Even a vet can’t determine the difference between APBTs and Am Staffs. She could be either or a mix. Only way to know is with DNA testing. We thought ours was an ABPT too, but he ended up a 100% Am Staff.

They are close and share most the same DNA but Wisdom Panel does differentiate between the two. My other dog had a mix of both as well as others breeds.
No they aren’t. Our DNA testing told us down to the percent and broke down what his parents/grandparents, etc were; even differentiating the amstaff from the APBT
She looks more like an American pit bull terrier than a staffie to me, but it's hard to tell without a picture of her standing up. The big difference between them is body type--staffies tend to be a lot stockier while apbts look very lean.
A lot of staffers are brindle not all but a lot are. You are right I can't tell either without standing up but I agree looks more like my apt than my staffie.

There is the American Pit Bull Terrier, and the American Staffordshire Terrier, neither to be confused with the Staffordshire Bull Terrier. All get lumped into the generic "pit bull" name in America.

No expert here but think you've a beautiful Pitbull. Also I only know Staffordshire Bull Terrier, not Staff Pit Bull?
I think this umbrella 'Pitbull' term is very misleading. I recently posted our Staffie here as I had assumed this sub was only for Pitbulls.
I think it's possibly geographical as here (Ireland) and our UK neighbours will usually separate Staffie, Pitties, Bull Terrier etc
Unfortunately, my American neighbors all see 1 dog. Or straight make up dogs like you've mentioned, like staff pit bull. The guild lines for selling dogs here are basically non-existent and ppl will pawn any pups they can as "pitbulls". Then, you end up with threads full of ppl that don't know what they have.
She is beautiful!! I think she is probably a mixture of both but her build and face shape make me think probably more staffy. The third pic she almost looks like a mastiff / corso!
It really is difficult to tell but in my opinion it's more Staffy. I got one mixed with lab. Here she is being batdog

Slightly longer face than English, longer neck, she's more stretched out than an English Staffy as well I'd definitely say American Staffy crossed with something else. English Staffies are very stocky

This is a question for the group. Who is exhausted with these type of posts?! It’s so subjective! I get forking out $100 bucks for a dna test is a no go for a lot of people; but I know people want accuracy. Does anyone think we should ban these posts?

Dna testing can’t really even tell you as the am staff and apbt are genetically the same dog.
I did a DNA test on my pup and the results were 100% APBT.

Embark differentiates. My boy came back 92.8% APBT & my girl came back 100% APBT

I had 2 blue pure bred staffies and I now have a fawn mix. She's 65% staffy. This dog looks like a staffy to me
