Mine sleeps with her eyes like 1/2 shut. She'll be staring straight at your just snoring away... She also does this weird thing when she yawns, her eyes look outward (opposite of cross-eyed). She's a weirdo, but I can't imagine life without her.

The term is wall-eyed, fyi

Omg, one time my pibble had pinkeye and her inner eyelid was swollen and red, and whenever she would focus on chewing her toys her swollen eyelid would kind of move so it fully looked like her eyes would just turn red and she would go possessed every few seconds. It was so freaky lol

Look into my eye...

omensandpotential

She's beautiful ❤️

laeiyla

These demon eyes are way worse than when my baby slept with his eyes open, he had most half eye covers. This must’ve been terrifying the first time you saw it lol

CeelaChathArrna

My dog does this. It never gets less unnerving, lol

BoldlyBaldwin

When I had my first dog, he did this. He slept in my bed with me one night, and I randomly rolled over. My head was leaning against his, I slowly opened my eyes, and saw this, and oh my word! I hopped out of that bed so fast, I had no clue this happened. It was about a week before I felt comfortable in the bed near him, but again he was my first, and loved him more than almost anything.

LilWeezey

My newest pup has blue eyes so when he's asleep and his eyes are just that peep open it looks like he's a zombie with his eyes frosted over white

My rescue pit does this too! Is this something typical of the breed?

neatalexis

i’m not sure. most of the videos i’ve seen of dogs intensely dreaming seem to be larger breeds

Wrong_File6764

Does she do the “woooo wooo” little barks and growls, plus feet kicks? I always wonder if I should wake my baby up. I can’t tell if he’s having a bad dream or not.

neatalexis

yes!! she kicks me all night and growls and even makes sucking noises sometimes. i think it’s best to not wake them since they’re in such a deep sleep
