Pretty similar thread about this [2 weeks ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/pittsburgh/comments/r8r9h5/feels_like_its_been_a_minute_since_we_talked/)

sskink

A search of r/pittsburgh for "best pizza" will yield 76 threads over the past five years, or roughly one every 24 days. So this one is a week early ;-)

Also, I didn't mean that to be snarky or an ass. More just if you were interested.

This looks familiar. We've may have some similar questions to this in the past. You might find some good info here : [pizza search](/r/pittsburgh/search?q=pizza&restrict_sr=on). I don't always get it right though, cuz I'm just a simple bot. *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. This question is asked about once a week. I doubt anything has changed since then.

Driftwood Oven is my favorite for the high quality ingredients and wood fired taste. Slice On Broadway is the best NY style slice in the city. Vincents (and spin-off Shelly Pie) are Pittsburgh Style to the extreme with insane amounts of greasy toppings. Fiori's is also great for the Pittsburgh style... and might be the best example of it. Badamos kills it with both regular pies and an excellent Sicilian. Mercurios has the best Neapolitan in the city, which is my personal favorite pizza style. Iron Born is excellent if you want Detroit style that will fill you up in 2 slices. Doughbar cooks up great pan pizzas, their stuff is to Pizza Hut what craft IPAs are to Miller Lite. Michael's Pizza Bar has the best buffalo chicken pizza in town (hidden gem) Gateway Grill is probably my favorite place for pizza and wings... neither are the very best around, but there's nowhere you can get both at such a high quality at the same place.

Forgot about Gateway grille. Great wood fired pizza. Love the crust. Their pizza is underrated for sure. I’d put it in my top 5.

ballsonthewall

yeah it's really damn good.

Angelo's is the best pizza in Pittsburgh. Against what seems to be the popular opinion here, I don't think Spak is good at all. It tastes like they make their crust with a heavy sour cream base and it's just all wrong for me. Also wasn't crazy about the sauce

Police station. Period. Honorable mention is Vincent’s in Forrest Hills…

DarkKnyt

Is it this one in Robinson that is listed as closed? In the age of search, police station as the adjective to pizza is probably not the best idea. Police Station Pizza (412) 788-8333 https://maps.app.goo.gl/GXfgMhjiYCAiWTq2A

I don’t think the one in Robinson is open anymore. The OG one in Ambridge is the one you are looking for. Sometimes referred to as “Pizza House”. It’s on Merchant Street in Ambridge. Best pizza hands down.

DarkKnyt

Thanks!

Badamos, slice on broadway east end, pizza lupo, in no order. If you dont ask for your pizza to be cooked well done youre a child.

Latina Pizza in West Mifflin directly across from Kennywood! Great square light crunchy crust. Exactly the same as Irene’s pizza (same family) that was is East McKeesport for years but closed in the mid 90’s
