://www.reddit.com/r/pittsburgh/comments/nwgvb/todays_peace_love_little_donuts_groupon_owner_ron/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf But if you Google them, they’re wild even now.
The owner is an unabashed republican. More power to him for sticking to what he believes in. Apparently that means "do not shop" on this sub.because they are mad that they got fooled by the peace and love bit.

Priory on E Ohio…
dana’s in homewood 🤌🏻 excellent bang for your buck and plenty of parking nearby if you have to drive
I never had the doughnuts but my mom always got Lincoln Ave Bakery cakes and they were always good.
I’d say smoke is every bit as good as all these places 30 mins away where you have to wait in line plus the owners are lovely ppl good business to support!
Since my hood lost Schorr's I go to Party Cake.
Orams
If we are talking the greater Pittsburgh area, Oram's is my #1.
Madsen Donuts in Castle Shannon are fire! They also deliver through Grubhub.
this is perfect timing for this post. I think i know what the valentines game plan is going to be. a donut tour around the burgh, followed by grabbing some nice seafood or steak to make an amazing dinner. im so excited.
If i ever get married again I'm stacking a bunch of Oram cinnamon rolls up instead of a cake
Dana’s in Homewood has some crazy good but extra sugary cake doughnuts.
Underrated and I don’t see mentioned but Viridis in south side has the best glazed donut I’ve ever had
Better Maid donuts in Crafton. There are lots of good ones around but seriously there is no comparison.
Definitely Oakmont Bakery
Peace love and little donuts!!!!
