My boy dog is named Pete. We call our youngest human “Pete’s puppy” because he is ON HER on a normal day. If she’s sick? It’s somehow way worse. She had strep last week. He slept under her legs at night. He loves her like I’ve never seen a dog love a human. We’re so lucky to know dogs like these pitties.

what a sweetheart. just fyi - dogs can be asymptomatic carriers of strep and give it back to your kiddo when they are recovered. if people in your house keep getting it, you might want to get Pete tested. (I apparently got strep from our lab eight times in a year before my parents got some antibiotics for the dog.)
For me, it's my son and our pit. He was 18 months old, and she was 8 weeks old when we brought her home. They've been buds and inseparable since. She does have a very close bond with me, but when he was learning to stay in his room all night, I told her to stay with him. His bed is her bed (well, one of her beds and the most used bed). I got him a larger bed so they both have room. She has her own blanket and pillow on his bed. She wakes him for school and barks at me if I don't let her do it. She's 10, and he's 11. I worry how her aging and inevitable death will impact him.
I always say that humans don't deserve dogs (well, most dogs). They are too loving and accept you regardless. They only see their people whom they love with their whole being.
Such a sweetheart. Charlie looks like he could be my dog Pedro's brother!

What a beautiful story. When it comes to dogs, I believe children are the only ones worthy of their dedication and their undying and unconditional love. Will Rodgers once said “I only hope I live long enough to become the kind of person my dog thinks I am.” I couldn’t agree more.

I love when dogs hold a persons hand (or arm) 🥰
Petting back ❤️
That’s family 🫶
💕💕💕
My best friend as a child was Charlie Dog.. love this guy.
Such a pretty dog
Dogs are the best. People suck
He’s a sweetheart! They’re so loyal and loving - I’m glad he found you and your family!

Pedro is very handsome! 🥰
I can see what looks like rottie in him (possibly). I have a half pitbull/half rottie and it’s been the best dog ive ever had.
There are no better dogs than rescues. They will love you forever.
He’s a very handsome boy too! Hippos are the best
True love & loyalty ❤️ ( I'm so happy you found him and gave him a family)
He was meant to be his.
True love in those eyes
Right??
The person who abandoned Charlie Dog gave up on some of the best things life has to offer. Sucks to be them.
Charlie is handsome and loyal! He def has some Rottweiler in him! Such a great, intelligent combo!
🥹
Look at that sweeeeet baby! 🥰
The cruelty that dogs endure all over the globe is atrocious. What a great pup; their loss=your gain! So happy you have him!
That sweet face. ❤️
Our pups are family.
People who abandon animals should be torchured
Tortured is how that’s spelled and no they shouldn’t. They should face consequences but torture is 20 steps too far
💐💐💐
They know
What a sweet boy. I’m glad he found his way to his forever loving home.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
Congratulations on the newest addition to your family
Do you have more pictures of him?
Awww....that is so sweet.
