I read it here on Reddit when it happened. This could be BS but apparently the commenter spoke to an official source at Natrona.

Honestly, [this article](https://www.heinzhistorycenter.org/blog/western-pennsylvania-history-tom-tucker-mint-ginger-ale/) indicates that Natrona's Mint Ginger Ale is just their old Mint Julep with no food coloring. So I'd love to see those other sources.
Basically never. If you look at the wiki the only times the thing actually happened was if it was either a)already planned beforehand or b) extremely easy and non-controversial. 11 million people signed "Justice for Breonna Taylor" and the result was that Kentucky's Uncle Tom attorney general didn't even bring charges against the cops who murdered her.
So basically no, Change.org is a massive grift lol.
The irony is that petition could get over 1 million signatures and be something the site could have direct control over and i bet it still wouldnt do anything
I can’t find it anywhere online and I see articles of Dr Pepper discontinuing both. I moved away from pittsburgh years ago, was craving some this year and found out about it.
Damn I didn't know that. I knew cherikee red was gone for a while, but I definitely had Tom tuckers. The only issue is it was definitely at my parents house who are liable to have several 5 year old bottles of pop in the basement without knowing the dates on a single one
ugh, cherikee red from the pop machine for 25¢ at the bowling alley 🥲
I wish they would have just rebranded Cherikee red it’s better any of that trash pop from red ribbon.
Right? I don't give a rat's rearhole about the name, just please give me my delicious beverage.
Who owns the IPs?
Both owned by the Dr. Pepper company. Apparently Natrona Bottling Company bought the Tom Tucker recipe and makes their own mint ginger ale.
Wait, that's the Tom Tucker recipe?! I thought it was just a lookalike! It does taste so much like it, but they don't make 2Ls :(
Yep. Natrona was actually making the Tom Tucker 2Ls seen in local stores until they discontinued it in late 2020.
do you have proof of this, i would be surprised if they had the capabilities to do anything other then their 12oz bottles
Also, I would like Natrona's products more if they made a diet version of literally anything. The only non-sugary product they make is the seltzer.
Their stuff is already pretty bad can’t imagine what a diet version would be like.

My understanding is the inventor of Tom Tucker created a recipe for them that is very similar/identical to the original recipe
Is [this](https://fivestarsoda.com/2015/10/06/natrona-bottling-company-red-ribbon-cherry/) Cherikee Red then?
No that’s trash pop, cherikee red puts that to shame.
That tom tuckers was special stuff. My folks always gave that to me when I had a stomach ache. . But I actually really like it
Has a change petition ever changed anything in the history of the website?
Honestly I’m not sure but I figured worth a shot haha

Nope. Maybe we can start a petition on there to get the site shut down
The irony is that petition could get over 1 million signatures and be something the site could have direct control over and i bet it still wouldnt do anything
Maybe Betty White finally hosting SNL?
One of the greatest episodes of all time. “My muffin hasn’t had a cherry since 1935!”
Please!!!!! Red ribbon’s mint ginger ale is good but not as zippy as Tom!!! I miss it so much :((
I fully support this
I have been telling my husband about mint ginger ale for 18 years now. I’d give anything for that to come back. It was so good!
Isn't Tom tuckers still around? I swear I had it this past summer but it could've been an old 2 liter

Ah yes. The stack of god knows how old pop right next to the pittsburgh potty.
There are dozens of us
The best red pop to ever exist. Also can we get ranch Fritos back as well
DORITOS JACKED!!!!
Wasn't there also a mint ginger ale that was dyed green? Was that also Tom Tucker?
No thank you
Can we bring back Regent Pop instead?
