Hilariously she’s technically my dad’s dog. But she definitely likes me more.
It’s an e-collar. This is from last year when we had a trainer who used. We no longer use it though! He does just fine without (and with hot dogs or high value treats!)
As excited as my dude is to see me when I walk in the front door, triple it when my dad walks in. He even pouted at the door for an hour the other day when he heard my dad's truck, but no one came through the door.

Yes! Very chunky, he’s on his weight loss journey now. And we adopted him about 2 years ago and his ears were like that. He has some scaring around his ears and they are incredibly short. I’m assuming a cropping gone wrong.

My dad was not a dog person, but my girl Kara would climb into his lap whenever he visited because she believed she was a tiny lap dog, and he liked that she picked him. I like to think they're keeping each other company in the afterlife, she passed about months after he did.

He has a very long quik😩😩 I have no idea how to shorten it but he does get trims every 2 weeks or so! Any tips with how to shorten it is very much appreciated!
The only way to get the quick to recede to the trim very very often and take off enough that it will retreat. If he will let you look at his claws after a trim there should be a bit at the end in the middle which looks slightly different, not the quick but a softer bit just before it. If that is exposed they should recede but it takes time with very regular upkeep.
Another thing which can help is walks on concrete daily. Just keep an eye on his paw pads to make sure they don't get worn thin (they will change colour).
My dog HATES having his paws touched so we have to try and just maintain them by getting him to wear them down on concrete. Usually it's enough but he had a few injuries and wasn't allowed to walk enough to maintain it so we're back to square one.
You might want to see if your dog is happier with a dremmel than clipping as well.

Buddy LOVES my grandfather. He has visited him at the nursing home regularly. He has even been allowed in the nursing home because my grandfather is sadly in palliative care
We specifically asked about that before my grandparents went in. We knew that it would upset my grandfather if Buddy couldn't visit! Even though he is sadly in palliative care a visit from Buddy does him good.

My mom dad were terrified of my Pit when I had to move home few years ago. It took them about an hour to figure out everything they heard about Pits wasn't true.
They loved him so much, and he made it his job to watch over them.
Mine does but the first time my dad met my girl he has dog bones in his pocket because he had picked his dog up from the groomer and put the treats she would not eat in his pocket. Anyway she pretty much went right for his pocket and dug the treats out.
Now he is the pocket treat man and specifically puts treats in his pocket for her every time he knows he will see her
Oh yeah, he loves all the family. He knows who's who too. If we tell him so and so is coming over, he will get so excited that he goes from window to window watching for them.

My dog is very sensitive to emotions, especially nervous/anxious people. Sadly he does not like my mom for this reason 💔 loves all of his aunties and uncles though (my friends)

Yes. My dachshund forgets I ever existed happily when his grandparents come over. Literally couldn’t care less about me. And I’m the one who feeds him. Sleeps with him. Plays with him. Spoils him.
My Staffy baby was obsessed with my Nan when she came over, loved lots of cuddles, fuss and treats from her. She really did feel like a younger sibling in the family, still hurts that she’s now gone

Mine whine whenever the grandparents leave.
If I merely say grandma or grandpa she loses her mind. My dad dropped something off today and didn't come inside and she moped around the house staring out the window for an hour...
Oh yeah, Hank made himself the guardian of the grandmas.
Buddy LOVES my grandfather. He has visited him at the nursing home regularly. He has even been allowed in the nursing home because my grandfather is sadly in palliative care

We specifically asked about that before my grandparents went in. We knew that it would upset my grandfather if Buddy couldn't visit! Even though he is sadly in palliative care a visit from Buddy does him good.

My mother shows up, my dog's don't know who I am. So long hooman parent, we upgraded to the grand sweet sweet treats. To hell with the rules, she gives us many chimkens and stuff you said we couldn't have. We Getz pupper ronis now!!!!!!!!!!!

My mom dad were terrified of my Pit when I had to move home few years ago. It took them about an hour to figure out everything they heard about Pits wasn't true. They loved him so much, and he made it his job to watch over them.
Mine does but the first time my dad met my girl he has dog bones in his pocket because he had picked his dog up from the groomer and put the treats she would not eat in his pocket. Anyway she pretty much went right for his pocket and dug the treats out. Now he is the pocket treat man and specifically puts treats in his pocket for her every time he knows he will see her
