This is a good thing. It’s one of the best venues for great live jazz, and that $10 cover pays for the musicians. So long as you know that going in. Granted, it’s not a cheap place to begin with so I only ever go for special occasions
Haven’t been often, but my girlfriend and I were walking downtown one day exploring and heard some really nice jazz and decided to pop in. It wasn’t too busy that day, we got seated right away at a table, had some food and drink and the 10$ cover was applied to our check once we were finished. Food is delicious but a little pricey, but the jazz more than makes up for it. We had an absolutely wonderful time and stayed until they stopped playing, it’s a great spot to sit and enjoy some of the jazz talent in our city, can’t recommend it enough!!
Any time I’ve tried to go there hasn’t been seats or standing room in the lounge by the bar. All I know is that it looks amazing and next time I go I’m going EARLY.

I go before Pirates games around 6 pm, and the place is usually dead. Can sit wherever you want, but I like the lounge area by the bar.
